CHAPTER 1
ANALYSIS

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Websites are one of the most powerful tools ever developed to do almost anything. This

tool is used by almost every enterprise, big or small, to create bigger connections and of course,

to ease the burden of organizing and arranging complex issues and time-consuming processes.

Using a website also allows businesses to function beyond its normal scope and capabilities,

making each task easier and more productive even during critical situations. Furthermore, it may

also serve as a helping hand for those individuals who are quite busy doing their main job and

has minimal time to pursue their own businesses. That is why tons of individuals all around the

globe use automated systems such as websites to increase profitability and productivity.

Websites can vary from one kind to another. Other can work as an intermediary website.

Examples of these are Trivago and Google that serves as a means of helping users in solving

their inquiries about a certain problem. Some websites also serves a tool in which it they will be

able to be easily recognized by providing reliable resources to their users. Websites that act as an

extension of their business are also widely used throughout the whole web as it increases the

capability and reach of a business in attracting customers. Moreover, each website is flexible

enough to adapt to the drastic and constant changes in the trends and to the new information

needed to be applied by the management to their business. This is the reason why website can be

a perfect tool to solve all the users need in maintaining an online presence and of course, to

create a more formal system that will answer the needs of the users and the target audience.
In the world of commerce and trade, it is important for every business person to fully

optimize his/her time in dealing out with every processes necessary to provide what the market

needs. The preceding statements already concluded the importance of establishing a website and

it overall impact in optimizing the user's time and in dealing out with the sudden challenges that

might occur during the operations of the company or the business entity. Therefore, having a

website is necessity and not just an option that is only considered. In enabling a business to reach

its maximum potential, each businesses must be able to harness and fully grasp the power of

using technology firsthand.

1.2 OBJECTIVES

1.2.1 General Objectives

The general objective of this study is to create a system design that will be able to

accommodate all the customers of the entity in ordering and in contacting the business regarding

their inquiries and concerns about the product or the management itself.

1.2.2 Specific Objectives

1. To create a system where the management will be able to easily input their products in

the website;

2. To create a eye-catching, user-friendly website;

3. To create a menu list for the target audience;

4. To allow the target audience to order online;

5. To provide target audience with a contact page ; and

6. To create an record interface for the management to see the current orders.

1.3 SCOPE AND LIMITATION

The study will focus on developing a website that will serve as the main place where the

customers will be able to contact, get order/s, and ask questions from the business. The

developers will gather all the information necessary to create a menu list, order interface, and a

contact page that will directly support the whole sales operation of the company. The developers

will also be needing to create a website that has the certain features to meet all the steps needed

in making sales more convenient for both the customer and the business. These are the

following:

Friendly Interface. The website, for the customers to be attracted, must be pleasing to the

eye and must catch the attention of every bypasser. This will be able to help the business in

increasing their influence and the number of organic traffic in the website, therefore, gaining

better sales and marketing results. It will also serve as a support or guide for the management to

easily adjust anything that they need in the website.

Home page. Through this, the customers will be able to see the basic information about

the website and about the business itself. This can also be used as a means of initially attracting

the customers as this will be the first thing that they will see once they direct themselves in the

website.
Menu List. The Menu list serves as the account for all the products offered by the

company. Through this, the customers will be able to know what they offer even before going to

the order slip itself.

Order List/Slip. The order slip includes the same products stated in the menu list and it

also allows the customers to order from the website. They may also prescribe certain adjustments

about the product with a corresponding response from the management making the task of

taking orders harmonious throughout the whole system.

Contact Page. This is where the customers can take their time in asking for other things

related to the business. All they have to do is to fill out the necessary information and their

inquiry and the system will automatically send it to a certain account where the business will be

able to read their request and respond accordingly.

Record Page. This refers to the location where the orders will be stored once they were

sent. The management, through the record, will be able to see the current orders coming in from

the website.

The limitation of the website is will mainly depend on the capability of the company to

respond to such coverage. They can request as to how wide is the target market and the certain

niche that they are targeting in their business. As for formality, the possible range could be

within the city only as delivering certain perishable products might affect the value and the status

of the goods.
CHAPTER 2

DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY

2.1 SYSTEMS FUNCTIONAL DESIGN

The systems functional design includes all the necessary process in creating a proper

website exclusively for the purpose of optimizing the time of the management at the same time,

pursuing the main goal of the company which is to maximize sales.

The design of the system will be particularly based on the qualitative side of the

company. To achieve the main purpose of the management, the first thing that must be adapted

by the developers is a creative interface that will attract the customers and will allow them to

easily use the system at the same time. Moreover, the assumption that the website being created

relies on a qualitative information is that the management itself will the ones who are deciding

about the things that must be inputted in the menu and order list. Therefore, everything will be

based more on the use of creative minds rather than analytics.

There will be two figures that will be describing how the whole website works. Figure 1

depicts how will the website will be created and how will it be published online. Figure two

focuses on how the users will be able to navigate the website upon publication.
Figure 1. Process of Creating the Website to Publishing

Figure 2. Navigating the website

To create the website, the developers must first create a system that can support a

database. A database will be needed for the system to save the information going to be inputted

by the management to the website. Once this feature is accomplished. It is now time for the

developers to create an interface for the whole website. The interface must be friendly enough

for the customers to navigate and for the management to control and maintain. The interface will

then be followed by a continuous process of arranging each page of the website, namely; (1)

Home page, (2) Menu page, (3) Order Page, (4) Record Page, and (5) Contact Page.

Accomplishing all of these will now enable the developers to publish the website online and be

fully used by customers

Once published, the process of how the customers will navigate must be taken into

consideration. Of course, the first process that will be seen by the external user is the home page.

From there on, he/she can either be directed to the order slip or the contact page (figure two).

The user can also navigate through the order slip in the contact page and vice versa. If the

customer continues to order, the order will then be sent to the record page where the

management can see the current orders and personally contact you regarding your request. If the

customer chooses to leave an inquiry, such inquiry will be then sent to the managements

personal account where the business can respond personally.

The process is only limited to what the website can offer. Therefore, any transaction or

movements beyond the use of the website will be under the discussion another study regarding to

how the business respond to such information.

2.2 SYSTEM WIREFRAME

The system wireframe includes all of the interface and design that will be seen by

the users, both internal and external, once the website is completely furnished. The researchers

has provided all the necessary interface that will set as the guideline in building the website and

making it appropriate to solve all the necessary issues of the management with regards to their

application of the system to their operations. The following images depicts the wireframe that

will be followed by the researchers in creating a website.
