Applications in
Sandstones and Carbonates - ASC
Although acidizing is the oldest method of well stimulation, it is often applied with mixed
results. It remains, however, a valuable tool for improving well productivity. The key to
acidizing success is in the understanding of how it works, the optimum conditions for its
application, and proper evaluation of well response after the acidizing treatment. The
instructor will present many of the practical aspects of acidizing applications and help
provide a better understanding of acidizing as a tool for enhancing well performance.
"The materials in the book are well written, and the slides provide excellent guidelines and
rules of thumb that a young engineer can take and apply." - Production Engineer, United
States
"Most topics are informative and useful, including sandstone acidizing, acid fracturing,
additives, etc. I appreciated Alfred's clarification of [participants'] questions from previous
day." - Senior Research Engineer, United States
Designed For:
Engineers and other personnel involved with the daily operation and management of
producing oil and gas wells; production engineers and reservoir engineers involved with
well stimulation applications would also benefit from attending this course
