1.1 All testing apparatus shall be periodically checked and calibrated and records of
such checks/calibration shall be maintained.
2. TEST RECORDS - All records of tests and inspection shall be kept in suitable
forms approved by the Bureau.
2.1 Copies of any records and other connected papers that may be required by the
Bureau shall be made available at any time on request.
4. STANDARD MARK The Standard Mark, as given in column (1) of the First
schedule of the licence, shall be stenciled or printed on a metallic or cloth label securely
attached to the finished coil, provided always that the coil to which this mark is thus
applied conforms to every requirements of the specification.
5.1 For each consignment of BIS certified material conforming to IS14268 : 1995, a test
certification as per format given in Annexure-1, shall be issued.

6 PACKING Unless otherwise agreed to between the purchaser and the supplier the
strand shall be packed as per Cl.8 of IS 14268:1995.
7. LEVELS OF CONTROL The analysis and tests, as indicated in Table 1 and at the
levels of control specified therein, shall be carried out on the whole production of the
factory which is covered by this scheme and appropriate records and charts maintained in
accordance with paragraph 2 above. All the production which conforms to the Indian
Standard and covered by this licence shall be marked with the Standard Mark.
8. In respect of all other clauses of the specification the factory shall maintain
appropriate control and checks to ensure that their product conforms to the requirements
of these clauses.
9. RAW MATERIALS - The raw materials used in the product shall be tested
before use and appropriate records shall be maintained as per para 2 above.
11. SAMPLES The licensee shall supply, free of charge, the samples required in
accordance with Bureau of Indian Standard (Certification) Regulation, 1988, as
subsequently amended, from his factory or his godowns. The Bureau shall pay for
the samples taken by it from the open market.
12. REPLACEMENT Whenever a complaint is received soon after the goods with
Standard Marks have been purchased and used, and if there is adequate evidence
that the goods have not been misused, defective goods are replaced or repaired free of
cost by the licensee in case the complaint is proved to be genuine and the warranty
period (where applicable) has not expired. The final authority to judge the conformity of
the product to the Indian Standard shall be with the Bureau.
13. STOP MARKING The marking of the product shall be stopped under intimation
to the Bureau if, at any time, there is some difficulty in maintaining the conformity of
their product to the specification, or the testing equipment goes out of order. The marking
may be resumed as soon as the defects are removed under intimation to Bureau.
14. PRODUCTION DATA The licensee shall maintain data for imported strand as per
enclosed proforma-1, which may be authenticated by Chartered Accountant or by the
licensee by giving affidavit (which may be required along with renewal application). The
licensee shall sent to the Bureau as per the enclosed proforma-2 and proforma-3 a
statement of quantity produced, marked and exported by him and the trade value thereof
during the half year ending 30 June and 31 December. This statement is required to be
forwarded to the Bureau on or before 31st day of July and January for the preceding half
year.

*This test shall be carried out on one sample once a month for 100 hrs. duration and the graph extrapolated to 1000 hrs. duration and
proper records kept. Test for 1000 hrs. shall be done once a year for one size. The selection of sample shall be so rotated that each size
(and class where applicable)covered in due course of time.
