Platform: Vectr

Conceptualization:

The major difference from my final project and the conceptualization consists in the
scope of the project. At first I was going to create 2 vectors, one being statistics of how
youth adopt technology, the second being the way I use technology. Finally creating a
3rd vector contrasting the first two vectors. At the time this made sense but after a while
I realized technology was far too broad a subject so I narrowed it down to usage of
social media platforms. Overall everything else stayed completely the same according
to the concept such as assets used, audience, and consumption.

Changed & Reasoning

Layers - Added more layers to spice up the design such as the speech bubbles
to enhance the relationship of a social media theme
Box Sizes - Bad estimation of word count, some boxes needed more words than
originally thought of, therefore boxes were made bigger to compensate for word
count causing all other boxes to get larger to make it symmetrical
Position of Boxes - Original box position seemed off so moved around slightly
Position of Text Boxes - As the position of boxes had to change so did the text
boxes as they were no longer centered therefore their positions had to be slightly
altered to the left or to the right
Size of text boxes - Some titles would drop down to the second line so to keep
everything consistent, I spaced out the text box more to allow for the title to flow
smoothly across one line
 Colors of text - Not originally included in design document but differed for each
slide to fit with the theme and ease of readability

Design Process:

Overall the design process could have been very more detailed as not everything was
so simple as just adding boxes and then added the required text as some information
had to be copy and pasted or altered(remixed) to therefore not plagiarize. Also each
page was kind of a different story, therefore some steps could be added or deleted.
Basically each page did not have the same steps as the other 2 pages.

Revised Design Process:

1. Create outline of Page 1,2,3 ( Large Rectangle fit to screen)

2. Color each large rectangle according to page theme
3. For Page 1: Add a Title Text box, place at top of the vector
4. Add 4 Text boxes, place in the round rectangles
5. Color 4 text boxes according to page theme
6. Place speech bubble into bottom 2 rectangles, (fit to all edges, play with
the sizing)
7. Paste image of statistic/graph into top 2 boxes
8. Add text (information) to bottom 2 boxes according to the Vector
9. Color text according to theme of page
10. For Page 2: Add a Title Text box, place at top of the vector
11. Add 4 Text boxes, place in the round rectangles
12. Place speech box(not bubble) into bottom 2 round rectangles(fit to edges)
13. Paste images of statistic/graph into top 2 boxes
14. Add text (information) to bottom 2 boxes according to the Vector
15. Color text according to theme of page
16. For page 3: Create Large top rectangular boxes to fit across the top portion
of the screen
17. Create 1 Large round rectangular boxes underneath the large rectangular
box
18. Add graph to top large rectangular box
19. Add information to bottom box according to Vector theme
20. Color text according to theme of page
21. Add finishing touches
22. Revise, Review, repeat
23. Submit
3 Additional Principles of Design:
Readability:

The document is hard to read due to the size of the pages itself. Next time create
the vectors a little more larger and use bigger font to make sure information is
easily readable.

Legibility:

Making text big enough is important for readers to be able to fully understand
what they are reading

Serial Positioning Effect

First and Last Item are remembered the most, therefore of the 2 pages, snapchat
and instagram would be remembered the most, with facebook information being
the least recalled
