WORK EXPERIENCE
Welcome guests, escorts and seat them to tables, and provide menus.
Accepts bookings and keeping the booking diary up to date.
Prepares Contract and Banquet Event Order.
Reserves tables and allocate these reservations to particular stations.
Answers telephone calls.
Turn-over guests to assigned dining crew.
Presents menu to guests and answers questions regarding the menu. Explain how
various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking method.
Makes recommendations and informs guests of current specials.
Rectifies tables according to the number of guests.
Take orders and serve food and beverages.
Checks with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and attend to any concerns.
Clears the table and delivers chinaware, flatware and glassware to the stewarding area.
Requests cashier to close and prepare check, presents same to guest and accept
payment.
Resets table.
Makes all necessary preparation for meals served for all meal periods by performing
such duties as mis-en-place, etc.
Wipes and polishes flatware, chinaware and glassware.
Cleans and organize side stations.
Attends daily briefing, general staff meetings, in-house training, etc.
Checks pantry and linen stocks.
Attends guest complaints.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by superior from time to
time.
Job Description: CASHIER
Greet the guest and ensure that the waiter is serving them.
Ascertain that menu item prices are correctly displayed and update changes as required.
Ensure that any discounts or promos are communicated with the guest.
Inform guests the modes of payment.
Ensure cash count at the beginning of each shift and sufficient change is available.
Operate POS and punch ordered items into the system.
Recheck punched items to ensure correct billing and print them out.
Place printed bills in bill folders before presenting to the guest.
Received and count cash payments and tender change.
Process debit or credit card payments and ensure that receipts are signed and cards
returned.
Balanced cash drawers at the end of each shift and make sure that any discrepancies are
resolved prior to closedown.
Fill out bank deposit slips and deposit all earned cash at the end of the day.
Ascertain that there is sufficient change available at the beginning of each day.
Answers phone calls for queries and reservations.
Take and process orders for takeaway and make follow up to ensure that they are
prepared on time.
Ascertain that inventory of supplies such as condiments, napkins and food items is
updated on a constant basis.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
SKILLS
Proficient in computer software application such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
Photoshop
Customer-oriented and equipped with good communication skills
Can quickly absorb instructions and procedures
Capable of working for long hours if needs arise
