METHODOLOGY

MATERIALS

1.)135 ml Chili pepper (Capsicum annuum) adding more might kill the ants.

2.)15grams Black pepper it works with the chili the black pepper tells the ants theres

no sugar ahead. 3.) 262 milliliters Orange peel (Citrus sinesis) adding more can kill

the ants. 4.) 47.4 milliliters Cinnamon essential oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)

adding more can also kill the ants. 5.) 474 milliliters Water so that the pesticide wont

have that much concentration. 6.) Graduated cylinder to get accurate measurement

for liquid substances. 7.) Electronic balance used to measure solid substances. 8.)

Beaker for temporary container. 9.) Spray bottles container for the pesticide. 10.)

Litmus paper to separate liquid and solid.11.) Gloves used for handling the

cinnamon.

PROCEDURE

Preparation of the Spray with Orange Peel

The researchers added a 265 milliliters orange peels extract and 474 milliliters

of water in a beaker and mix it using a stirring rod.

Preparation of the Spray with Chili

The researchers added a 135 milliliter of chili pepper,15grams of black pepper,

and 474 milliliters of water in a beaker and mixed it using a stirring rod.
Preparation of the Spray with Cinnamon Essential Oil

The researchers added 47.3176 milliliters of cinnamon essential oil and 474

milliliters of water in a beaker and mixed it using a stirring rod.

Applying the spray

The researchers placed a chocolate chip cookie in a tray (the tray has

a proximal distance of 30 centimeter on all sides) then they added 30 ants in

the tray. The researchers placed little bits of water around the tray so that the

ants wont get out of the tray. When all ants are already attracted to the

chocolate chip cookie the researchers sprayed 2milliliter of Chili, Orange

peel, and Cinnamon at the ants it was sprayed at a distance of 5 centimeter

applying the spray less than 5 centimeter can drown the ants.

Computation of the Effectiveness of the Spray

First they subtracted the percentage of dead in the heck plat from the

corresponding figure for the treated plat and called the remainder the

effectiveness of the treatment.

Let X = the percent living in the check.

Let Y = the percent living in the treated plat.

Then X Y = the percent killed by the treatment

And the percent killed by the treatment (X Y) divided by the percent

of living in the check (X) gives the control or expressed by an equation.
