FUTURE CONTINUOUS

The future continuous has two forms, one with the form will be and the other with the form going
to be, both with the main verb ending in -ing. They are pretty much the same and can be used in
the same cases.

FUTURE WILL BE
This future is built with the future form will be + the main verb ending in -ing.

STRUCTURE
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES
To build the affirmative sentences we use the form will be + the main verb ending in -ing.

Subject + will be + main verb+ing

Examples:

I will be watching a movie tonight. Estar viendo una pelcula esta noche. She will be eating with his brother. Estar comiendo con su
hermano. Peter and Mary will be traveling around France. Peter and Mary estarn viajando por Francia.

NEGATIVE SENTENCES
To build the negative sentences we add not after will. We can use the contraction wont.

Subject + will not (wont) be + main verb+ing

Examples:

I will not be watching a movie tonight. No estar viendo una pelcula esta noche. She wont be eating with his brother. No estar
comiendo con su hermano. Peter and Mary will not be traveling around France. Peter and Mary no estarn viajando por
Francia.

INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES
To build the interrogative sentences we use the following structure:

Will + subject + be + main verb+ing

Examples:

Will you be watching a movie tonight? - Estars viendo una peli esta noche? Will she be eating with her brother? - Estar comiendo
con su hermano? Will Peter and Mary be traveling around France? - Peter and Mary estarn viajando por Francia?
FUTURE GOING TO BE
This future is built with the future form going to be + the main verb ending in -ing.

STRUCTURE
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES

-ing.

Subject + am/is/are + going to be + main verb+ing

Examples:

I am going to be watching a movie tonight. Voy a estar viendo una pelcula esta noche. She is going to be eating with his brother.
Ella va a estar comiendo con su hermano. Peter and Mary are going to be traveling around France. Peter and Mary van a
estar viajando por Francia.

NEGATIVE SENTENCES
To build the negative sentences we add not after the axiliary verb to be.

Subject + am/is/are not + going to be + main verb+ing

Examples:

I am not going to be watching a movie tonight. No voy a estar viendo una pelcula esta noche. She is not going to be eating with his
brother. Ella no va a estar comiendo con su hermano. Peter and Mary arent going to be traveling around France. Peter and
Mary no van a estar viajando por Francia.

Va a estar comiendo con su hermano? Are Peter and Mary going to be traveling around France? - Peter and Mary van a estar

I am going to be taking a bath when you call. Voy a estar dndome una ducha cuando llames.
