on Sat. and closed on Sun. Main workshops; Studium Generale will publish a new programme every two months. In addition, Conservatorium Maastricht invites
building open on Sat. and Sun. guest teachers for master classes regularly. These will be published on the website and on the publishing boards in the entrance

19-09-2017, 19:30. Studium Generale lecture series 'Human Rights'. This series of lectures will explore the significance of human
rights in a globalizing world, and it will demonstrate how human rights are increasingly becoming an instrument by which the
negative side-effects of globalization may be challenged. Lecture 1. Introduction to International Human Rights. The other

4/10 Maastricht jazz awards (semi-final); professionals Master circle 1 (time and place will be announced on Blackboard). Master circles are mandatory sessions, which focus on
artistic research, in mixed groups of Master 1 and Master 2 students. They take place on various days and times, and will be
scheduled by the research coach
02-10-2017, 20:00. Studium Generale lecture "Why does a Good Life have to be Well-Balanced?" Prof. Ignaas Devisch, Professor
of Ethics, Philosophy and Medical Philosophy, Ghent University. We work less, but we have more to do. We have more free time,
but we sleep less. While we complain about stress we plan overfilled days. But is restlessness really a problem? Free of charge.

8-20/11 film project Krakow/Karlsruhe/Maastricht 16-11-2017 Lecture 'Visual Culture'. In this lecture guest professor Dirk Reynders will give you insight in several aspects of visual
culture and what the impact is for artists and musicians. How can musicians be more aware of the visual aspects of their
performance, and use it to enhance their performance? Dirk Reynders graduated from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as PhD in
Communication Studies, option Visual Communication. In addition to his doctoral degree, he studied Film Studies and Visual
Culture at the University of Antwerp, Queer Studies at The University of Manchester and Fashion Photography at The University
of Arts in London.
At the moment he is part time lecturer Media Studies and Photo theory at the Maastricht Academy of Media, Arts, Design and
Technology (MADT-Zuyd University) and at the Media, Arts & Design Faculty (Catholic University College).
