Todo ello nos indica que para comprender un mensaje no basta con
activar los prerrequisitos y seleccionar los elementos relevantes del
mismo, es preciso tambin que el alumno maneje la informacin
hasta llegar a organizarla personalmente y prepararla para su
integracin. La investigacin ha demostrado que cuantas ms
relaciones se establezcan entre los elementos de una informacin
mejor es comprendida, integrada y retenida.

Segn las causas a las que el sujeto atribuye los resultados obtenidos
se puede hablar de patrones atribucionales adaptativos, que
favorecen la motivacin acadmica, y desadaptativos, que la
inhiben.

En esta lnea se seala que los alumnos que tienen problemas para
abordar las tareas acadmicas, muestran, por lo general, un patrn
atribucional desadaptativo, que repercute muy negativamente
sobre su motivacin y rendimiento, mostrando una escasa confianza
en sus capacidades y tendiendo a atribuir sus xitos, en mayor
medida, a factores externos.
