SolarWrights & WindWrights

CHALLENGE
SolarWrights, a solar energy company, and their
sister company WindWrights, were struggling with
marketing demands coming in to their company
headquarters from a handful of regional offices
throughout the Northeast. We worked with them
to develop a strategy for managing these requests
and empowering the marketing staff in the regional
offices with easy to use, editable templates and print-
on-demand functionality.

SOLUTION
Challenged by having a number of different regional
offices with individual marketing demands, we
worked with the marketing team to develop a
series of high quality, editable, and visually effective
marketing pieces and worked with a printing company
that helped us to implement a print management
and distribution system so that each office could edit,
check inventory, and re-order marketing materials
direct from the warehouse as needed. All of the
paper items were printed on recycled, FSC certified
paper using vegetable based inks and offset with
renewable energy credits. We then redesigned the
existing e-mail marketing template and conducted
staff training in e-mail marketing best practices and
use of e-mail marketing software.

Confident Captain/Ocean Pros

CHALLENGE
Confident Captain/Ocean Pros, a training facility
for professional mariners from across the globe,
needed an image update. With the addition of
several new programs and having recently moved to a
sophisticated new facility, it was time to refresh their
identity.

SOLUTION
After freshening up the existing visual identity to
better convey the professional level of the training
programs, we worked to redesign their website to
communicate the range of training offerings and
promote their new programs. We developed “The
Captain’s Weekly Dispatch”, a highly successful
weekly e-newsletter featuring maritime news and
industry developments. We then conducted staff
training in e-mail marketing best practices and use
of a low-cost e-mail marketing program so that the
e-newsletter could be maintained and distributed
by company staff. Other projects included design
of custom web graphics for e-mail marketing, staff
blogs, and print/online advertising.

Affordable Concrete Cutting

CHALLENGE
Affordable Concrete Cutting was looking for a new
way to communicate with their audience. Having
produced a number of high quality videos and needing
a place to showcase their work, they decided that
Facebook was where they needed to be.

SOLUTION
We set up a business Facebook page for Affordable
Concrete Cutting and populated the page with videos,
photos, a discussion board and links. Armed with
our Quick-Start Guide, a freebie with any new social
media account that we set up, the team at ACC
was able to get up and running with social media
without breaking the bank! To keep the page current
and running smoothly, ACC enrolled in a monthly
maintenance plan so that for a small fee, we post
status updates, photos, videos and links as well as
keeping an eye on the statistics and overall success of
the page.

new business name and logo. Our work included


working closely with the marketing departments
to develop marketing materials and messaging to
communicate that in spite of the merger of the
two companies, they could rely on the continued
commitment to quality and customer service they’d
come to expect. We worked on both internal and
external press releases, direct mail, graphics, e-mail
blasts and updated the existing marketing library to
reflect this momentous change.

fleet, Sightsailing contacted us to design marketing
collateral and advertisements to reflect the growth of
their business- and to show off their new schooner!

SOLUTION

advertisements and a backlit display for the Newport
