CLASSIFICATION FLAG STATE


SOCIETY

A ship that has been registered in Classification Society and choosing their
Flag State must be following CS and FS rules, in example if ship A registered by
BKI it means ship A must be following BKI rules and choosing indonesian Flage
State which were they ratified statutory regulation (ex:SOLAS,MARPOL), ship A
must be following this rules too. In conclusion, classification rules issued by
Classification Society and Statutory Regulation based on each Flag State
ratified on it.

4. FLAGE STATE
Is a state who has laws/authority to the vessel that registerred or
licenced on it. Flag State has authority to enforce regulation on its
members. Usually Flag State delegate any other organization
(ex : BKI,SI) to check the ships which has been their member following
the rules which they ratified or not.
