Many films have a USP to help promote them.

The film Halloween (2007) was extremely successful for a variety of reasons. Despite having an
extremely low budget of $15 million, the film managed to gain high publicity and totalled $80.2 million
the second highest grossing film. The film was directed by underground director Rob Zombie, who
also wrote, produced, and served as the music producer for the film. The low budget was associated
with the franchise audience Halloween was part of a larger franchise with the commercially
successful film from 1978. This garnered a large audience of horror fans and loyal fans of the
franchise. The majority of the music used was recycled from the original film and did not star any
major actors Malcolm McDowell starred as the main character, however, he does not have any
strong credentials despite starring in small roles in independent films meaning he did not cost a lot to
cast. The film was released on 31st August 2007, only three days before Labour Day (an American
public holiday), therefore engaging a wide audience wanting to watch a film on their holiday. The film
was released by Dimension Films and MGM two large major companies that create an image of a
highly-produced film in the audiences eyes despite the extremely low budget.
