For the past 18 years, Ive done something controversial (that has gained me a few critics): Ive been teaching money
from a spiritual perspective.

I want to teach people how to catch those blessings instead of letting those blessings fall to the ground. And I want
to teach people how to lend and not borrow.
But good people have a problem. They dont see these financial blessings, they dont want to accept these financial
blessings, and they dont know what to do with the financial blessings when they come.
Why? Two major reasons: Wrong Theology of Money and a Wrong Strategy of Money.

From SuperGold to Platinum: Macky

Igots TRC Story

Once every quarter, he would travel all the way from Cebu to Manila just to attend a whole day seminar. Right after
the seminar, he would travel back to Cebu.
His name is Macky Igot, a Platinum member of TrulyRichClub. And yes, the seminar he attends every quarter is the
exclusive closed-door seminar/meeting for the Platinum members of TrulyRichClub.
I joined TrulyRichClub as a SuperGold sometime in 2013.I lovelistening to the talks of Bro. Bo. I listen to his talks
while Im driving. I would also watch the TRC videos he would send via
snail mail.
Macky shared that his membership with TrulyRichClub not only
helped him grow his real estate business, it also helped him grow his
relationship with his wife and children.
His real estate business started with two bungalow units in the
vacant lot his father, who is also into real estate, gave him. Today, he has
two two-storey buildings with 17 parking spaceswhich he rents out.
In addition, he said TRC helped him become more generous. He
sponsored the education of two kids one is about to enter high school
while the other one is about to enter college.
Macky shared that Bro. Bos talks, books, and videos influenced him
a lot! While watching one of the TrulyRichClub videos, he told himself that
he wanted to experience the videos live!
That prompted him to upgrade his membership to Platinum. Aside
from that, Macky also shared that he wanted to meet mentors.
I was desperate for mentors I can interactwithbecause I wanted to
grow my real estate business. I learned from Bro. Bos talks the importance
of havingmentors.

members, most of whom are entrepreneurs, during the quarterly

TRC helped me have a balanced life in terms of my relationship with God, my family, and my business.
One of the principles I live by, which wasstrengthened through TRC, is this: Quantity time with our family and quality
time with your work. Because you can only find quality time with your family if you allot quantity time. With work, you
need to beefficient so youll have more time with your family. At the end of the day, my family is the reason why I work.

How to Avoid Spending Too Much

Some of our relatives and people we know come home from the mall or the supermarket on a weekend or after
payday with bags of goods that they definitely know they dont need. Whether
they admit it or not. Or are you just like them?
Theres a study that says theres a simple solution to this kind of problem and
were going to find it out in a bit.
When we visited SM a few months back, a statue of Batman stood firm and
tall between the toys section and the appliances display area of the department
store. Its as if Batman was saying to SM customers and window-shoppers,Akong
BAThala sa inyo.
And so we witnessed how many people in the appliances section were talking
about buying that fancy P300-salt and pepper shakers on sale when you can actually
get the same pair for less than P100 at the public market.
According to onestudy,gratitude helps reduce economic impatience or
shopping impulsivity. The study included a test where participants could choose
to receive $54 on the same day or wait for one month before receiving $80. Then,
through self-reflection activities, the participants were encouraged and made to
feel happy, grateful, or neutral.
Normally, delayed-gratification experiments result in people choosing to
receive the money immediately. The test revealed just the same except for those
people who were made to feel grateful. They preferred to wait for another month to receive the $80.
One reason for this according to the researchers is that people spend impulsively in order to fill something missing
in them emotionally. And impulsive buying can somehow relieve them from the emptiness or boredom that a they were
feeling. However, if we are reminded of something to be grateful for then were less likely to feel that emptiness.
Other reasons why people become impulsive buyers are because they are overworked, sleepless, anxious, and
distracted. Therefore, according to the same researchers, teaching ourselves to be grateful can induce a more calm,
mindful state.
The truth is, feeling grateful is more effective than thinking aboutWill I buy this or not?which can only lead to
more stress and budgeting worries. Being grateful can also increase the feelings of being truly happy in life.

Can Overspending Really Make One Happier?

Sometime a year ago, I wrote an article about upgrading lifestyle after receiving a salaryincrease or a new job with
a higher pay. So let me ask again, When your salary increases, do you upsize your lifestyle?
We recently interviewed around 30 OFWs in Saudi Arabia who either got promoted or received salary raises in the
past six months. Our correspondents asked them if they were able to keep their levels of spending as it was half year back
before they got their raise. Only three persons were able to answer Yes and that they have not increased their spending
despite the windfall. And these three persons enjoy the idea of saving for future gratification.
Being thankful for what you have is key to becoming happy and content. Generosity can be one of your major
motivations to achieve financial healing.

How to Use Internet Marketing to

Boost Your Business (Part 1)

All of us know that the world we live in today is highly powered by technology. This applies to entrepreneurs too.
Knowing how to leverage the different uses of technology will definitely make a difference in how we run our businesses.
The Internet, in particular, is an essential tool in any business. With just a few clicks or swipes, people from anywhere
in the world can learn more about ones business if youre using the Internet correctly, of course.
To help us learn more about how the Internet can help ones business thrive, weve asked not just one but two
credible sources to share their insights on the topic first, in this issue, and then in the succeeding issue.
For starters, we have Marge Abersturi, the virtual entrepreneur behind MargeAberasturi.com. As a virtual assistant,
one of the many roles Aberasturi plays for her clients is to help them do Internet marketing as an income stream.
Internet marketing is when you promote a product using the Internet, either through your own website, email
marketing, paid advertising, press releases, or affiliate marketing, Abersturi explains. Marketing efforts, and eventually
results, are increased a hundredfold with Internet marketing.

Traditional Marketing Methods versus Internet Marketing Methods

Abersturi goes on to share why every entrepreneur should use Internet marketing to boost his or her business. If
in a traditional marketing strategy which used to be just placing advertisements over the radio, television, billboards,
magazines and newspapers you are reaching maybe a thousand people for every peso that you spend on advertising,
with Internet marketing, you increase that reach a hundred, maybe even a thousandfold, and maybe even at a lower cost.
Imagine publishing a search engine optimized (SEO) article on your website once, and it will be there forever, as
opposed to TV exposure that will only last for the pocket of airtime you have paid for, in a limited geographic area, she
continues. The Internet is universal. Your customer reach can only be limited by how effective your strategy is.

Leveraging Social Media for Your Business

Abersturi shares her experience of how the Internet particularly social media is helping her own business.
I live in a small town in Batangas, and my crocheted products can be seen by people I dont know in the U.S., Italy,
Canada everywhere. And I have not even spent a single cent on advertising yet, she says. I only have my website (www.
CraftedCrafts.com), my Facebook Page, and Instagram accounts.
Despite the fact that Abersturi has not yet invested financially in online marketing efforts, she has already been
earning income for her crafts business.
I have sold my crocheted items just by posting photos of my finished projects online, she shares. And people who
are following me on social media are all organic, meaning I have not paid for any ads, nor have I offered anything just for
them to follow me. Im just going through the process naturally. Imagine what could happen if I had a great strategy in
place.

Business Tips for Entrepreneurs and Wannabe Entrepreneurs

For existing business owners or those who plan to start a business that includes Internet Marketing as a means to
earn more income, Abersturi shares the following tips:

1. Come up with a fantastic product.

You need to have a great product that you wont be shy to offer to your customers. Thats a no-brainer, Abersturi
says.

I am the product, she explains. With hundreds of thousands of virtual assistants worldwide, how do I compete? I
give my clients value proposition, that extra mile that is not written on the contract.
I also developed my brand by actually living it. I have a story to share. Its authentic, its real. People get to know
me, and consequently trust me to do them right by their business.
Abersturi says the same thing applies with physical products. You have to develop a story around your brand,
around each product that you offer, so that people will feel a connection, try it out, and become regular users, she explains.

2. Get to know your target market.

Know who are the customers that you want to sell your products to, Abersturi expounds. Because Im a virtual
assistant, I have a list of who my ideal clients are.
Once youve gotten to know your target customers, Abersturi recommends that you develop strategies on how you
can communicate to these customers in a way that is sustainable and natural.

3. Be prepared to work hard.

Last, but definitely not the least, know that it is hard work to put up a business, and harder still to make it successful,
Abersturi shares. So be ready to put in extra care and extra hours in building your marketing framework.
Abersturi advises investing in a self-hosted website, and having it search engine optimized. Also, develop powerful
content, have a strong social media presence, diligently build an email database through opt-ins, focus on strategies, not
campaigns, and be up-to-date with industry trends.

At the start of 2016, theres an Old Testament passage that Id like to share with you. Let this verse define the next
12 months of your life..
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the
work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none (Deuteronomy 28:12).
Packed into this short passage are three powerful truths:

1. The Storehouse of Gods Blessings Is Open

I believe God has a gigantic Bodega of Blessings, and its called the universe. And the door of that bodega is open!
God says, Come in! Get the blessing that you need.
Question: Are you regularly walking into Gods Storehouse of Blessing for all that you need? Is this a daily habit? I
hope so. If you need anything, believe that theres this bodega waiting for you. Believe that youre surrounded by all that
you need. Do you need love? Joy? Peace? Strength? Money?

2. Its Raining Blessings

Second, you may not know it, you may not feel it, you may not understand it, you may not think you deserve it, but
its raining blessings on your life. Its not a drizzle of blessing. Its a downpour of blessing. Its raining cats and dogs and
horses and carabaos and elephants. But heres the catch. The Bible says, to send rain on your land in season
There are seasons in life. Sometimes, theres rain. Sometimes, theres no rain.
Note: Seasons are good.
When I was a kid, our science teacher gave us a gardening project. We were to plant vegetables in the schoolyard.
Each student was given a little patch of land to plant seeds and water every day. Sadly, all our gardens died. Because one
of my classmates had a secret ambition to be a fireman. Every day, he acted out his fantasies by watering our garden for
hours. So much so our garden looked like the great flood of Noah.
Sometimes, when theres no rain, it doesnt mean God doesnt love you. Sometimes, it simply means youre in a
season when there is supposed to be no rainbut that season is important for your plants to grow.
So when theres rain, you need to learn how to store your blessings for the days when it wont rain.
Question: Are you catching the rain of Gods blessingsor are you just letting the blessings fall to the ground?

How Will God Bless Us?

Heres a bigger question: How will God do this? How will He open the Storehouse of Blessing to us? How will He rain
His blessings on us? God tells us how. People miss this point. People get excited that God will bless them, that theres this
bodega open to them, that theres this rain of blessing, but they dont know how to get the blessing. Thats why they go
out and buy lotto tickets. Thats why they also get into Quick-Rich Scams.
But the Bible clearly says that God will bless the work of our hands. I need to shout this from the housetops: The
main way God will bless you is through your work. Thats why its important to do the right work.

3. God Will Bring You to a Point

When You Wont Have to Borrow

This Bible verse says that youll lend but not borrow.
In my mind, lending is another word for investing.
But let me focus on the last part of that statement: God says that one of His blessings is that you wont borrow.
Question: Why are you not lending and why are you still borrowing? One Bible translation says, You wont need to
borrow.
Perhaps now, you still need to borrow. But God wants to bring you to a point when you know how to collect those
blessings, you wont need to borrow. Youll have more than enough for your needs and to share to others needs.
Perhaps some of you are asking, Bo, I borrow only for business. Thats totally different, right?
Answer: Yes, it is, because your profits will pay for the debt. But be very careful that it isnt aggressive borrowing.
When I teach entrepreneurs, I tell them to try to build their business without borrowing. If they have to borrow, borrow
small rather than big. Because a business debt is still a debt, and you dont want to have the emotional burden of having
a debt.
I pray that youll have a debt-free life.
