ALABAMA PROPERTY
As we begin the month of October, the plumbers are install-
ing the fixtures and turning on the water, the electricians
are connecting the power, and we are
ready to put in the stall doors. After
puttting finishing touches here and
there, the pavilion will be ready for
use. Then, as soon as we set the ex-
terior light poles
and lights for the
entrance, parking area, and road, we
will be ready for our first movie night
on the property, hopefully, by the end
of this
month.
Again, a special thanks goes
out to all of you who have
helped us get to this point
(two are pictured here). We
trust your labor will not be in vain but rather result in many
people coming to faith in Christ on this property.
ALLEN NYE
Hurricane Irma came right on the heels of Hurricane Harvey
and caused everyone in Florida to consider evacuating. We
learned from Harvey that evacuation had to be done early
and would cause gas shortages and clogged highways.
Schools and churches were closed days ahead of the storm
and everyone knew that there would be a loss of power for
days if not weeks.
We decided to stay and avoid being caught with no gas or a
place to stay. Our power went out on Sunday evening in the
midst of the storm and did not turn back on for a week. A
week without power affected us in ways we did not expect.
It meant no air conditioning, no hot water, no refrigeration,
and no connectivity to the internet. We had grown used to
using our debit card and going to the grocery store, library,
and any number of places we go to every day.
A week without power caused us to consider how much
we depend on that invisible force that enables us to get
things done and avoid hardships we are not used to. We
were also awakened to the concept how much we need
the power of the Holy Spirit to effectively serve the Living
God and to point others to Him! Please pray that we will
avoid having a form of godliness but denying the power
thereof!
After the storm was past and even before many had power
restored to our homes, our Home Church gathered togeth-
er and shared testimonies of how God brought us through
the storm. How good it was to encourage and be encour-
aged! How good it was to help our neighbors and renew
friendships with those who live near us! God can bring us
through many storms in our lives but we need to rely on
His power and grace to sustain us! We are grateful for all
the tools we have to share the gospel but realize that they
are useless without His Power!
The fabrication of the screen trailer is well underway. It is
being custom built from the ground
up to incorporate proper locations
for the screen and hardware, the
generator, and misc. other things
needed. The picture of the frame is
the actual trailer under construction.
The other picture is another finished screen/trailer from
the internet to provide a similar
completed image. Approximately
$3500 is still needed to complete
this project and get this new Unit
into operation.
International Reports
HAITI
We are working with a lady in another mission who is help-
ing us to apply to the
U.S. government
for permission (as a
non-profit, charita-
ble organization) to
send items to Haiti
on military flights, without charge. If we are accepted, we
would be able to purchase a late model van here, outfit it
here, and send it over without any shipping charges. This
could reduce our cost of buying a new van there, ship-
ping a screen, etc., by about
$10,000. Even if the Lord
works this out for us, we still
need about $25,000 more
than the $4500 we have now.
Please pray for the Lords will
in this and for many more
gifts to come in for this vital
ministry.
I will be traveling back to Haiti
the end of October to visit
with our Partners to evaluate, encourage, plan, and pray
for the Lords direction and provision. The need in Haiti is
so great and I believe this film ministry can be used to lead
thousands to Christ there.

JIM2ROMANIA

Coming home earlier this year. I left Romania Sep-
tember 28. I promised my sister I would help her
move our 94 year old father from Allen Park, Michi-
gan to her city of Adrian, Michigan.
God was good to us this year, as He always is! We had great summer ministry in 31 villages, 11 of them brand new! We made
many new friends as the Gospel was faithfully proclaimed every evening! Personally, the Lord used me to help 6 teenage boys
follow Jesus with their lives. We were in a city called Anina this last weekend to show the teens at a Baptist church two Christian
films. The photo was taken at a pizza place after.
Major project while home is to raise $700 a month to fund our summer ministry and everything else we do. Please ask the Lord
for funds to come in. God Bless!
General Fund
These busy summer months have taken their toll on the general
fund with each month ending in the red ($500-$700). Since
there is a significant fluctuation of funds coming in/out during a
month, we are able to rob Peter to pay Paul temporarily with-
out causing disruption to the expense needs. As you can see,
this can easily become a major problem if not addressed. We
try very hard to utilize funds carefully and responsibly. Since the

Some special or extra gifts this quarter are greatly needed
and will help us finish the year in the black, but obviously,
more donors and increases in monthly giving will be necessary
as we enter a new year. Please pray and consider this as we

Newer Van/Truck Needed
In the last FOCUS I mentioned that we need a newer Van/
Truck to replace one of our old Mobile Units here in the
U.S. A couple of special gifts have come in and Im ex-
cited for the immediate response. However, we still need
at least $10-15,000 more or a donation of a late model
vehicle that can help meet this need. Please pray with us
about this.

While this FOCUS shares many needs in ministry, our
faith is not shaken, for as the needs are many and vary,
so are Gods ways of meeting them. He has unlimited
resources, He is generous and loves to give. He blesses
givers as well as those who receive, and he has many
ways to accomplish His giving.
