2. Everyone else choose 12 same coloured

counters per person (different from your
neighbour).

3. Place your counters under the numbers

listed. (You can place them all under one
number, or spread them out however you
like.)

4. The dice-roller will roll a pair of dice, and

then call out the sum of the two numbers
rolled.

they call out, take it off the piece of paper
and place it next to you on the desk.

wins!

(dependant on the number in the group)

2. Sit in a circle next to your partner.

3. Each person has a number from 0-5 that

represents the horse on the page.

4. Students take it in turns rolling the dice and then

subtract the 2 numbers on the dice. (For example:
if the dice read 6 and 2 than the answer is 4 so
horse number 4 moves forward 1 place)

5. The horse who gets to the end first wins.

6. Play 10 games and keep score of the winner on

the mini-whiteboard (as below)

Horse #1 Horse #2 Horse #3 Horse #4 Horse #5

before returning to your desks.
SKUNK
- Each member needs a SKUNK sheet and a whiteboard
marker.

Rules to play:

1. There are 5 rounds in the game. One round corresponds with

each letter of the word SKUNK. Each round contains 3 rolls.
2. Students start the game standing up.
3. The students have a choice before each roll whether to remain
standing or whether to sit down.
4. If they are standing when a roll is made that does not contain a
1 in it, they get to record those points on their score sheet
under the correct column for each round.
5. If they decide to sit down at any time during the round they
simply total up their points from that round and wait for the
round to be completed.
6. If they are ever standing when a 1 is rolled they lose ALL of
their points for that round.
7. If they are ever standing when double 1s (snake eyes) are rolled
then they lose ALL of their points from ALL ROUNDS THAT
HAVE BEEN PLAYED TO THAT POINT.
8. Once students sit down they cannot get up again until the next
round.
9. The object of the game is to get the highest score possible
