P00140 INTEGRATED ENGINEERING PERFORMANCE

PROGRAM
Version 61.03 May 10, 2005
Revisions made to the program:
Fixed a problem with the UP spray using the %spray from the last
load for all loads
Backed out the calculations to handle two platen banks when
generating a P08722 input deck

Version 61.02 December 14, 2004

Revisions made to the program:
For the cavity fuel factor, FF, added default behavior when the input
parameters exceed the limits of the figure. The program will use the
value of the boundary point in the correlation when the input
parameter exceeds the boundary condition and issue a warning to the
user.
Restored the logic to print the summary for the lower 10 feet to skip
all platen banks but the first bank

Version 61.01 December 1, 2004

Revisions made to the program:
Corrected the array dimension size for several arrays to handle the
previous increase in the number of rows permitted to eliminate
problems with the thickness calculations not reporting a thickness or
reporting an abnormally high thickness.
Eliminated the 1-FA calculation for platen banks to shorten the
execution time for metal calculations.
Moved the calculation of the gas free flow area for helical fin
economizer so the calculation is performed for all input conditions.

Version 61.00 October 25, 2004

Revisions made to the program:
Revised the program to print the allowable stresses whenever the user
has supplied their own materials or allowable stresses.
Removed the restriction of not being able to retrieve allowable
stresses from the Material Properties database prior to July, 1977.
The program will attempt to retrieve the needed material properties
for the specified contract date. If properties are not available for
the specified contract date an error message will be printed for each
material that failed in retrieving properties.
Corrected the procedure to calculate the heat extraction from an
economizer to handle the use of a sweet water condenser from the same
location as the heat extraction.
Modified the logic that looks at a gap in pressure to indicate a
sweet water condenser is present to look for a gap that exceeds 1 psi
for all loads.
Corrected the heat extraction from a single cavity and/or single
economizer bank to initialize to zero before reading each set of load
cards. Previous version would carry the value set on a 1-33 card
between loads if another 1-33 card was not used.
For UP boilers, added a default of 4% spray when spray locations have
been specified but a value for % spray has not been supplied.
Moved the calculation of the gas free area from the draft loss
calculation for helical fins to eliminate the warning message about a
mismatch between the supplied gas free flow area and the calculated
gas free flow area. The draft loss calculations will use the
calculated gas free area unless the user supplies a gas free flow
area.
Removed the restriction on the use of SA192. The program keys off
the SA192 TOXL limit and will permit its use when the TOXL limits
ends in a 9.
Modified the program to calculate the 1-FA factor for non-standard
spacings.
Increased the number of rows per component from 200 to 450.
Modified the program to converge on economizer exit gas temperature
for all KF study options.
Modified the program to initialize the specific heat and heat content
coefficients prior to each load to permit the user to mix loads for
special gases with standard gases.
Modified the calculation of the coefficients for specific heat for an
abnormal gas to use the weight fractions of the moist gas instead of
the dry gas.
Corrected problems with data analysis runs (KF and A/E) on units with
a SH Division Wall. The problems included not calculating QFURN for
a KF run resulting in an incorrect total output and the inclusion of
printing out the absorption and outlet enthalpy, temperature and
pressure of the SH division wall.
Corrected the weight average propertied of all steam paths to include
steam paths whose last bank was a dummy bank. Previously the program
would not include these steam paths in the calculations.
Fixed the problem of the number 4 load card being interpreted as a
number 1-44, 1-45, or a 1-46 card when the % ash in flue gas field
had a 44, 45, or 46 were in cc 71-72.
Revised program to handle two platen banks when generating a P08722
file.
Added a bank summary table to the Genesis database.
Modified the program to print the row by row absorptions for the
lower ten feet to the drop file for P08722.
Modified the P08722 file users allowable stress cards to use the
supplied allowable stresses for the P140 run.
Distribution and access to the user guide is through the controller
used to execute the program. User notification of a program release
will also be handled through the controller.

Version 60.02 March 11, 2002

Revisions made to the program:
Corrected the calculation of flow to each bank when multiple stage UP
spray is being used.
Modified the program to use the new JANAF DLL for gas properties.
Added the option to use the ASME 97 steam tables
Corrected the enthalpy reported as ECO TOT OUT when there is
extraction from the economizer and added the temperature for
the enthalpy and pressure displayed.
