DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to the All-Wise God, who visits

this world through the men that He sends. May they
all rise up at this critical hour in the life of Christ's
Church. May the 7000 who have not bowed their
knees to Baal AWAKE AND ARISE to prepare the
way for the coming of our King. Jesus is coming
soon and the voice of one crying in this wilderness
must be heard again. Maranatha!

Matthew 23:39
For I say unto you, ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall
say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which
is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver,
precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work
shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it
shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's
work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he
hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any
man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he
himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
INTRODUCTION
Matthew 23:39
For I say unto you, ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall
say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which
is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this
foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall
declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall
try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work
abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but
he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

It is deadly and dangerous for men who have not

sought God as they ought - nor know Him as they
claim - to speak authoritatively on behalf of the
Lord.

With so little time spent seeking God, many boldly

and insolently proclaim, "Thus SAITH the Lord".

We must be careful not to use God as an

endorsement for our own imaginations and
ambitions. We must not dare mislead another, hiding
behind the false cloak of speaking and prophesying
on God’s behalf.

Luke 6:26
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so
did their fathers to the false prophets.

Ironically, spirituality and religiosity can be the last

hiding place where "self" operates almost
undetected.

God is being trivialized by many very empty men

and women who are here to scratch itchy ears, yet
we endorse them and celebrate them. Is His Word
no longer a hammer and fire?

Jeremiah 23:29
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a
hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Jokers and motivational speakers now stand as lords

on the pulpits in Christ's churches. "Go ahead and
have your day in the stars, you who toy with the
eternal destinies of men in the Lord’s name. But be
informed that the day of everlasting reckoning shall
surely come upon thee".

Ezekiel 34:10
Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the
shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and
cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the
shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock
from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

True God seekers are being robbed of the

significance of eternity by shallow Christianity,
promoted through men and women who have
turned a holy calling into a career and profession for
their preservation and often their greed.
2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as
there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring
in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them,
and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many
shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way
of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness
shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose
judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their
damnation slumbereth not.

Beware of the revolution of Christian humanism; it

is an enemy of the cross and so are they who
promote it in the name of the Lord. The gospel of
Christ is not after man - it is NOT sent to feed
man’s ego but to satisfy God’s pleasure.

Galatians 1:11-12
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached
of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man,
neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:15
And that he died for all, that they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for
them, and rose again.

Play acting, charades, manipulation, insincerity,

dishonesty and covetousness must be chased away if
this generation will be saved. What a huge letdown it
is to the Lord when He sees how lightly we have
taken the high price His Son paid to justify, sanctify
and glorify us. To undermine and undervalue God’s
greatest investment and sacrifice is by far more
heartbreaking than when others devalue the precious
seeds we sow into their lives. May we, therefore, not
drive God’s great investment - of Christ - into the
ground. May we not be lackadaisical about the
HIGH PRICE the Lord has paid for us and others
to be reconciled and sanctified as a bride He will be
in union with forever.

May our zeal and faithfulness to the Lord bring joy

and not lamentation to heaven - because a lot is at
stake!

Jeremiah 23:16-32
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of
the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they
speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of
the Lord. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The
Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every
one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No
evil shall come upon you. 18 For who hath stood in the
counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word?
who hath marked his word, and heard it? 19 Behold, a
whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous
whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have
executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart:
in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. 21 I have not
sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them,
yet they prophesied. 22 But if they had stood in my counsel,
and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should
have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their
doings. 23 Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a
God afar off? 24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I
shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and
earth? saith the Lord. 25 I have heard what the prophets
said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I
have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the
prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit
of their own heart; 27 Which think to cause my people to
forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to
his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for
Baal. 28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a
dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word
faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. 29
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a
hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore,
behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal
my words every one from his neighbour. 31 Behold, I am
against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues,
and say, He saith. 32 Behold, I am against them that
prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and
cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I
sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not
profit this people at all, saith the Lord.

Jeremiah 14:13-16
Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto
them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine;
but I will give you assured peace in this place. 14 Then the
Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I
sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake
unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and
divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
15 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that
prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword
and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine
shall those prophets be consumed. 16 And the people to whom
they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem
because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none
to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their
daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Ephesians 4:11-15
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the
perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of
Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to
and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait
to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up
into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ...

OPEN OUR EYES, LORD - For the things of the

Spirit can only be discerned spiritually. Laodicea was
a rich church, but they were blind, poor, wretched
miserable and naked. It would take "open eyes" to
clearly discern their woeful condition.

Take a prayerful study on the five woeful

qualifications that the Lord mentioned about
Laodicea, and it might catapult you into a deeper
dimension of seeing the emptiness and blindness
around. For now, let's take a brief look at the
BLIND quality of Laodicea.

Revelation 3:14-17
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that
thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor
hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest,
I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;
and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and
poor, and blind, and naked.

Jesus said, "...though they had a lot of money and all

that glitters, they were blind..." This implies that they
read or heard the same scriptures as others (like the
Ephesians), but could not see truth. Somehow the
"truth" that they were used to produced a faith for
health and material things, but it kept them lost to
eternal and heavenly realities.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh
for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are
temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

They lacked little or nothing on earth but they were

spiritually bankrupt.

Psalms 106:14-15
But (they) lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted
God in the desert. 15 And he gave them their request; but
sent leanness into their soul.

Since faith comes by hearing, it doesn't take a genius

to appreciate the kind of messages that were
prevalent in Laodicea - messages which produced
this kind of decayed spiritual fruit. It was clearly
what the messenger or preacher in Laodicea put in
that he got out. We cannot give what we have not
received. We must pay a price to get the pure gold of
Christ, if not we cannot give out the true life of God,
nor obtain divine results in this life and in eternity.
The consequences can be dire.

Jeremiah 2:21
Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how
then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine
unto me?

1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in
them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them
that hear thee.

Always pray for the opening of your eyes, because

the scriptures are hidden for a great host in these
times. I say this with all purity of heart and
compassion, not intending to insult anyone. It is true
- the church of our times is mainly blind like
Laodicea and like the era of Eli. Many who have not
sought God as they ought, nor know Him as they
claim, are speaking authoritatively on behalf of The
Lord - boldly, intelligently and insolently
proclaiming, "Thus SAITH the Lord".

Ephesians 1:18
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may
know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of
the glory of his inheritance in the saints..
Colossians 1:9
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it (your
salvation), do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye
might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom
and spiritual understanding.

I advise every sincere believer to pray regularly with

fasting, according to Ephesians 1: 17-21 and
Colossians 1: 9-13 . Do not buy into everything that
has been circulating - even doctrines that have
become accepted before you came into this world.
Every true believer must be like the Christians of
Berea. In fact, the divine solution or remedy Christ
gave Laodicea was exactly this:

Revelation 3:18
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou
mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be
clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear;
and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Acts 17:10-11
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by
night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue
of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in
Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness
of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things
were so.

This has been one of my main prayer points--and

most rewarding, too--which I've undertaken for
more than five years now. After I had prayed for the
opening of my eyes, within the first two years, my
vision changed by almost 180 degrees. I began to see
things in scripture which I had never seen in almost
20 years as a believer in Christ. With trepidation, I
instructed our media folks to withdraw almost every
recorded message I had preached and even my
highly esteemed book on faith from circulation. I
withdrew my involvement with the various world-
renowned Faith and Prosperity movements which I
had embraced passionately. I apologized to our
brethren for every deception I shared in ignorance. I
started a series of prayers asking the Lord to connect
me with true voices of His - indeed, those who "sell
pure gold and oil". Ever since then, the Lord has
connected me with a few relatively unknown but
true messengers of His. Honestly, they are very few
and far between left around in these times. May God
lead you to the true servants of Christ.

Matthew 25:8-9
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our
lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so;
lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to
them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Matthew 23:34-38
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men,
and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and
some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute
them from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the
righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias,
whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I
say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets,
and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I
have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her
chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your
house is left unto you desolate.

I used to cry almost every night for the salvation of

my generation - especially this Sardis and Laodicean
church age. I've done this for a protracted season
because the burden is irresistible. I cry especially for
the sincere ministers who have downloaded false
gospels from blind mentors. I truly hope that the
Spirit of God will lead us all to lay hold of true life
operating systems, from where we can upload the
pure knowledge of God.

Jude 1:3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you,
and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith
which was once delivered unto the saints.

In my recent revival meetings, I was overjoyed to see

quite a number of senior ministers make the same
180 degree turn, after hearing these messages. One
dear elderly brother, who has many parishes under
his care, wept and wept. He shared about the
revolution that has begun in his life and ministry. He
is going back to his first love and first works.
Another said to me, "At almost 60 years, I rarely cry,
but I haven't stopped crying since I came for these
meetings." He is now taking the gauntlet with us, to
coordinate revival in a huge city. Another lady
minister who drove for many hours to be at one of
our meetings squeezed my hands in tears and said,
"This is the best thing that has happened to my walk
with Christ." An 80 year old woman who attended a
meeting in one of our U.S outreaches profusely
thanked her children for bringing her to see and
experience the messages. She said she saw heaven
during the meetings and pleaded with her children
and grandchildren to embrace these heavenly truths.
Unknown to them, that was to be her very last
service, because a few days later, she went home to
be with the Lord. A young man battling a rare
disease, who reluctantly came hear these truths, said,
"I've been to most of the faith healers around, even
pursued hard after their prayers, but now I've found
peace and a true reason to live for Christ and die
gloriously serving Him, if He permits it." A church
leader wrote this: "More than ever before, this
message has authenticated my purpose and journey
through earth."

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him
in spirit and in truth.

God’s truth is marching on. God’s train of revival is

moving. Seek Him.

Please take up this challenge and pray for an

extended period of six months, and even much
more. Pray that God will open your eyes to see what
Laodicea could not see and hear what Sardis could
not hear. We need to be humble about this. A lot
more than we may know about is at stake.

Revelation 3:1-5
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things
saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven
stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou
livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things
which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy
works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou
hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore
thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou
shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast
a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their
garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are
worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in
white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and
before his angels.

Revelation 3:14-17
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;
17 Because thou sayest,
I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;
and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and
poor, and blind, and naked.
CHAPTER ONE
BEWARE OF ANOTHER GOSPEL

THERE IS ONLY ONE DOCTRINE OF

CHRIST - BUT THERE ARE MANY
DOCTRINES OF DEVILS DISGUISED AS THE
DOCTRINE OF CHRIST - DIABOLICALLY
AIMED AT LEADING MANY TO PERDITION.
These counterfeit messages are subtly leading many
into destruction, just as the serpent did to Eve and
Adam in the Garden of Eden. Please take this
warning more seriously than Eve and Adam did.
Satan is crafty and sophisticated in deceit. He is
responsible for fabricating complex spiritual books,
which all the false religions and occultists of the
world revere. We are warned in scripture that he
subtly adulterates the scriptures in the most
imperceptible ways. Like with Eve, only a very few
may find and live in the truth of God’s will. May you
be one of these few. But to be one, you must beware
of the false angel disguised as a minister of light!

2 John 1:9-11
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of
Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come
any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into
your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that
biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Ephesians 4:14-15
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers
also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose
end shall be according to their works.

Clearly, there are many Gospels out there, but only

one true Gospel carries the approval of God –
BEWARE! Christians must be vigilant to preserve
the true Gospel that Jesus brought, as this is the only
Gospel that can save. Loss of the Gospel of Christ
in any generation will spell eternal disaster for that
era. In his time, Apostle Paul confronted Peter and
other Jews who were hypocritical about promoting
the Gospel truth. He knew that a little fundamental
deviation could have serious consequences in the
long run.

2 Corinthians 11:2-4
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have
espoused you to one husband that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds
should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For
if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not
preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not
received, or another Gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye
might well bear with him.
1 John 4:6
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is
not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of
truth, and the spirit of error.

Beware of the same old satanic tricks used in the

Garden of Eden. At that time, it was subtly
promoted by a serpent, but today this poison is
dissolved in enticing messages carried by ignorant or
wicked men. Jesus and all the Apostles spent quality
time and effort to warn Christians of false prophets,
teachers and brethren, many of whom, like Eve, may
be sincerely but ignorantly deceived.

Revelation 2:2
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how
thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried
them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found
them liars.

Acts 17:10-11
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by
night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue
of the Jews. These were nobler than those in Thessalonica, in
that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and
searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Galatians 1:6-9
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto another Gospel: Which is not
another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert
the Gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have
preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so
say I now again, If any man preach any other Gospel unto you
than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

It is important that you realize that just two percent

potent poison will kill, even though the remaining
ninety-eight percent seems pure. Any message which
gives you an assurance of eternal security - no matter
how you live - is a subtle and extremely deadly
poison. Though every other thing may seem right,
this little poison will lead many to promiscuity, as
clearly seen in Nicolaitan-styled contemporary
churches. Be aware that the serpent agreed with Eve
on every other thing that God instructed. His main
objective was to give her a false assurance of eternal
safety in disobedience. Beware of doctrines which
subtly turn you into a mammon chaser, without you
even knowing it; thereby, deceiving you to pursue
after a prosperity you already have in Christ. This
was Satan's ploy also in the Garden. He told them,
"...you will be like gods..". If they were discerning,
they should have known that they were already made
in the likeness of "God", not needing to be lesser
"gods". The devil sold them a lesser glory, and made
this lesser "godlikeness" look like the real prosperity.
We are to pursue the greater glory, for therein is
contained the lesser glories.

We cannot covet money and God together. It is

idolatry. Many are pursuing mammon today, all in
the name of prosperity. Beware of doctrines
patterned after man - "YE SHALL BE...YE SHALL
HAVE...YE SHALL KNOW…" Any doctrine that
focuses on you and on making you great and as
"gods" is no gospel at all. The gospel of Christ is
NOT about you; it's about Christ and His reign in
men and through men. He cannot reign through us
until He reigns in us. Adam and Eve failed to allow
God to reign in them, so they were chased out of
paradise and God could not reign through them.
Flee from the leaven of legalism. In the Garden of
Eden, Eve bought into a false understanding that
God said, "Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye
touch it, lest ye die."

On the surface, this sounds like the pure message

which God gave to Adam, but it was not. The
cunning serpent had introduced an extra rule into
her thoughts, one which God did not give: "neither
shall ye touch it". Nowhere did God say so,
therefore if Adam had already touched the tree -
even accidentally - he may have felt guilty and
decided to just go all the way and eat. Legalism
introduces rules, particularly using Old Testament
legislation given by Moses to the natural Israel. They
do not see that the Old Testament was merely a
school master preparing the heir and the shadow of
a substance, which is Christ. "Touch not, taste not,
handle not, wear not, use not…" They would rather
listen to lying angels who transform themselves into
light - demonic angels disguised to deceive (spirits
that they did not test using scriptural parameters) -
than to hear the true Light of God, who is the Word
made flesh: Jesus the man who came from God to
show us how to live (John 1: 1-4, 14).

Genesis 3:2-6
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit
of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in
the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it,
neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. AND THE
SERPENT SAID UNTO THE WOMAN, YE
SHALL NOT SURELY DIE: For God doth know that
in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and
YE SHALL BE AS gods, knowing good and evil. And
when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that
it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make
one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave
also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Colossians 2:16-23 (AMP)

Therefore let no one sit in judgment on you in matters of food
and drink, or with regard to a feast day or a New Moon or a
Sabbath. Such [things] are only the shadow of things that are
to come, and they have only a symbolic value. But the reality
(the substance, the solid fact of what is foreshadowed, the body
of it) belongs to Christ. Let no one defraud you by acting as
an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you
for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of
angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen,
vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his
unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit, And not holding fast
to the Head, from Whom the entire body, supplied and knit
together by means of its joints and ligaments, grows with a
growth that is from God. If then you have died with Christ to
material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the
world’s crude and elemental notions and teachings of
externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world?
[Why do you submit to rules and regulations?--such as] Do
not handle [this], Do not taste [that], Do not even touch
[them], Referring to things all of which perish with being used.
To do this is to follow human precepts and doctrines. Such
[practices] have indeed the outward appearance [that popularly
passes] for wisdom, in promoting self-imposed rigor of devotion
and delight in self-humiliation and severity of discipline of the
body, but they are of no value in checking the indulgence of the
flesh (the lower nature). [Instead, they do not honor God but
serve only to indulge the flesh.]

Doctrine is the bedrock of Faith and to buy into the

wrong message, which is a counterfeit of Christ's
Gospel, can place people at risk of eternal jeopardy.
The very first question that God ever asked man
after they sinned in the garden was "Adam, where
are you?" It was a question about relationship: our
position with God. God was saying, "You're not at
the place of our fellowship anymore." The second
was "Adam, who told you?" It was a question about
doctrine. The Lord was saying, "Where did you get
this defiled knowledge from? Who deceived you -
giving you a false and perditious knowledge of Me?”
These are the two paramount questions that every
human being must resolve before leaving earth. First
is our relationship and fellowship with God; this is
only sorted out by submitting to the Lordship of
Jesus Christ. It is the entry point to God. Second is
our doctrine of God; this is the place where God’s
people are built or destroyed. This place is only
discovered by a fervent, prayerful and deliberate
contention for the doctrine of Christ. We are warned
to EARNESTLY CONTEND for the “original”
Christian faith which Jesus Christ passed down to
His true Church.

Jude 1:3-4
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you,
and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith
which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain
men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this
condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into
lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in
them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them
that hear thee.

Matthew 23:13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut
up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in
yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Romans 16:17-19
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions
and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned;
and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord
Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair
speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience
is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your
behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good,
and simple concerning evil.

1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing
spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Romans 6:17
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye
have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you.

1 Timothy 6:1-6
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own
masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his
doctrine be not blasphemed...
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the
doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud,
knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of
words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of
the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw
thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Hebrews 6:1 (AMP)

THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary
stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah),
advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that
belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the
foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works
(dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to
God.

Galatians 1:6-9
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not
another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert
the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said
before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel
unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

2 Corinthians 11:2-4
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have
espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds
should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have
not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not
received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye
might well bear with him.
CHAPTER TWO

WHAT IS TRUE CHRISTIANITY?

As I rode in my car to join other believers at our
worship service to cross into the New Year, I
marveled at the kinds of testimonies and prophecies
that were celebrated over the airwaves. They
generally reflected the mood of today's kind of
Church. For one man it was, "...Glory to God...this
year, I made so much money, I bought this and that,
I did this...oh, God is so, so good...and next year, the
Lord shall even multiply my greatness." This seems
to be the general mindset of those who profess
godliness in these times and climes. However, is this
the primary essence of what Jesus died to
accomplish? Are material benefits really the true
blessings of Christ? God has promised to meet our
needs, no doubt; however, the highest prerogative of
a true follower of Christ is not the celebration of
money and material things, but the celebration of
true spiritual and eternal benefits.

One day, when the Church is truly awake and

revived, the major celebrations shall be somewhat
like this: "I thank God because I have grown in
meekness, compassion, holiness, integrity...I faced a
temptation to make huge amounts of money
fraudulently, even at a time of dire financial low, but
the grace of God helped me. Like Joseph in the
Bible, I successfully resisted these temptations of
Potiphar's wife... Today, God has given me the
victory overcome sins that used to easily beset me...I
no longer have the urge to fornicate or engage in
homosexuality or pornography... I am being
strengthened by the Holy Spirit to do more things
which please God...I now see the sufferings of
people around me and I am so deeply drawn to
help...I wake up burdened for lost souls, and God
gives me grace to spend nights in intercession... I
now spend my days witnessing to people about
Christ's salvation...I find myself more content with
the little or much that I have and have no desire to
seek people's acclaim...I now delight in esteeming
others above myself...God is helping me love others
with sincerity and without hypocrisy." This is the
true overcoming or breakthrough of the New
Testament. It is not the materialistic and egocentric
celebrations of Gentiles.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.

The true church of Christ is generally and presently

deformed. We must be reformed and transformed; if
not, our role in society will not be performed and
our place in eternity will be lost. Today, many
professing Christians talk about transforming our
societies and nations, but how can a spiritually sick
and deformed entity affect any meaningful divine
change? In every sphere of society, professing
Christians abound, but to little or no tangible divine
effect. More often than not, the church has become
the salt which has lost its savor. From politicians to
bankers and even pastors, the true life of Christ is
missing. Lies, hypocrisy, greed, avarice, materialism,
and pride are some of the vices which still ooze from
those who ought to be the salt. How can decayed
salt preserve?

Empty talk noised about by professing Christians on

transforming our societies is the sway of our day.
How can one give what they don't have? How can
they give what they don't even know about, or what
is not even reflected in their own personal lives?
They talk everywhere about establishing God’s
kingdom on earth. But can dirty water wash a dirty
person clean? Should we not seek to be truly
cleansed before we go out to clean another person?
Many of our ministers today would make Plato,
Socrates and Karl Marx jealous, because they are
well versed in the wisdom of economics, sociology,
marketing and psychology. They cannot produce real
divine change anywhere, because they know not the
Christ of God, neither do they live Him or preach
Him. The solutions they offer are simply man’s
wisdom camouflaged in adulterated Bible garb. What
solution, therefore, can we bring which is different
from man’s wisdom - if not Christ? Again I reiterate,
if God’s kingdom and rule are not reigning in a man,
then God cannot reign through him. There cannot
be divine transformation of any society if there is no
transformation of God’s appointed agents into
Christlikeness. THE ONLY WAY DIVINE
TRANSFORMATION CAN OCCUR IN MEN IS
BY DEAD MEN LIVING CHRIST - men who
understand, who live and lift up the pattern of
Christ's death and resurrection.

John 12:32-33
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto
me. 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

1 Corinthians 2:1-7
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency
of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of
God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you,
save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in
weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my
speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in
the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect
(spiritually discerning or mature): yet not the wisdom of this
world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the
hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our
glory.

Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and
the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto
his death.

1 Corinthians 11:26
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do
shew the Lord's death till he come.
God’s solution for all of man’s needs - whether they be societal
or individual - is simply Christ. This is God’s blessing and
His answer to every issue of man. In Christ dwells the glory,
wisdom and power of God. I am not just talking about asking
Jesus to come into our hearts, I am talking about what ALL
the true Apostles taught - that Christ be formed in us. Since
Christ is God’s solution through men, if His life is not first
magnified in His vessels, how can He be magnified in our
societies? How then can God’s glory, wisdom and power shine
forth?

Colossians 1:25-29
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation
of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from
generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To
whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory
of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the
hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and
teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every
man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour,
striving according to his working, which worketh in me
mightily.

2 Corinthians 4:5-7
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus 'sake. 6 For God, who
commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in
our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until
Christ be formed in you.

Philippians 1:20-21
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in
nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as
always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is
Christ, and to die is gain.

The secret of any divine reformation or

transformation is the formation of Jesus Christ in
people. He is the foolishness of God who makes the
intelligently blind to fall face flat, like that evil
national deity of the Philistines, Dagon, who is
represented as a fish-tailed man. The wisdom of man
like is a "Dagon" before the ark of the living God -
the true image of God - who is Christ. It is only a
blind church generation that celebrates being guided
by false wisdom which emanated from the dark
waters, leading men astray.

1 Samuel 5:2-4
When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into
the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow,
behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the
ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his
place again. 4 And when they arose early on the morrow
morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground
before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both
the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the
stump of Dagon was left to him.

Jesus Christ is the brightness of God’s glory. He is

the full expression of God in a man, who today lives
in men. Wherever He is truly magnified, the real
volume of God is amplified to its maximum pitch,
and the life and power of God is gloriously dignified.
He is the word and will of God, who became a man
and dwelt amongst men. Anyone looking for God
and His Will must now study and learn this man
who encapsulated all of God: God’s Will, God’s
Power, God’s Love, God’s Life and God’s Wisdom.
Knowing Christ the Son of God, living Christ the
Life of God and Preaching Christ the Wisdom of
God is the message of hope and liberty for all the
world.

Too many ministers of our time are blinded from

this simple truth and have embraced solutions
patterned after man’s wisdom. They fail to
understand that the foolishness of a rod was God’s
tool of deliverance from a sinister and gripping
bondage of another era. Today, Christ is that rod of
deliverance by which every problem and bondage of
mankind is resolved. He is the key to our eternity.
He is the image to whom we must all look, gaze at
and live in this life and in that which is forever. Are
we learning, living and preaching Christ?

John 3:14-16
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so
must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.

John 1:4
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

In the following chapters of this book, let us begin

to try and see what God offered to the world and to
Christ's bride (the Church) as the true blessings of
the new covenant and also understand the mindset
and attitudes that true Christians ought to embrace.
Some of these Truths - as simple as Jesus taught
them - may rock the boats of many, yet fan the
flames of others. But be that as it may, let God’s
word be spoken, for those with ears to hear. Many
while reading Christian literature, read the
interpretations made by men (such as I), without
weighing them heavily against scriptures presented
and without prayerful research of the Bible.

This book is the first of three volumes and is

thoroughly laden with ample scriptural witnesses to
validate every claim made. Endeavor to read, re-read
and meditate on every scripture which is shared in
this book. This is the best way to receive impartation
from the Spirit and life of God and test the validity
of every claim herein. It is my humble hope that this
little material will be used as a divine weapon for the
preservation of God’s people from the grave danger
of error.

The true church of Christ is being prepared as heirs

for the eternal reign of God’s everlasting kingdom in
a righteous and eternal heaven and earth. In the
interim, we are to be agents of God who offer Christ
to our world. This is achieved by learning, living and
preaching the life that Christ lived, died and
resurrected, and thus transforming people and
society.

1 Corinthians 1:17-25
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:
not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be
made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are (being) saved it is the power
of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the
wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the
prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the
disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom
of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the
world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the
Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling
block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them
which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of
God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of
God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger
than men.
CHAPTER THREE
WHAT DOES GOD WANT FROM
HIS PEOPLE?
Two of the clearest revelations of what God expects
from His true followers or what God receives as true
worship, are found in Romans 12: 1-2 and 1
Thessalonians 4: 1-8.

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not
conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-4, 7-8

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye
should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you
should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and
honor...For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto
holiness. 8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but
God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

Worship is about offering sacrifices to God. Child of

God, you are called to worship the Lord, just as Abel
and Cain were. It is important that you discover
exactly how God wants you to serve Him; if not, like
Cain, you may be cruising toward a rude shock in
eternity.
1 Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by
Jesus Christ.

The primary sacrifices that God requires of His true

followers are the offering of our bodies in holiness
to Him and the offering of our minds so as to be
transformed from the mentality of the world to a
mindset where God's will is both discerned and
done. This is the race that sets the "Abels" in the
Church apart from the "Cains". The "Abels" offer to
God what God asks for, but the "Cains" offer to
God what they want or what is convenient for them.

Hebrews 11:4
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than
Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous,
God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet
speaketh.

Hebrews 12:28-29
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let
us have grace, whereby we may serve God ACCEPTABLY
with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming
fire.

Will you be a Cain or an Abel? Will you allow

yourself to be tossed to and fro by every teaching
out there? The richness of your soul depends on
how you worship God. Your saltiness on this earth
and your final estate of everlasting permanence is
tied to the prosperity of your soul. You cannot
afford to be flippant and careless about seeking to
know the truth regarding what God wants from you.
You cannot risk believing a lie. Cain and Esau are
examples of those who toyed with spiritual truths.
Their stories and legacies represent monumental loss
and irreparable eternal failure.

Ephesians 4:14
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Hebrews 12:16-17
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who
for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know
how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing,
he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he
sought it carefully with tears.

We are to have an attitude which is always proving

the will of God. We are to be unspotted from the
world’s way and embrace God’s way of thinking and
of doing things. Being unspotted from the world
means ensuring that we do not allow the flesh or sin
to dominate us. We MUST MORTIFY the flesh, so
that God can have a pleasurable and comfortable
dwelling in our bodies. This is a progressive work of
the Holy Spirit in us, and this is the passion we must
have if we say that we love the Lord. Every believer
who is looking forward to the marriage supper of the
Lamb in eternity, every Christian who desires to see
God and be in heaven forever, MUST be unspotted
by sin and the flesh.
Ephesians 5:25-27
...even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of
water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a
glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish. Please take
time to meditate on the following bible verses which paint a
clear picture of why and how sin and fleshly appetites are just
as horrible spots of filth, on a brides wedding garment.
Christ's bride must be prepared as a chaste bride - one without
spot. Is this your hearts cry?

James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is
this... to keep himself unspotted from the world.

1 Peter 1:18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with
corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But
with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot:

2 Peter 3:13-14
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new
heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be
diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot,
and blameless.

Jude 1:22-23
And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And
others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even
the garment spotted by the flesh.
Revelation 3:4-5
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled
their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they
are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in
white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and
before his angels.

Revelation 19:6-9
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as
the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty
thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent
reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him:
for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made
herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be
arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the
righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are
called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith
unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

2 Corinthians 11:2
"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have
espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ.

Colossians 3:5-6
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which
things 'sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of
disobedience:
Galatians 1:3-4
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our
Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he
might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the
will of God and our Father.

We must pursue divine colonization of our minds -

one which changes our mentality from the worldly
way of thinking and acting to Christ's way of
thinking and acting. This is the true meaning of
being a victor in Christ. This is what overcoming as a
believer truly means. Overcoming the world is
therefore our victory over worldly thinking and
worldly actions. It is the mindset, values and lifestyle
which rhyme with Christ’s. It is the lifestyle of
worship that fervently pursues doing God’s will, just
as Jesus did.

Ephesians 4:23
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this
is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

John 6:38
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but
the will of him that sent me.

John 20:21
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my
Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.

As our hearts eagerly seek to discern what God’s will

is in every situation, we uncover God’s way of
thinking. When we discover what God’s will is or
how God wants us to live every moment of our
lives, then seeking and receiving grace to implement
God’s will becomes our race. This is how we
become a living sacrifice to God. This is the Christ
life: the life of not living as one wills, but as God
wills. Christ lived as a living sacrifice unto God and
we are called into the same lifestyle. Jesus came as
the Word or Will of God in a human body, and if we
desire to do God’s Word or God’s Will, we must
passionately observe and emulate Jesus' life on earth.
This is the core essence of being successful in this
life and the primary reason for prayer.

Colossians 1:9,10
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease
to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the
knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto
all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing
in the knowledge of God.

Though we live, we sacrifice our selfish will and

every fleshly and worldly passion in exchange for
doing what God wants, always. This, dear friends, is
what true worship really means. This is Christ - the
embodiment of God’s will.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one
receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every
man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an
incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight
I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my
body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means,
when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Galatians 5:24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me.

Ephesians 5:17
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will
of the Lord is.

True worship is about offering sacrifices. However,

as with Cain or Abel, we may offer any sacrifice we
want. Whether or not we offer sacrifices to God, it is
only the sacrifices which He requires that will receive
divine acceptance in the time of reckoning. God’s
desire regarding every true child of His is that we
relinquish or sacrifice our selfish way of thinking and
behaving and the world’s way of thinking and doing
things in exchange for His way. This is how we must
live if we truly desire to worship the Lord. This is the
worship that God seeks from all of mankind, and it
can only be found in Jesus Christ. Anything other
than this is the worship of "Cain-nites", which will
ultimately be met by divine rejection. IF WE DO
NOT LEARN AND SEEK TO LIVE
UNSPOTTED BY THE WORLD, WE CANNOT
PLEASE GOD. Just like Cain, we will not offer an
acceptable sacrifice to God.

1 Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, ACCEPTABLE
to God by Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and ACCEPTABLE and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 5:8-11
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit
is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10
PROVING WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE UNTO
THE LORD. 11 And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this
seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every
one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Genesis 4:5-7 (AMP)

But for Cain and his offering He (God) had no respect or
regard. So Cain was exceedingly angry and indignant, and he
looked sad and depressed. And the Lord said to Cain, Why
are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and
dejected? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you
do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you,
but you must master it.
CHAPTER FOUR
WHAT IS CHRISTIANITY
FUNDAMENTALLY ABOUT?
The fundamental part of anything is its core of
central importance or the essential, vital and crucial
nature of the thing, without which the sum of all the
other parts are useless, acutely deformed and
essentially redefined to mean something else.
Understanding the fundamental essence of
Christianity is the key to avoiding the greatest and
most prevalent delusion and spiritual deceit of our
times: buying into one of the false gospels of Christ.
The gravest dangers of this blindness are loss of a
gospel that is capable of producing the eternal
salvation of Jesus Christ, false eternal security and
the risk of everlasting perdition. No single one of us
can afford to miss the heavenly mark, so we must
strive to know what God wants from us, with a view
to joyfully offering it to Him through His available
grace.

Let us, therefore, examine a few fundamentals of

what Christianity is or is not.

True Christianity Is Purely About Learning

Christ

One great error which has led to a grave distraction,

even deception, in the church of these times, is the
wrong preaching of the incarnation of Christ.
John 1:1, 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

This revelation of the incarnation of Christ has been

taught erroneously by many preachers, mainly to
promote material and physical blessings, such as the
principle by which healing or financial provisions are
translated from the promises of God to physical
reality. Whilst in principle this is true, this scripture is
dealing with so much more than these. The real
meaning of this revelation is that God’s Word, which
is God’s Will, God’s Love, God’s Holiness and
God’s Glory, was encapsulated in the body of a man.
Jesus Christ incarnate is the revelation of God’s will.
He carried and expressed everything that men need
to learn and know about God. He was and remains
the living example and role model of the image of
God, which God wants man to be. He is beyond a
principle for healing or financial provision, but a
pattern and depiction of who God is, and what God
expects from man.

Hebrews 1:1-3
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in
time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these
last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed
heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who
being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his
person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right
hand of the Majesty on high.
John 1:1-4,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning
with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him
was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life;
and the life was the light of men...And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Let us get these deep truths:

First, God’s Word became a man and people beheld
Him. This is awesome. God’s Word is a man who
lived. Anyone who will do God’s word has to
understudy Christ the man. Consider this:

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the
mouth of God.

Man is to live by every word from the mouth of

God. Every Word is Jesus Christ the man who
walked the earth, was crucified, died and resurrected
into glory. If we are to live by every word of God,
then we must live Christ, because He is the word of
God.

LEARNING CHRIST is the way to interpret the
will of God. Jesus Christ is man's forerunner for
living life on earth. He is our example of what it
means to serve God acceptably on earth. He did not
only come to pay the penalty for our sins, but also to
show us how to please God with our lives. His life
has become God’s template for man’s lifestyle.
Christ ONLY did the will of the Father in His body
and has now become the author and finisher of our
faith. He is the One to whom we are look as our sole
role model for living, the express image of God or
the mirror that shows us what the will of God is. He
is that image that man lost in the Garden of Eden
and the glory of God that should excite every man’s
earnest desire. He is what we are to become if we are
to please God, and our forerunner in the true race of
life. He is our only permissible object of
covetousness and the preeminent prosperity that we
are to seek.

Please take time to digest the following portions of

scripture before continuing:

Hebrews 6:20
Whither the FORERUNNER is for us entered, EVEN
JESUS, made an high priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.

Ephesians 4:20-24
...BUT YE HAVE NOT SO LEARNED CHRIST;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by
him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to
the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your
mind; 24 And that ye PUT ON THE NEW MAN,
WHICH AFTER GOD IS CREATED IN
RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUE HOLINESS.

Acts 5:42
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to
teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:27-28
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST
IN YOU: 28 WHOM WE PREACH, warning every
man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; THAT WE
MAY PRESENT EVERY MAN PERFECT IN
CHRIST JESUS.

Galatians 1:15-16
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's
womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To REVEAL HIS
SON IN ME, THAT I MIGHT PREACH HIM
among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and
blood:

2 Corinthians 4:5-6
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus 'sake. 6 For God, who
commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in
our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We cannot understand anything that God requires of

us until we learn how Jesus did it. Whatever it is -
whether Holiness, Love, Meekness, Forgiveness,
Relationships, Leadership or Godliness - nothing can
show us how God wants us to do anything, not even
the Old Testament legislation. Our only mirror into
God’s mind is the life lived on earth by Christ.
Everything that God wants from us was offered by
Christ.

He is the Will of God: the express image of God; the

expression of everything that God wants man to
know about Him; the life that God wants man to
live on this earth. No one can understand any truth
until we understand how Christ lived it. Christ's life
has become the brightness of God’s glory, shining as
an everlasting beacon to lead us along the secure
path and narrow way of true worship unto God.
This is the meaning of the scripture most people
quote causally: "In Him was life and that life was the light
of men...the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh
into the world" (John 1: 3, 9). Serving God and
worshipping God is, therefore, only understood by
digging deep into the revelation of the person and
lifestyle that Jesus Christ lived on earth.
Isaiah 60:1-5
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is
risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross
darkness the people:
but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen
upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and
kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4 Lift up thine eyes round
about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to
thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be
nursed at thy side.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall
fear, and be enlarged;
because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee,
the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

The prophecy above is about Him. He is the light

which John the Baptist bore witness to - that light
which caused God’s glory - God’s Almightiness - to
reside in a man. Wherever He lives and thrives,
divine things happen because God’s glory is in Him.
Gentiles and kings come to this light; God’s people
are cared for and nursed by this light which
possesses God’s glory. Societies are transformed
when people carry this light and God is revered by
men who truly carry this light, transmitting His glory.
This is the secret of God’s transformation agenda:
the wisdom which is foolishness even in this church
era.

Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me,
See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren
that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the
testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Everyone who is in heaven now is there because

their lives on earth were a testimony of Him. He is
what the whole Bible is about. Every prophecy of
Old Testament scripture is pointing us to Him and
every instruction of the New is showing us how He
lived - and how we should live. The Old Testament
simply is His shadow and the New Testament is the
revelation of His substance and very being. He is the
real Passover from death to life, whose shadow was
cast as a Passover out of Egypt to freedom. The
lamb’s blood on the door posts, which the death
angel saw and went past, was a coded witness of the
true Lamb of God that taketh the sins of the world
away. The leaven which Israel had eliminate from
their houses or face death was sin which so easily
beset us that must be flushed out. What about
Israel's baptism into the Red Sea, the rock and the
manna - it was all CHRIST'S shadow, awaiting His
coming. Was it the temple and its censers and golden
levers
which had to follow a certain divine pattern? Or was
it the most Holy place, in which even as He died on
the cross, the veil was torn to signify the real
substance of the breaking of His body and the
opening of a new way to God?

1 Corinthians 10:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant,
how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed
through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the
cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual
meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they
drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that
Rock was Christ.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump,
as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is
sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old
leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but
with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Mark 15:37-39
And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. 38
And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to
the bottom.
39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him,
saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly
this man was the Son of God.

Hebrews 10:19-20
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by
the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath
consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.

Hebrews 9:1-4,9-12
Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine
service, and a worldly sanctuary. 2 For there was a tabernacle
made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table,
and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. 3 And after
the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant
overlaid roundabout with gold, wherein was the golden pot that
had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of
the covenant...
The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of
all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was
yet standing: 9 Which was a figure for the time then present,
in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not
make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the
conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and
divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until
the time of reformation.
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to
come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with
hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the
blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in
once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for
us.

Do not get bound by any lie that tries to make your

Christianity about laws and rules. True Christianity is
simply the unveiling and embracing of the life of
Christ. Jesus Christ is the life that God wants us to
live and every instruction in the New Testament is a
revelation on how to live the Christ life.

Ephesians 4:20-24
But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have
heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in
Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that
ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.

The Christ life is the abundant life. Real Life is not

about the pursuit of degrees, money, fame or things
that Gentiles pursue; it is about knowing how Christ
- our life's' example - lived and seeking grace to
emulate Him.

Luke 24:13-16
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village
called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore
furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which
had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they
communed together and reasoned, JESUS HIMSELF
DREW NEAR and went with them. 16 BUT THEIR
EYES WERE HOLDEN THAT THEY SHOULD
NOT KNOW HIM.

Just like the two men on the road to Emmaus, the

eyes of too many are shut and being blinded from
knowing Christ. Blind teachers are leading blind
Christians - and if the Lord does not open our eyes,
this generation of Christians shall fall into an
eternally hopeless ditch.

Luke 24:25-27
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe
all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to
have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And
beginning at Moses and all the prophets, HE
EXPOUNDED UNTO THEM IN ALL THE
SCRIPTURES THE THINGS CONCERNING
HIMSELF.

Luke 24:31-32
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he
vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another,
Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by
the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Dear Friend, do you know what the foreknowledge
of God regarding His bonafide is? This means -
what God knew about everyone who will be with
Him eternally even before they were born - infact
even before the earth was formed. Gods true
children were foreordained and predestined to be
like Jesus. If this is not your life on earth, then you
are not a part of Him in eternity.

1 Peter 1:2
ELECT OF GOD ACCORDING TO THE
FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD the Father, through
sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of
the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be
multiplied.

Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren.

WAKE UP DEARLY BELOVED - ARISE AND

SEEK CHRIST - SEE CHRIST - LOVE CHRIST -
LIVE CHRIST - PREACH CHRIST - GIVE
CHRIST.

1 John 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him (Christ), ought himself also
so to walk, even as he (Christ) walked.

Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a
cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin
which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the
race that is set before us, 2 LOOKING UNTO JESUS
(emulating Jesus), the author and finisher of our faith; who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Now that Christ is sat down at the right hand of

God, He has sent us to live the same life the Father
sent Him to live. If we earnestly seek grace to
overcome the world and its lusts, so as to live as
Christ did, we are promised the expression of God’s
glory as a means for our peace and joy on this earth
and for affecting all men for God supernaturally.
This glory will also produce a reign of eternal
dominion with Christ, sharing God’s throne of God
forever. This wonderful blessing of God shall
ONLY be available to those of us who will
overcome the world through faith, BY LIVING
CHRIST.

Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.

1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him.

1 John 5:1-4
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:
and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that
is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children
of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:
and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is
born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that
overcometh the world, even our faith.

In today's Church era, many are being prepped to go

after money, cars, houses, fame, certificates and
earthly success; this is the emptiness they call
dominion. The reality is that true dominion and the
abundant life are only found in living and expressing
the glory of the life of Christ, and this is what the
gospel of Christ is all about. God has set up another
type of life for ALL His bona fide children to lead.
He commands us to go after the life that Christ
lived. This is the real life of true Christians. This is
the authentic abundant life that Christ came to give
to you and me.

John 1:4-5
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the
light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it
not.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.

Philippians 3:7-8
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for
Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom
I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but
dung, that I may win Christ.
To live the true Christian life, one which incubates
the glory of God, we must forfeit our lives to Christ
in order to win and live His life on earth. Again, let
me show you another spiritual and eternal mystery.
Every true believer is called to exchange their lives
for CHRIST'S and then eagerly seek grace to live
Christ's life on earth. By so doing, when Jesus
returns again, He will return with our lives which we
gave to Him, but this time with every glorious and
eternal dividend we accumulated by successfully
living His life while we lived on earth. Can your faith
grasp this? We no longer have any rights to live in
our body as we will. The only life we are to live in
our body is Christ. The life we forfeited for His is
now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ
returns, He shall give us back our life with its
everlasting rewards that will be harvested as a result
of our prosperity in living His life now.

Colossians 3:1-4
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set
your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also
appear with him in glory.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me.
1 John 3:2-3
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet
appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself,
even as he is pure.

Matthew 6:19-20
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth
and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and
steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not
break through nor steal.
CHAPTER FIVE
TRUE CHRISTIANITY CAN
ONLY BE PROPAGATED BY
THOSE WHO PREACH CHRIST

The work of every authentic minister of the gospel,

and the duty of every true follower of Jesus, is to
gain a deep knowledge of how Christ thought, acted,
responded or reacted in every situation (while He
was a man). The real mystery of spiritual warfare is
the battle to gain deep knowledge and practical
expression of the heart and mind with which Jesus
Christ functioned, as He walked the grounds of this
earth. As believers, any other objective for preaching
or living is a misleading fallacy and fable: a
counterfeit Christianity disguised as the real deal.
This was the battle that Adam and Eve lost in the
Garden of Eden, and it is the same battle that
different Christian generations have either won or
lost. Our generation has been losing this battle for
the pure knowledge of God. May we be an
awakening and awakened generation.
Ephesians 4:11-15
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the
perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity
of the faith, and of THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE
SON OF GOD, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no
more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth
in love, MAY GROW UP INTO HIM IN ALL
THINGS, which is the head, even Christ.

2 John 1:4, 9-11

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth,
as we have received a commandment from the
Father...Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the
doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the
doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If
there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive
him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For
he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

1 Timothy 1:3-4
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into
Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they
TEACH NO OTHER DOCTRINE 4 Neither give
heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

The Christian race is thus about gaining and growing

in the image and characteristics of Christ's life -
nothing less, nothing more. This is why heaven
mourns when a generation of professing Christians
waste their precious time craving the lesser things,
which men void of the knowledge of God covet,
such as material and temporal glories of man.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Colossians 3:4
When Christ, WHO IS OUR LIFE shall appear, then
shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Philippians 1:18-21
What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence,
or in truth, CHRIST IS PREACHED; and I therein do
rejoice, yea, and will rejoice... According to my earnest
expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed,
but that with all boldness, as always, so now also CHRIST
SHALL BE MAGNIFIED IN MY BODY, whether it
be by life, or by death. 21 FOR ME TO LIVE IS
CHRIST and to die is gain.

Truth, when spoken in love, results in Christ being

formed in God’s people. If the objective of our
preaching is not that Christ be formed in God’s
people, we are not speaking truth. Instead, we are
surreptitiously or ignorantly promoting philosophies,
rudiments and ideologies of this world, all decked in
biblical garb.

Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ..

Colossians 2:6-8
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk
ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in
the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with
thanksgiving.
8 BEWARE LEST ANY MAN SPOIL YOU
THROUGH PHILOSOPHY AND VAIN
DECEIT, AFTER THE TRADITION OF MEN,
AFTER THE RUDIMENTS OF THE WORLD,
AND NOT AFTER CHRIST.

Sadly, the popular kind of Christianity being offered

by the teachers of today is one that does not really
know nor teach God’s people Christ. The most
promoted and celebrated messages of today are the
ones which seem to be stressing some imbalanced
biblical principles to do with material, emotional and
physical blessings or those which surreptitiously
undermine the raw passion for pursuing the pure
and holy lifestyle of Christ or those which promote a
religious lifestyle of holiness patterned after Old
Testament rules and not Christ. These false
teachings are luring many to seek a "Gentile type"
dominion on an earth soon to be burnt and replaced
or causing many to live sinfully and without deep
contriteness - or even misleading others into a false
sense of piety that observes certain rules, yet is void
of the true Christ-life.

2 Peter 3:10-14
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in
the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the
works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that
all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons
ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the
elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we,
according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new
earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be
diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot,
and blameless.

Let me say loud and clear and with sincere love that
any pastor, teacher, apostle, evangelist or prophet
who is not impressing the image or characteristics of
Jesus Christ upon the hearts of God’s people will
have run in vain when time is up.

Matthew 15:13-14
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly
Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them
alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead
the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

When believers, just like Gentiles, seek and celebrate

breakthroughs and victories pertaining to money and
material things, especially when their living like
Christ is undervalued, they abide in a state of
blindness and apostasy. Those who really feel and
know God’s heart mourn and travail at the dearth
and loss brought about by such a Christless
Christianity in the Church.
Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until
Christ be formed in you.

Revelation 3:17-18
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and
have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel
thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be
rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that
the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Spiritual blindness is a condition of perdition

brought about by satanic delusion. One way in
which it occurs is when the professing Church is
gingered up to celebrate material and temporal
things, yet Christlikeness is grossly missing, or when
Christians look or behave pious outwardly, yet their
pride, bitterness, hatred and lack of divine mercy and
love is clear for all to see but themselves. This I call
the "Eli syndrome" - a serious spiritual ailment
which causes professing Christians to fail in seeing
the spiritual emptiness in their lives and all around or
to bury their heads in the sand and accommodate an
adulterated message of godliness. It is the nakedness
and blindness of the Laodiceans, who foolishly
rejoiced "in Christ", when they ought to have been
weeping at their apostasy and spiritual decadence. In
the time of Ezra, when the foundation of the Lord’s
house was being rebuilt, the young men danced for
joy but the old men wept sore. Why?
Ezra 3:12-13
But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers,
who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the
foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a
loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: 13 So that the
people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the
noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a
loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

The ancient men saw the glorious and golden temple

which Solomon built for God, but the young men
did not. They were born into a time of serious
"spiritual" poverty, and that was why they celebrated
such a low-grade house. To the young men who had
been in captivity and deep poverty all their lives, this
inferior house was an awesome breakthrough. This
is the blindness sweeping across Christianity today.
May the ancient men of our time awake and arise.
Are you not tired of seeing the hypocrisy and
impotency being brandished as Christ? What about
in your life? Are you one of those who have come
into Christianity for a jolly ride that will make you
outshine the Gentiles of this world? Are you in the
rat race to outdo your friends in the world by
making more money than they do? Listen friend,
true Christians are real letters of Christ read by all
men. They show forth the authentic life that Christ
lived on earth. True Christianity means living as
Christ lived. Wake up and join the most eternally
rewarding race and journey through earth. Wake up
and reveal the Christ in you!

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (AMP)

But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in
triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us
spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of
God everywhere, For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ
[which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those
who are being saved and among those who are perishing:

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (AMP)

...you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our
credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived,
recognized) and read by everybody. You show and make
obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not
written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not
on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Romans 13:11-14 (AMP)

The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then
drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on
the [full] armor of light. Let us live and conduct ourselves
honorably and becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in
revelling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and
debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarrelling
and jealousy. But CLOTHE YOURSELF WITH THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST (the Messiah), and make no
provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking
about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its]
desires (lusts).

The true glory of the Church depends on whether or

not we are training and raising Christlike Christians.
This happens when believers are taught Christ in
such a way that they grow up into the stature of
Christ. There really should not be a phrase like
"Christlike Christian", because Christian simply
means Christlike. However, because the word
Christian is synonymous with everything else but
Christlikeness today, we must add the emphasis so
that peradventure, we may regain the true meaning
and essence of Christianity.

It is a terrible shame when the bulk of pursuits and

rejoicing in today's Christianity consist of the same
stuff as with the Gentiles : rejoicing about money,
houses, cars, jobs, healing, destruction of enemies
and more material things. Yet, the pursuit of
Christlike love, meekness, humility, peaceableness,
obedience, holiness, stewardship, soul-winning,
sincerity, gentleness, endurance, honesty, power,
generosity, selflessness, integrity, inner purity, etc.,
are grossly undervalued, uncelebrated and
unrealized. This is the sad state of most Christians
and Churches living in these last days and it was
prophesied about in times past. It is happening right
now, yet many are still blind, like in the days of
Noah.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Matthew 24:37-39
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the
Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the
flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away;
so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Many local Churches have no qualms whether or not

sin, envy, greed, pride and strife are rife and rampant
amongst their members. They now call it grace.
Rather than maintain a posture of mournfulness for
the prevalence of sin in their midst, they are
celebrating money and titles. What an abomination--
such an aberration. Are you caught up in this sinking
quicksand that will soak away its beguiled disciples?
Waste no time and get out of it! Get out of there
NOW...TODAY!! Don't let God’s judgment visit
you there. Don't let death usher you into eternity
from such a Sardis church, I beg of you, dear child
of God.

1 Corinthians 5:1-2
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you,
and such fornication as is not so much as named among the
Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are
puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath
done this deed might be taken away from among you.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

2 Peter 2:2-3
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of
whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through
covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise
of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and
their damnation slumbereth not.

I pray that God will lead you where sincere and

fervent repentance is sought and restore you to a
true atmosphere and brotherhood of Christ. Be well
assured that Christianity without Christlikeness is
mere lip service religion which professes a fake
godliness. It is having a form of godliness where
Christ is not formed or their "Christ" is deformed.
True Christianity will cause the Christ of God - who
is our hope of everlasting glory - to be molded in
you.

1 Corinthians 5:1-6
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you,
and such fornication as is not so much as named among the
Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are
puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath
done this deed might be taken away from among you....6 Your
glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth
the whole lump?

Galatians 4:19 (AMP)

My little children, for whom I am again suffering birth pangs
until Christ is completely and permanently formed (molded)
within you.

Again we pray, may the ancient men arise. May we see the
wisdom in pursuing the greater, which is the eternal, knowing
that the lesser is contained therein. May God deliver you and
every true seeker of Him, from the evil spirits of error and
deceit.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man
perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our
light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a
far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we
look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but
the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Peter 2:1-3, 15, 18-29, 20-22 (AMP)

BUT ALSO [in those days] there arose false prophets among
the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves,
who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines
(destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master
Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
And many will follow their immoral ways and lascivious
doings; because of them the true Way will be maligned and
defamed. And in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will
exploit you with false (cunning) arguments. From of old the
sentence [of condemnation] for them has not been idle; their
destruction (eternal misery) has not been asleep...Forsaking the
straight road, they have gone astray. They have followed the
way of Balaam [the son] of Beor, who loved the reward of
wickedness. For uttering loud boasts of folly, they beguile and
lure with lustful desires of the flesh those who are barely
escaping from them who are wrongdoers. They promise them
liberty, when they themselves are the slaves of depravity and
defilement. For by whatever anyone is made inferior or worse
or is overcome, to that [person or thing] he is enslaved...For if,
after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through [the
full, personal] knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ, they again become entangled in them and are overcome,
their last condition is worse [for them] than the first. For never
to have obtained a [full, personal] knowledge of the way of
righteousness would have been better for them than, having
obtained [such knowledge], to turn back from the holy
commandment which was [verbally] delivered to them. There
has befallen them the thing spoken of in the true proverb, The
dog turns back to his own vomit and, the sow is washed only
to wallow again in the mire.

1 Kings 3:5-14
In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by
night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 6 And
Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my
father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth,
and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee;
and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast
given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 And
now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king
instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I
know not how to go out or come in. 8 And thy servant is in
the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people,
that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give
therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy
people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is
able to judge this thy so great a people? 10 And the speech
pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And
God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and
hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches
for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast
asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12
Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given
thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none
like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto
thee. 13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not
asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any
among the kings like unto thee all thy days. 14 And if thou
wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my
commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will
lengthen thy days.
CHAPTER SIX
CHRISTIANITY IS NOT
FASHIONED AFTER ANY
SYSTEM OR STANDARD OF MAN
Galatians 1:11 (AMP)
For I want you to know, brethren, that the Gospel which was
proclaimed and made known by me is not man’s gospel [a
human invention, according to or patterned after any human
standard].

CAPITALISM, SOCIALISM, OR ANY "ISM"

MAN HAS DESIGNED ARE ALL SYSTEMS OF
MAN. WE ARE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF
IT. Our life is about Christ - the hope of our glory -
being formed in us. This is how God’s glory and
power is generated in us and this is how God intends
to impact the world through us.

Wikipedia describes capitalism as an economic

system in which trade, industry and the means of
production are controlled by private owners with the
goal of making profits in a market economy. Central
characteristics of capitalism include: capital
accumulation, competitive markets and wage labor.

This is what a lot of today's Christianity is built

around - the doctrine of gain and accumulation -
acquired by those who learn the "powerful words
and confessions of faith", those who can call forth
money and every physical craving of theirs into
material existence. With this incredible power of
faith, they become spiritual capitalists who are able
to create the physical world of their dreams. With
this kind of power, little wonder we now have
megachurches, where many run to get some
principles that will help them acquire all their empty
wants. In that way, they no longer need to rely on
God to shape their destiny on earth, because they are
now taught to do it all by themselves and even get
God to validate their veiled lusts.

Mark 10:24-27
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus
answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is
it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of
God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among
themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking
upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with
God: for with God all things are possible?

Dear friends, this is a simple recipe that says,

“Throw away contentment and embrace
covetousness; throw away God and embrace
mammon; throw away the pursuit of becoming a
living sacrifice, who no longer has a say as to which
way God chooses to direct their life and instead use
faith to recreate the world of your choosing.”

Matthew 6:31-32
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Looking a little closer, one discovers why
materialism and covetousness have overtaken today's
Christianity. You see that faith is no longer utilized
as a veritable and vital instrument to forge
Christlikeness. Instead, faith is pursued by gullible
and greedy folks who mainly want to satisfy their
bellies using spiritual-sounding words and Bible
lingo. Smart principles of faith, which even produce
physical evidence of material accumulation, are
promoted at the expense of Jesus' clear teachings.
Many fail to realize that principles may work, yet
cause leanness of the soul. Many fail to realize that
they may have faith to move mountains and do
wonderful works even in Christ's name, yet still be
banished to utter eternal oblivion. PURSUE
CHRISTLIKENESS AND YIELD TO THE
LORD AND HE WILL ADD ALL THINGS HE
DESIRES FOR YOU - BY HIMSELF AND IN
HIS TIME.

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth
and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and
steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not
break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there
will your heart be also.

Philippians 3:17-20
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which
walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk,
of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,
that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end
is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in
their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our
conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ...

Luke 12:15
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of
covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of
the things which he possesseth.

Christianity is not about gain, even though material

gains may come if God permits it. Christianity is
primarily not about our welfare, but about OUR
GAIN OF CHRIST, of Christlikeness or of the
Christ lifestyle. Our welfare on earth is secondary to
God’s well being in us. Our consecration to God
must be total, even to the laying down of our lives so
as to do God’s bidding if need be. This is certainly
not the popular message of our time, but it is the
gospel truth and it reveals the true affection of men's
hearts. Where is your heart and where do your
treasures lie?

Colossians 2:8 (AMP)

See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you
yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and
intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain
nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the
material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions
following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the
universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the
Messiah).
1 Timothy 6:7-12
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we
can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us
be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into
temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful
lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For
the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some
coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced
themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto
thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.

This timeless message to Timothy is still not

outdated. Be content so long as you have food to eat
and clothing on your body, because pursuing earthly
riches can be a potentially deadly endeavor which
ensnares souls unto perdition. Many ministers have
carried God’s people around as spoils and have thus
spoilt them. Be delivered in Jesus’ name.

Mark 4:18-19
And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear
the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness
of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the
word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Flee from this covetousness and pursue Christlike

characteristics such as righteousness, godliness, faith,
love, patience, and meekness. Fight the real and
good fight of faith, which involves laying hold of
eternal life. How does one lay hold of eternal life,
knowing that this represents the real fight of faith?
We lay hold of eternal life by seeking to know God
through knowing and being changed into Christ,
who came to do God’s will and enabled us do
likewise. The laying hold of eternal life, or simply the
race of knowing Christ, is the true fight of faith that
we are to engage in.

John 17:3-4
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only
true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have
glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou
gavest me to do.

John 17:16-19
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As
thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them
into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that
they also might be sanctified through the truth.

There is so much covetousness being paraded as

prosperity. The following portion of scripture is
another indictment of the capitalistic doctrine of
gain being paraded today as the prosperity gospel,
which leads professing Christians to develop
"Gentile-like" cravings for earthly and temporal
things, thus suffocating the holy quest for true
riches.

1 Corinthians 7:17-24 (AMP)

Only, let each one [seek to conduct himself and regulate his
affairs so as to] lead the life which the Lord has allotted and
imparted to him and to which God has invited and summoned
him. This is my order in all the Churches. Was anyone at the
time of his summons [from God] already circumcised? Let him
not seek to remove the evidence of circumcision. Was anyone at
the time [God] called him uncircumcised? Let him not be
circumcised. For circumcision is nothing and counts for
nothing, neither does uncircumcision, but [what counts is]
keeping the commandments of God. Everyone should remain
after God calls him in the station or condition of life in which
the summons found him. Were you a slave when you were
called? Do not let that trouble you. But if you are able to gain
your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity. For he who as
a slave was summoned in [to union with] the Lord is a
freedman of the Lord, just so he who was free when he was
called is a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah). You were
bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid
for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in
your own estimation] slaves to men [but consider yourselves
slaves to Christ]. So, brethren, in whatever station or state or
condition of life each one was when he was called, there let him
continue with and close to God.

How can anyone read the portion of scripture above

and not see the crass covetousness being
perpetuated today in the Lord’s name? It is not
possible to crave for earthly things, whilst also
craving for holiness and eternal things. We are to be
content with our lot in life, trusting God to lift us up
as He wills. The beauty of contentment is that as we
exclusively pursue Christlikeness, God gives us what
He wills. The prosperity of true believers is to thrive
in Christlikeness, and every other benefit - even
those which may be beneficial in our earthly sojourn
- will be given. We are strangers and pilgrims on this
present earth. This world and this present earth are
not our home.

1 Peter 2:11
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as STRANGERS AND
PILGRIMS, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against
the soul.

We are to excel in righteousness as we engage in

whatsoever labor or work we find ourselves
undertaking. If earthly benefits come to us, all well
and good, and if we do not have much, all well and
good, so long as our focus remains the price of
Christlikeness. Do not forget that Jesus worked as a
carpenter, yet destiny is not about carpentry or any
work. Destiny is about how sincerely and
passionately we seek to obey God, doing God’s will
in whatever we undertake and wherever we are. The
destiny of every believer was preordained even
before the worlds were made, and it is that we
conform to the image of Christ. It is to those ones
who love God enough to pursue conformity to
Christ's image that God causes all things to work for
their good. Gaining the whole world and losing your
soul is not all things working for your good. Open
your eyes and ears so that the Lord may give you real
sight and hearing.

Romans 8:28-29
And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, TO THEM WHO ARE THE
CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. 29
For whom he did foreknow, HE ALSO DID
PREDESTINATE TO BE CONFORMED TO
THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face BEHOLDING as in a glass
THE GLORY OF THE LORD (Christ's Life), ARE
CHANGED INTO THE SAME IMAGE from glory
to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
hath shined in our hearts, TO GIVE LIGHT
(understanding) OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE
GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE (resemblance) OF
JESUS CHRIST.

When Christlikeness - the true pursuit of prosperity -

was taken out of our Churches, Christianity began to
lose God’s glory. If Christ is ever restored, so shall
be the glory of the Lord. We cannot remain content,
according to God’s definition of contentment, whilst
being covetous for earthly glory at the same time.
No man can serve God and mammon together, just
as none can look up to the heavens with one eye and
at the same time look down at the earth with the
other.

1 Timothy 6:3-8
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the
doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud,
knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of
words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of
the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw
thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we
brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry
nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be
therewith content.

Matthew 6:24-33
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one,
and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise
the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I
say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat,
or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall
put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than
raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not,
neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his
stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider
the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do
they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in
all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore,
if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and
tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe
you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying,
What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these
things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.

Many serve God with the mindset that Jesus died to

make much out of them, yet this is not altogether
correct. Jesus died so that we may make much out of
God. It is by our making much out of God that God
makes much out of us. We are to humble ourselves
under God, just like Jesus did in suffering and dying
on the cross so He could obey God. When we
humble ourselves in obedience under the Lord, God
exalts us by Himself in His time, just like He did
with Christ.

1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care
upon him; for he careth for you.

Philippians 2:5-9
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and
took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, HE
HUMBLED HIMSELF AND BECAME
OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, even the death of the
cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and
given him a name which is above every name...

1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal
glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make
you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Indeed, God desires to care for His people

materially, but Christianity is not about the meeting
of our needs. It is rather about the offering of our
lives to meet God’s needs, even at the cost of our
very lives.
1 Timothy 4:7-8 (AMP)
"...Train yourself toward godliness (piety), [keeping yourself
spiritually fit]. For physical training is of some value (useful
for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of
value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for
the present life and also for the life which is to come.

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; AND THEY LOVED NOT
THEIR LIVES UNTO THE DEATH.

2 Corinthians 5:15
And that he died for all, that they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for
them, and rose again.

Romans 8:35-37
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, FOR
THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL DAY
LONG; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay,
in all these things we are more than conquerors through him
that loved us.

Revelation 2:9-10
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art
rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are
Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear
none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil
shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye
shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death,
and I will give thee a crown of life.

Hebrews 11:24-27
By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be
called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25 Choosing rather to
suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the
pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of
Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had
respect unto the recompense of the reward. 27 By faith he
forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
CHAPTER SEVEN
CHRISTIANITY IS THE CALL TO
HOLINESS
Christianity is a calling. It is about one core and
primary calling: a call to share in God’s nature of
holiness, which gives us the hope of eternal Glory.

2 Peter 1:3-4 (AMP)

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that
[are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the
[full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to
His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He
has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great
promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from
the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the
world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become
sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

God had a dream before He ever made man or even

the earth, and it was to raise for Himself a holy
people. This is the reason for sending Jesus. God’s
main work in the Church of Jesus Christ is to train
His people to partake in His holiness.

Meditate deeply and prayerfully on the following ten

portions of scripture - they speak clearly enough for
all to hear.

1. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in

ONE HOPE OF YOUR CALLING... (Ephesians 4:4)
2. According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before him in love. Ephesians 1:4

3. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to his own purpose and
grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world
began. (2 Timothy 1:9)

4. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your

mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the
body of his flesh through death, TO PRESENT YOU
HOLY AND UNBLAMABLE AND
UNREPROVABLE IN HIS SIGHT: 23 IF YE
CONTINUE in the faith grounded and settled, and be
NOT MOVED AWAY FROM THE HOPE OF
THE GOSPEL, which ye have heard, and which was
preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I
Paul am made a minister. (Colossians 1:21-23)

5. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all

manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy;
for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:15-16

6. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,

consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ
Jesus...Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But
exhort one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of
you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we
are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence steadfast unto the end. (Hebrews 3:1, 12-14)

7. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which

corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much
rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own
pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of
his holiness. (Hebrews 12:9-10)

8. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in
the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the
works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that
all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons
ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. (2 Peter
3:10-11)

9. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no

man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest any man
fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up
trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; 16 Lest there be any
fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of
meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward,
when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for
he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully
with tears. (Hebrews 12:14-17)

10. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy

nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises
of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous
light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now
the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now
have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as
strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war
against the soul; (1 Peter 2:9-11)

Christianity Is Pursuing the Privilege Of Allowing

God Prepare Our Body For His Holy Habitation

In dispensations past, God’s habitation was only in

heaven.

Isaiah 63:15
Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of
thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy
strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward
me? are they restrained?

Through faith in Christ, the habitation of God has

now also become the bodies or lives of God’s
people. Therefore, this makes true Christianity the
joyful relinquishing of the ownership rights of our
lives to God. It means that God wants to refurbish,
renovate and purify our bodies, so that He may
pleasurably live in us as comfortably as He does in
His heavenly home. This is why Jesus taught us to
pray "...thy will be done on earth, as it is being done in
heaven..." (Matthew 6: 10). Our life's goal and prayer
must now be "LORD, TAKE MY LIFE; PURIFY
IT TO BE A HOLY HABITATION, FIT FOR
YOUR COMFORTABLE DWELLING."

Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to
all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly
lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this
present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us
from all iniquity, and PURIFY UNTO HIMSELF a
peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Ephesians 2:22
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God
through the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit
of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of
God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy,
which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the
body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his
own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the
temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of
God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a
price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit,
which are God's.

Becoming a true God pleaser means that one is now

passionate for the grace which transforms our lives
into a habitation fit for the Sovereign and Most Holy
God who dwells in light. This is what God calls
SANCTIFICATION and is beautifully captured in
some of David’s Psalms.

Psalms 132:4-5
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, 5
Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the
mighty God of Jacob.

Psalms 91:9-10
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the
most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Christianity is about the spirits and souls of people,

used by God to build a holy habitation for Himself.
This is a wonderful mystery of godliness: that God is
building a new eternal habitation starting here on
earth with sanctified Christians and culminating in
heaven with glorified saints. This is why salvation
will belong to the brides who made themselves ready
through pure and passionate sanctification unto
God.

Revelation 21:3-4
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with
them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the
former things are passed away.

Ephesians 5:26-27
...That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of
water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a
glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such
thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
CHAPTER EIGHT
CHRISTIANITY IS NOT
HUMANISM
Christianity is not humanism; it is the forfeiture or
denial of self will so that God’s will can preside over
our lives.

In a nutshell, humanism is defined as the system of

thought that attaches prime importance to human
well being. Oftentimes, human interests clash with
God’s, and humanistic tendencies end up raising
man’s interests above divine interests.

2 Corinthians 5:15
And that he died for all, that they which live should not
henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for
them, and rose again.

Another counterfeit gospel is one which aims at

establishing a humanistic Christianity. This is a stark
contrast to the message of the Cross, which Jesus
insisted that every true follower of His embrace.
One of the clearest lessons of the danger of the
humanism gospel was taught to Peter by Christ and
is (by extension) a lesson for all who truly seek God.

Mt 16:22-23 (J.B. Phillips)

Then Peter took him on one side and started to remonstrate
with him over this. “God bless you, Master! Nothing like this
must happen to you!” Then Jesus turned round and said to
Peter, “Out of my way, Satan! ... you stand right in my path,
Peter, when you look at things from man’s point of view and
not from God’s”.

Here we see how Peter was motivated by a sincere

desire to preserve Jesus' life. However, up to that
point he had missed the whole essence of the core
message, which the Lord had been imparting unto
His followers; specifically: "Thy will be done on
earth as in heaven"..."whoever does My Father’s will
is My mother, brother or sister"..."not everyone that
calls me Lord is mine, but they which do My
Father’s will"… "Why do you call me Lord and do
not do the things I say?", etc. Jesus came to show us
how to do the Father’s will, and the first major
lesson to be learnt if we must be true followers of
His is "EMBRACE THE MINDSET WITH
WHICH JESUS OUR FORERUNNER SERVED
THE FATHER."

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus...

Which mind?

Philippians 2:8-9
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself,
and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name:

THE MINDSET OF A TRUE FOLLOWER OF

CHRIST MUST BE THAT "God’s will is my
highest priority for living. It is more important than
my comfort, safety or gratification in whatsoever
way."

Matthew 16:23 (ASB)

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan!
You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your
mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”

That evil spirit which influenced Peter was more

interested in the interests or gratification of man
than in what God wanted. It worked through a
sincere but ignorant man at that time, as it still does
today. Peter was convinced that he was reaching out
to Jesus in love. But true divine love is far beyond
finding comfort for man; it is man doing God’s will
by divine grace. Therefore, true ministry is about
ministers leading God’s flock into the place of
obedience to God - no matter the losses or suffering
we may need to endure along the way.

1 Peter 4:1-2
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh,
arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath
suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer
should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men,
but to the will of God.

A true Christian who is well taught in truth would

rather suffer pain, shame, loss, or denial, instead of
undermining the interests or will of God. One who
seeks grace to live this way becomes a living sacrifice
unto God because they, like Jesus, have joyfully,
through seeking grace, denied their self or fleshly
interests that clash with God's interests.
This is the meaning of carrying one's cross and
following Jesus. This was the teaching which
proceeded from this scenario between Jesus and
Peter. It is the true gospel of Christ for the saint:
THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS.

1 Corinthians 1: 18 (J.B. Phillips)

The preaching of the cross is, I know, nonsense to those who
are involved in this dying world, but to us who are being saved
from that death it is nothing less than the power of God.

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our
Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me,
and I unto the world.

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the
death.

This same spirit of Satan is still at work today in the

Church. Just as in its subtle form manifested in
Peter, it is called Christian humanism. This is when
ministers are more interested in the interests of
people than they are in God’s. It is sometimes
expressed through “seeker-friendly” messages,
“blanket blessings with no obligations”, ”kind
messages”, “hyper grace” messages, etc. It is when
ministers who may have sincere motives choose to
pamper professing Christians, without prioritizing
the supremacy of doing God’s will - whether or not
suffering ensues. The humanist minister is acutely
aware of men's needs and problems and usually
seeks to bring about solutions. The only problem is
that they fail to see the supremacy of obeying God’s
will, as compared with the comforts and physical
well being of man. These ministers are the ones who
love proclaiming all kinds of positive-sounding
blessings and prophecies, even to a disobedient
Christian or a hell-bound soul.

Let me share a paradox: "Jesus did not come to

directly make much out of me - He came to help me
make much out of God. In so doing, God makes
much out of me." This is what it means to lose our
lives to Him, so that we may find them. Christianity
is about a hot pursuit of doing God’s Will, with a
passion far above that which seeks our comfort or
pleasure.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
covetous...Having a form of godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away.

Matthew 16:22-26
Then Peter took him on one side and started to remonstrate
with him over this. “God bless you, Master! Nothing like this
must happen to you!” Then Jesus turned round and said to
Peter, “Out of my way, Satan! ... you stand right in my path,
Peter, when you look at things from man’s point of view and
not from God’s”...Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone
wants to follow in my footsteps he must give up all right to
himself, take up his cross and follow me. For the man who
wants to save his life will lose it; but the man who loses his life
for my sake will find it. For what good is it for a man to gain
the whole world at the price of his own soul? What could a
man offer to buy back his soul once he had lost it?

We must again turn back to Him in hot pursuit,

seeking grace to lose our selfish and fleshly
gratifications in preference for the things which
please the Lord.
CHAPTER NINE
WHAT DOES TRUE SAVING
GRACE RESEMBLE?
If I tell a woman who is stranded in a desert where
terrorists thrive that the only way to escape and be
safe is to look out for a red bus with white number
plates and a golden roof, and then board that bus
but, for whatever reasons, she enters a blue bus with
green number plates and silver roof, is she safe?
Well, one might say that she is rather foolish,
because the descriptions of the safe bus were as clear
as crystal. So she probably deserves what she gets for
entering the wrong bus. Again, this is a major
dilemma facing the Church today: the failure to
discern what the true grace that produces salvation
looks like. This grave folly and delusion, which is
reigning, must be checked.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom...

We must walk wisely, gaining a clear knowledge of

the grace that God has sent us--not the different
kinds of sugary graces being promoted by men with
charm, but the true grace which brings real salvation.

Titus 2:11-15 (NIV)

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all
people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and
worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly
lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed
hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior,
Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all
wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very
own, eager to do what is good.
15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage
and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

What could be clearer than this description in the

scripture above of what the true grace which leads to
God’s salvation resembles? We are not only to
recognize it, but to teach it, encourage Christians to
grow in it and rebuke them if need be, so they don't
lose their way out of this grace. You must now ask
yourself these pertinent questions, so as to ascertain
and ensure that you're in the safe bus. Remember,
grace teaches things.

1. The grace you have bought into--does it teach you

to say NO to ungodliness?

2. The grace you have bought into--does it teach you

to overcome worldly passions?

3. The grace you have bought into--does it teach you

to live soberly or Spirit controlled?

4. The grace you have bought into--does it teach you

to practice righteousness?

5. The grace you have bought into--does it teach you

to live godly in this present world, as Christ did?

6. The grace you have bought into--does it purify

you from sin, inspiring you to eagerly desire doing
that which is good and right in the sight of God?

7. The grace you have bought into--does it prepare

you for the soon coming of Jesus Christ?

8. The grace you have bought into--does it

authoritatively speak, exhort and rebuke you in line
with these descriptions above or does it just make
you feel good and unconvicted about sin and
ungodliness?

The description of God’s grace which leads to full

everlasting salvation is clear, but why have many
boarded another bus? It is because of the power of
satanic delusion brought upon the teachers of our
time, and an evil scheming wrought to dislodge
those professing godliness in this era.

Jude 1:3-5
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you,
and exhort you that ye should EARNESTLY
CONTEND for the faith which was once delivered unto the
saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men,
TURNING THE GRACE OF GOD INTO
LASCIVIOUSNESS, and denying the only Lord God,
and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once
knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of
the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Salvation is like entering a university. At entry, one

matriculates and gets an admission card or identity
card. Interestingly, the admission card is not the
same as a graduation certificate and cannot earn one
the opportunity to gain employment. If one must be
gainfully employed, one has to be certified as having
graduated, after paying the necessary price of
studying and passing examinations. The
matriculation and the admission card, therefore,
(though a wonderful step in the right direction) will
not substitute for graduation and a degree certificate.
This is what Apostle Peter implies when referring to
believers "...who are kept by the power of God
through faith UNTO SALVATION READY TO
BE REVEALED IN THE LAST TIME."

Meditate on the scripture below:

1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again
unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and
that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are
kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready
to be revealed in the last time.

If the grace of God that brings salvation is really

ours and is producing its authentic results, should
our normal responses be a celebration of material
gains, which Gentiles celebrate as their yardstick of
success, or the celebration of the fruit of godliness
that enables us overcome worldliness?

Matthew 6:31-33
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I once heard Bro. B.H. Clendennen share a witty

story of how a "prosperity" minister came up to him
bragging about the exploits of his faith. The minister
said, "My faith has brought a private jet into
existence for me. What has your faith done for you?”
Pastor Clendennen replied, "My faith has helped me
overcome the world and all its lusts."

Dear reader, is your faith winning you material

things but not the true lifestyle of Christ?

Philippians 3:7-8
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for
Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom
I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but
dung, that I may win Christ...

I love the way Apostle John puts it, even though

these precious truths which this special apostle
shared have been twisted to serve materialistic ends
in our time.

3 John 1:2-4
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and
be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 For I rejoiced
greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that
is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no
greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

What prosperity is John speaking about? A

prosperity of the soul; a spiritual walk in the pathway
of Truth; one that flees the lusts of this world - one
which walks just as Jesus walked. It is ONLY when
this is in place that any kind of material or physical
addition that the Lord gives is worthwhile. This
means that our yardstick of measuring prosperity is
not health or material wealth, but instead the
blossoming of our soul through our walking in truth.
This should be our real cause for celebration, as
when this walk in truth is prospering, health,
finances and so on, are minor add-ons which God
gives.

What, therefore, did John describe as a walk in

truth? This is such a vital question because this walk
in truth is the truest prosperity we must embrace and
live for.

1 John 2:3-6
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his
commandments. 4 HE THAT SAITH, I KNOW HIM
AND KEEPETH NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS
IS A LIAR AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.5
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God
perfected: HEREBY KNOW WE THAT WE ARE
IN HIM. 6 HW THAT SAITH HE ABIDETH IN
HIM OUGHT HIMSELF SO TO WALK, EVEN
AS HE WALKED.

To walk in truth as seen in 1 John 2: 3-6 above, we

must live as Jesus did. If we do not seek to have the
mind, heart and lifestyle of Christ, we deceive
ourselves that we are enjoying saving grace. Walking
in truth or living as Christ lived is the race which
God has set before all true Christians, and it is in this
truth that real successes or failures are measured for
the true believer in Christ - in fact, for all of
mankind.

1 Peter 2:21-23
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered
for us, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, THAT YE
SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: 22 Who did no sin,
neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was
reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not;
but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.

This Christ lifestyle is what God has promised to

give us abundantly, if we seek it earnestly (John 10:
10).

Jeremiah 2:12-13
Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid,
be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. 13 For my people have
committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of
living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns,
that can hold no water.

John 7:37-41
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and
cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and
drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this
spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should
receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that
Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying,
said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. 41 Others said, This is
the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of
God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou
wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee
living water.

Do not be confused anymore. Christ has been

revealed and His life is the light or the pathway for
living to all men. He has promised us every resource
that pertains to this His life, which is the mystery of
godliness (2 Peter 1: 2-4; 1 Timothy 3: 16). Jesus is
the reflection in the mirror of life or the only
template of living which is acceptable to God on
earth. We must unveil and look into that mirror,
then seek grace from God to be changed into the
true image of Christ we see. This is the quest of all
true Christ chasers. Are you one? This is the glory
that every God pleaser seeks on earth. What about
you?

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of
the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

James 1:21-25
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word,
which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and
not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in
a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and
straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But
whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth
therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work,
this man shall be blessed in his deed.

My Savior
A Psalm by Mazino Egbuwoku

My Savior is a three-fold Savior

He is a converting Savior
Who converts souls from the pathway
Where the wrath of God is sure - and His terrible
judgement abides
He translates those who will hear -
from being the children of wrath that follow the
dictates of the flesh
unto becoming children eager for the Spirit’s way -
Sons of God in whom God’s love resides.

My Savior is so wonderful
He is a sanctifying Savior
Who washes my spirit and body from every sin
Purifying me from these giants which war against my
soul
He leads me up God’s Holy hill
As I passionately stay in His refinery
Where clean hands and pure hearts are produced
Where heavenly brides are made ready for their
King.

Oh my Savior - who is like Him

A glorifying Savior is my King
He clothes those whom He controls
With God’s presence and God’s glory
And reigns through those who let Him reign in them
He promises to share His eternal throne tomorrow,
With All who will let His throne thrive in their life
today.
Will you let Christ be the life you live on earth?
Will you let God have your earthly life as His?
Will you decrease so that He can increase?
Will you die so that He can live?
For - When Christ is your life over here,
You shall be crowned with God’s MAJESTY over
there.
CHAPTER TEN
WHAT IS TRUTH?
It is pertinent that we gain an even deeper
understanding of grace and truth. They are the twin
blessings that Jesus Christ brought to mankind.

John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.

GRACE empowers us to be all that God wants us to

be, from matriculation unto graduation.

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly
unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find
grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 12:28-29
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let
us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with
reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

TRUTH is God’s revelation to us regarding all that

He wants us to know and be. It is God’s reality.

John 16:13-14
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide
you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive
of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Pilate asked Jesus, "So what is truth"?

John 18:37-38
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus
answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I
born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should
bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth
heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, WHAT IS
TRUTH? And when he had said this, he went out again
unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at
all.

Actually, from God’s perspective, truth is not a set

of rules or an ideology; truth is a person wrapped
into a gift for mankind. The knowledge of truth is,
therefore, unraveling the gift wrapping (scriptures) to
reveal the attributes of a person - Jesus Christ.

John 5:33-34, 39
Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. 34 But
I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that
ye might be saved...Search the scriptures; for in them ye think
ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me,
See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren
that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the
testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

All scriptures point us in one direction - to one

person - for one lifestyle - JESUS CHRIST.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Anyone who unwraps the scriptures and receives

grace to discern Christ, His mind, His heart and His
lifestyle while He lived on earth is a witness of truth.

John 1:1,14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and
dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 2:3-6 (AMP)

And this is how we may discern [daily, by experience] that we
are coming to know Him [to perceive, recognize, understand,
and become better acquainted with Him]: if we keep (bear in
mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts,
commandments). Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive,
recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but
fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a
liar, and the Truth [of the Gospel] is not in him. But he who
keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts,
who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the
love of and for God been perfected (completed, reached
maturity). By this we may perceive (know, recognize, and be
sure) that we are in Him: Whoever says he abides in Him
ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the
same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

Anyone who goes a step further to communicate

Christ - His mind, His heart and His lifestyle - is a
minister of the new covenant of truth. Many preach
from the Bible but do not see, nor do they preach
Christ. They preach economic philosophies, Old
Testament laws, and plain earthly principles they lift
from the Bible to promote other men's egos or their
pecuniary (i.e., relating to or consisting of monetary)
gains. They are not able ministers of the New
Testament because they are unable to unwrap and
reveal Jesus Christ - His passion and His life.

This is how Satan gains access into the Church to

form legalistic, humanistic, materialistic and worldly
denominations, professing a Christ they do not
express. Many shout Christ, grace, truth or holiness
to the high heavens. They even take it upon
themselves to condemn others to hell as they please.
Yet on closer look, the Christ they claim to teach is
missing from their heart, character and if they search
deeper, even from their hateful and prideful
thoughts. Others want to sugar-coat the gospel and
paint Christ as a sugar daddy or Father Christmas,
thus undermining the holiness and justice of God,
which are inalienable to His character. We are called
to be salt not sugar.

2 Corinthians 3:3-6 (AMP)

You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ
delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of
[the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of
human hearts. Such is the reliance and confidence that we have
through Christ toward and with reference to God. Not that we
are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form
personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming
from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from
God. [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit
and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a
new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of
the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code
[of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.

Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his
wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not
the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth
glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I
am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and
righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith
the Lord.

SUMMARY

These are a few ways in which Truth is expressed in

scriptures.

1. Truth is Christ; therefore, gaining and growing in

the image and characteristics of Christ is the life we
are to walk in.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free.

Many claim to know truth, yet they lack the true

Knowledge of Christ - how He lived as a man -
neither are they in hot pursuit of His lifestyle. This is
why heaven mourns when a generation of professing
Christians waste their precious time seeking the
lesser material and temporal glories of man. There is
too much to discover about Christ, and if we had
five lifetimes of one hundred years each, we still
cannot uncover this Christ, who is the brightness of
God’s glory.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

2. When truth is spoken in love, it results in Christ

being formed in God’s people. If the objective of
our preaching is not that Christ be formed in the
lives of our hearers, we are not sharing truth but
fables, lies and philosophies of man.

Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ.

2 Timothy 4:2-4
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove,
rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; 4 AND THEY SHALL TURN
AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH,
AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES.

3. Walking in truth, therefore, is walking in the light

of God’s will. It is knowing that Christ is light
because to walk in Christ is to walk in light.

John 3:21
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may
be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Ephesians 5:8-11
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit
is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving
what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove
them.

4. Walking in truth is the worship that God requires.

It is esteeming the seeking and doing of God’s will
as supreme. It is questing wholeheartedly to do
God’s will through the help of His Spirit.

John 4:23-24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers
shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father
seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they
that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

5. When truth or Christ is known, sought and lived,

we overcome the bondage of sin. It sets us free to
live a holy life through grace, empowered by the
Holy Spirit.
John 8:29-36
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me
alone; for I do always those things that please him. 30 As he
spake these words, many believed on him. 31 Then said Jesus
to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were
never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be
made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And
the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son
abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye
shall be free indeed.

2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this
seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every
one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

6. Walking in truth sanctifies us into the character of

Christ. God sent Jesus into this world to do His Will,
and Jesus is sending us to do likewise.

John 17:17-19
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As
thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them
into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that
they also might be sanctified through the truth.

John 6:38
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but
the will of him that sent me.
John 20:21
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my
Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

7. Walking in truth is walking in the obedience of

Christ or walking as Jesus walked. This is the true
prosperity of the Christian. When Christlikeness is
missing, rejoicing ought to turn into mourning and
travailing.

Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until
Christ be formed in you..

Ephesians 4:20-24
But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have
heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in
Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that
ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting
down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a
readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is
fulfilled.
Revelation 3:21-22
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my
throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the Churches.

One major caveat, though - know that your

adversary the devil will seek to juxtapose a false
image of Christ in the scriptures as you are
unwrapping them. Therefore, opening the gift of
scriptures to discern Christ must be done in deep
partnership and intimacy with the Holy Spirit. May I
add again that the prevailing demonic legislation
against those who profess Christ today is the subtle
deception projected so as to offer a false
representation and thus revelation of Christ -
producing another Jesus, another gospel, another
spirit.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for
Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall
be according to their works.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
HOW DOES JESUS LOVE HIS
CHURCH?
As we begin to conclude in shedding light on what
true Christianity is about, I want to share some very
profound yet usually overlooked nuggets from Christ
in scripture.

John 15:8-11
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall
ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I
loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my
commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept
my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These
things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in
you, and that your joy might be full.

Notice in the portion above that "...as the Father

hath loved me, so have I loved you." You may
wonder, what's here? Everything is in here!

In what way did the Father love Jesus, which our

Lord wanted to pass down - in like manner - to us?
Did Jesus receive unmerited mercy for sins? No!
Because He did not sin! Was Jesus materially rich?
No! So, what is this love of the Father about--this
love which is such a big deal and huge blessing as
Jesus sees it?

John 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is
that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my
Father, and I will love him, and will MANIFEST
MYSELF TO HIM.

The love of the Father and greatest mystery of

Christ's blessings to His people is the manifestation
of the reality of Christ in our lives. The restoration
of God’s image of holiness, love and wisdom in the
very fiber and fabric of MAN'S thoughts, feelings
and actions is the sanctification that God desired for
all men , even before the worlds were formed.
Meditate deeply on the scriptures below and ask the
Holy Spirit for more illumination.

Ephesians 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places
in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to
the good pleasure of his will...

Hebrews 12:7-11
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for
what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be
without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye
bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of
our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall
we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits,
and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after
their own pleasure; but he for our profit, THAT WE
MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS. 11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but
grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of
righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Hebrews 5:8-9
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things
which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the
author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him..

Romans 1:1-4
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,
separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised
afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his
Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of
David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of
God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the
resurrection from the dead.

Jesus Christ was "...declared to be the Son of God

with power, according to the spirit of holiness..."
This is the glory of God; the beauty beyond all
beauties; the power beyond all powers; the peace
beyond all forms of peace; the wisdom beyond all
kinds of wisdom. Imagine that God, whose Beauty is
described by His holiness, has given us Christ, to
show us what His holiness looks like. He has sent us
His Holy Spirit to empower us with grace to partake
or be transformed into this life and beauty of His.
Oh my! What a blessing! That God wants me
(ordinary me) to learn about His holiness and His
highest beauty and to partake of it is truly amazing.
This is too much, yet many see it as too little!

Psalms 29:2
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the
Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Psalms 96:9
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him,
all the earth.

Exodus 15:11
Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the God’s? Who is
like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing
wonders?

Many professing Christians are not yet aware of this

life. They've been subtly fooled into believing that
abundant life is about money and material things.
What a sad loss and shame! God wants to share his
holiness - the most beautiful of all beauties - with us.
Yet most of us disregard, undermine and undervalue
coveting this life: the hot chase to be filled and rich
in God’s holiness. We exchange God’s glory for
emptiness.

2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge
of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine
power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and
godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to
glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great
and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the
world through lust.

Think of the most beautiful things in the world -

landscapes, waterfalls, exotic mansions and cars,
private jets, etc. None compares with God’s beauty,
seen in His holiness. However, only the pure faith of
Christ can capture this truth. Imagine that the richest
capitalist in the world gives you his most beautiful
asset to freely enjoy - maybe a magnificent mansion.
This is still nothing compared to the beauty of God’s
holiness.

Psalms 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my
life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his
temple.

The subtlety of Satan against this Laodicean-age

Church is that most of the 'spiritual' guides of our
day do not see, nor do they rate, God’s holiness,
love, presence or voice for what it is. This is the
shallowness of today's materialistic Church, who no
longer hide their desperation for what Gentiles are
pursuing. This is the core reason for the emptiness
which fills the pulpits of our time. This is an era in
which the teachings and philosophies of capitalism
and humanism are given a biblical face, ignorantly
and oftentimes deceptively attempting to mimic
godliness.

I consider this malady of Christianity today a serious

reason to mourn unto the Lord, and I sincerely pray
that this blindness will be divinely healed because of
God’s sovereign compassion.

Matthew 15:8-9
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and
honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Colossians 2:6-10
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk
ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in
the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with
thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through
philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the
rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him
dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are
complete in him, which is the head of all principality and
power..

Imagine hearing clearly from God, not the gimmicks

and guesswork that most of us play or offer (which
is usually a cheap counterfeit of God’s true voice). Is
God’s voice worth a chase? Is the value of hearing
from God worth more of a chase than the manner in
which we go after material things? Today, most of
the preachers want us to believe that the quest for
earthly grandeur is a greater object of our affection
and thirst than the desire for God’s glory. In fact,
many have arrogantly changed God’s glory into the
glory of men. How sad!

Jeremiah 2:11-13
Hath a nation changed their God’s, which are yet no God’s?
but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not
profit. 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be
horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. 13 For my
people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the
fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken
cisterns, that can hold no water.

Luke 4:5-8 (AMP)

Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed
Him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of
time [in the twinkling of an eye]. And he said to Him, To
You I will give all this power and authority and their glory
(all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and
grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to
whomever I will. Therefore if You will do homage to and
worship me [just once], it shall all be Yours. And Jesus
replied to him, Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall
do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only
shall you serve.

Most of us rate acquiring the benefits of man-made

capitalism, such as college degrees, money and
earthly magnificence, far above the true hunger and
thirst to enjoy God’s holiness and God’s glory. This
is one sure pointer to the gross blindness and deadly
spiritual leanness in today's Church.

Many think that Christianity is about how Jesus died

so that we can be rich and all that, so they heap for
themselves prophets to tell them highfalutin lies of a
false humanistic greatness: a greatness which in
Christ can only be found through death to self or
flesh life, and a servanthood or subservience to all
men. In truth, Christianity means that Jesus died so
that we may also die, so as to allow His life to
germinate and flourish in and through us. For unless
a seed falls to the ground and dies, there shall not
spring forth the true life of Christ - that life which is
a consequence of forsaking our selfish and fleshly
wills for the reign of God’s will.

Psalms 106:13-15
They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: 14
But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in
the desert. 15 And he gave them their request; but sent
leanness into their soul.

John 12:24-26
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into
the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth
forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and
he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life
eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where
I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him
will my Father honour.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15(AMP)
For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us,
because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died
for all, then all died; And He died for all, so that all those
who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and
for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.

Our generation has underrated the true riches of

God, which are revealed ONLY in Christ. This is the
same story of Israel under Moses: they preferred the
land flowing with milk and honey more than the
pursuit of the glory of God. They heaped up for
themselves teachers to scratch their itchy ears. They
wanted to eat their cake and have it by claiming they
were after God when in fact, they really just needed
God to bless their selfish goals and passions. This is
the main reason for all these feel-good, hyper grace
messages, which blindly lure many into a perditious
pit, whilst making them feel safe and secure in the
spiritual quicksand of their selfish and fleshly
passions.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

They fooled themselves into thinking that they loved

God, yet in truth, they loved the things they could
get from God much more than they loved to get the
holiness of God; the voice of God; the presence of
God. What blindness is this? We live in an era where
all these, and more, have been deposited freely in
Christ for us to discover, pursue and enjoy.

Hebrews 1:1-3
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in
time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these
last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed
heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who
being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his
person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right
hand of the Majesty on high;

Listen to Jesus again in the text below:

John 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me
alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Jesus was excited about the presence of God with

Him. Oh! May God open our eyes to see and know.
He said, "...because I please God by living to do His
will, He has blessed me with His Presence…" Is this
what excites this generation of Christians? Is it not
an open sore which is unseen by the blind, when
most of our ministers are falling over each other to
dispense more blessings of earthly grandeur,
greatness and benefits at the expense of the glory of
God? The other day, a minister said to me, "...but I
preach about the holiness of God and so on, once in
a while..." I simply retorted, "I wish you well." One
day, God’s true servants will realize that the whole
essence of preaching is to partake of and lead men to
the face or image of Christ, who is the image and
glory of God.
Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth shall be filled with THE KNOWLEDGE
OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD, as the waters cover
the sea.

Corinthians 4:5-6
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus 'sake. 6 For God, who
commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in
our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of god
in the face of Jesus Christ.

JESUS IS THE GLORY OF GOD. Gaining Christ

or winning Christ means becoming more like Jesus.
This is the most rewarding endeavor any human
being can undertake and the wealthiest acquisition
anyone can have. It may or may not amount to
incredible amounts of dollars and sterling on earth,
but it will amount to the true eternal blessing of God
gained through Christlikeness. God does not lie.
Christlikeness is the highest purpose of mankind. It
represents the pursuit of the true glory of God, for
which all things work for the good of those pursuing
Christ. This is the highest reach of our faith,
incomparably higher than the quest for earthly
wealth or comforts.

Romans 8:28-29
And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his
purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate TO BE CONFORMED TO THE
IMAGE OF HIS SON, that he might be the firstborn
among many brethren.
CHAPTER TWELVE
HOW DO CHRIST-FOCUSED
BELIEVERS PRAY?
Jude 1:3-5
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the
common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you,
and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith
which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are
certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained
to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our
God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and
our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once
knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of
the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

What kind of expectations and testimonies did they

celebrate in the early Church, as this forms an
indicator as to whether or not our priorities are the
same or misplaced?

Let us evaluate this by looking at the predominant

prayers which made rounds at that time.

When Paul heard that in Ephesus, there were those

seeking truth in Christ, he prayed by the Spirit for:
• deep revelation of the knowledge of Jesus Christ;
• the hope of our calling of which inheritance is
reserved in heaven for us;
• the power of divine enablement available to deliver
us from sin and empower us to live right (Rom 8:
11).

Ephesians 1:15-21
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus,
and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for
you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto
you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that
ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the
riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And
what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us- ward who
believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the
dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly
places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might,
and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this
world, but also in that which is to come.

As Paul sought to establish the Ephesians in truth,

he again prayed that:
• they received divine spiritual strength to be
Christlike;
• to be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ,
and
• grow up into the full stature of Christ by the same
power that raised Jesus from the dead.

Ephesians 3:14-21
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and
earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the
riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit
in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by
faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be
able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and
length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of
Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with
all the fullness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that
worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the Church by Christ
Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

When Paul heard of the pursuit of truth amongst the

Philippians, he prayed that:
• their love would multiply continually in spiritual
knowledge and judgment;
• they would attest to and celebrate excellent things
which glorify God;
• their heart would be sincere and without grudge or
sinful passions until Christ comes;
• they would produce bountiful harvests of the fruit
of righteousness which Jesus produced.

Philippians 1:9-11
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and
more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may
approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and
without offence till the day of Christ; 11 Being filled with the
fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the
glory and praise of God.

He again prayed that God would preserve his

testimony so that everyone would see Christ in him,
whether in life or if death came knocking, because
true godliness is a metamorphosis into Christlikeness
.

When Paul heard about the conversion of the

Colossians, he prayed and desired that:
• they be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in
all spiritual understanding;
• they received grace to walk in truth or in a manner
that pleased God and produced real fruit of
godliness;
• they received grace to be strong in adversities and
temptations so as to honor God in their bodies.

Colossians 1:3-12
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, praying always for you, 4 Since we heard of your faith
in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye
heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which is
come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth
fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and
knew the grace of God in truth...9 For this cause we also,
since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to
desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in
all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might
walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in
every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power,
unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving
thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be
partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light..

To the Thessalonians, Paul prayed night and day

that:
• their faith would be developed and matured as they
increased in love toward one another and all men;
• their holiness would be matured by pure love in
their hearts;
• they would receive grace to live lives set apart as
living sacrifices unto God, evidenced in their faith,
pure conscience and holy lifestyles.

He prayed also that:

• they would walk in obedience and fulfill God’s will,
bringing the Lord pleasure;
• people who saw them would see Christ and thus
glorify the name of the Lord Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 3:10-13
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your
face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus
Christ, direct our way unto you. 12 And the Lord make you
to increase and abound in love one toward another, and
toward all men, even as we do toward you: 13 To the end he
may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God,
even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with
all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray
God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would
count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure
of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye
in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus
Christ.

What about Peter’s prayers? Some of his prayers are

so short, yet so poignant.

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.
Amen

One of the surest ways to examine whether or not

our hearts are pursuing the right things is to
compare our prayer lives with the Lord's Prayer.
This is a clear spiritual litmus test to measure our
expectations and cravings with God's and ascertain
where our treasure really is. Our prayer life is actually
a spiritual barometer showing how tuned into God
or away from Him we are.

Matthew 6:9-15
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy
will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day
our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But
if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.

Did you notice the emphasis on prayer being about

bringing honor to God’s name, seeking the
enthroning of God’s kingdom, seeking grace to do
God’s will perfectly, trusting God for daily material
provisions, seeking forgiveness from our sins
conditioned on our forgiving others, seeking divine
guidance against temptations, and seeking divine
deliverance from anything that offends God?

Where did the church miss it? Many of us have

strayed so far away from the Father’s heart, and we
need to return to Him. Our pursuits are no longer
the pursuits of Christ and our interests are certainly
not the Lord’s interests. Asking, seeking and
knocking at God’s heart is primarily the means
through which real saints quest for grace - to know,
do and preach Christ - who is God’s will.

Need I continue? Are these the predominant prayers

of today's Church? Is a majority of the church still in
the faith? Are you still in the faith?

James 4:2-4
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot
obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses,
know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with
God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the
enemy of God.

May God help us retrace our steps. Amen.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
THE MOST EXPENSIVE
COMMODITY ON EARTH
Do you know that a man’s soul is the singular most
valuable or most expensive asset on earth? Do you
that that ALL the money owned by the top 1000
richest people who ever lived fades in value when
compared to any one single soul? Why then do those
who profess godliness invest so heavily in material
benefits at the expense of a diligently beautified soul,
purified in Christlikeness?

Mark 8:36-38
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole
world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be
ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful
generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Do you know that a person’s soul can be

impoverished through fleshly lusts? How then can
we celebrate material acquisition, when fleshly lusts
reign unabated in the Church?

1 Peter 2:11
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.

Do you know that buying into false doctrines can

impoverish a person’s soul? How can we then rejoice
at temporal material benefits, when false doctrines
are placated and given free access in today's Church?

Acts 15:24
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out
from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls,
saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we
gave no such commandment.

2 Timothy 2:11-14
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall
also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with
him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not,
yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14 Of these
things put them in remembrance, charging them before the
Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the
subverting of the hearers.

Do you know that a man's life does not consist of

the abundance of material things that he possesses,
and that the greatest and only everlasting asset which
he has now and in eternity is his soul? Why then do
we celebrate things that will not last over those that
are eternal?

Luke 12:13-21
And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my
brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. 14 And he
said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over
you? 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of
covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of
the things which he possesseth. 16 And he spake a parable
unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought
forth plentifully: 17 And he thought within himself, saying,
What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my
fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my
barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits
and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast
much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat,
drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool,
this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall
those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that
layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Did you know all the good health enjoyed by the

most medically developed communities on earth
means nothing when a soul leaves this earth through
death, yet is impoverished? Did you know that the
sickness of the soul is incomparably deadlier than
the sickness of the body? Why then is healing of the
body rated higher and pursued far more than the
healing of sinning souls?

Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to
kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both
soul and body in hell.
Did you know that physical healing which this Church era
craves, touts and celebrates so blindly, is valueless on the long
everlasting run, if the soul is not really rich and prosperous
towards God in obedience? So why then are temporal physical
benefits coveted and celebrated more than the prosperity of the
soul?

Mark 9:43-48
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to
enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell,
into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their
worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 45 And if thy
foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into
life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that
never shall be quenched: 46 Where their worm dieth not, and
the fire is not quenched. 47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck
it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God
with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The true riches which those possessing the mysteries

of life and eternity ought to be celebrating profusely
are the spiritual and eternal fruits of righteousness,
which we are progressively gaining and prospering
in.

2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are
temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Dear reader, the only time you have to beautify and

enrich your soul is NOW! Tomorrow may never
come. Even if it does, use today and tomorrow as
your allies to build your vast heavenly treasures by
seeking for God’s strength to live as Jesus did. If
God said we can, THEN WE CAN! Just as
capitalists spend their whole life and energies seeking
gain on earth, child of God, let us spend ours in the
hot pursuit of metamorphosis into Christ.
Remember that if we successfully embrace and
express the mind of Christ, we shall share in His
everlasting Glory.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 (AMP)

The saying is sure and worthy of confidence: If we have died
with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall
also reign with Him. If we deny and disown and reject Him,
He will also deny and disown and reject us. If we are faithless
[do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true
(faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He
cannot deny Himself.

Many do not really believe in God’s message of

eternity. They pay lip service to it. If they did believe
and if their eyes of faith were open to catch a
glimpse of eternity, their passions and pursuits
would radically change. I pray that God Almighty
will impart you deep within with His true revelation
of Christ and move you to set your affections on
things above. We are all moving at the edge of
eternity and can be tipped over at any time.
Preparing man for a glorious eternity is the main
reason why Jesus came. Wouldn't you rather spend
forever extremely rich?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
LAST WORD
DEAR FRIEND, JUST LIKE THE APOSTLES
OF OLD ALWAYS DID, I ASK YOU TODAY
TO EXAMINE YOURSELF. Are you in the faith?
Have you wholeheartedly given yourself to the
doctrine of Christ? Have you obtained the same
precious belief systems as Christ and His apostles?
This book is God’s avenue to show His love for you
and help you to be prepared for the soon coming of
Jesus Christ. Remember, even if Christ tarries, we're
all standing at the edge of eternity and can slip over
at any time. Embrace His gospel now; embrace Jesus
Christ in spirit and truth and let Him be formed in
you!

2 Corinthians 13:5-8 (AMP)

Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether
you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of
it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not
yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing
experience] that Jesus Christ is in you--unless you are
[counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? But I hope you
will recognize and know that we are not disapproved on trial
and rejected. But I pray to God that you may do nothing
wrong, not in order that we [our teaching] may appear to be
approved, but that you may continue doing right, [though] we
may seem to have failed and be unapproved. For we can do
nothing against the Truth [not serve any party or personal
interest], but only for the Truth [which is the Gospel].

2 Peter 1:1
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them
that have obtained like precious faith with us through the
righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:3-5 (AMP)

Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our
common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was
impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [you]
to contend for the faith which was once for all handed down to
the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief
which was delivered verbally to the holy people of God]. For
certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly
by a side door]. Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly
(impious, profane) persons who pervert the grace (the spiritual
blessing and favor) of our God into lawlessness and
wantonness and immorality, and disown and deny our sole
Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed
One). Now I want to remind you, though you were fully
informed once for all, that though the Lord [at one time]
delivered a people out of the land of Egypt, He subsequently
destroyed those [of them] who did not believe [who refused to
adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him].

Thanks for reading my free book. If it blesses you, I

ask you to please join this army of truth warriors to
confront the anti-Christ spirit, that same wicked and
subtle spirit which was also in the Garden of Eden,
wreaking seductive destruction against God’s
creation.

Download and email a copy of the free e-book to as

many people as possible and also share via social
networks. I would love to hear your honest
feedback, whether complimentary or critical.
May you be one of God's jewels being prepared as a
golden vessel and a glorious bride without spot and
wrinkle, for the KING OF GLORY.

Malachi 3:16-18
"Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another:
and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of
remembrance was written before him for them that feared the
Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be
mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my
jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son
that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between
the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God
and him that serveth him not".

Ephesians 5:25-27
"...even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for
it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a
glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish".

2 Corinthians 11:2-4
"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have
espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds
should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have
not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not
received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye
might well bear with him".
