A seasoned professional who has supervisory experience of managing QC Polymer


Laboratory, with excellent understanding & knowledge of Polymer products
(EVA/LDPE/EPR/PMMA/TPO/Nylon-6) analysis, related manufacturing process, process
intermediate streams, finish products and its specifications
Diverse knowledge of polymer products analysis techniques, Lab instruments &
standard procedures to develop methods and provide expert technical advice to
investigate & resolve analysis related problems.
Excellent knowledge of calibration and trouble shooting of advanced Polymer lab
equipment
Well versed with activities such as Capex, Opex budget planning, KPIs,
evaluate bids for technical acceptability of Lab equipment, planning of spares &
consumables, resources planning and training
Good knowledge of quality standards, audit methodology, budget planning &
procurement to procure modern lab equipment
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 17025 standards
Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with manufacturing and
other departments
Adequate knowledge of safety procedures to ensure safe, hazard free working in
compliance with company statutory environmental policies
Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise assigned personnel to manage day to day lab activities and
special samples analysis.
Provide expert technical advice to investigate and resolve analysis related
problems.
Ensure analyses are carried out in accordance with internationally accepted /
established test methods, result are accurate and properly interpreted.
Plan laboratory schedules effectively to meet deadlines.
Prepare technical reports on studies carried out in the Laboratory.
Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained in accordance with all relevant
procedures and standards.
Cover all routine functions of Section Head in his absence.
Support Section Head in preparation of capital expenditure, operating
expenditure budgets, KPIs, departmental business plan etc. based on laboratory
objectives and to ensure smooth running of laboratory.
Ensure all KPI's are met by efficient internal organization of resources.
Planning for the resources required for continuous operation of laboratory and
future requirements.
Technical evaluation for the procurement of new Lab equipment, planning of
spares and consumables.
Ensure laboratory operating expense budgets and procurement activities are met
and develop cost-improvement strategies.
Ensure the availability of chemicals, equipment, glassware and spares for the
Laboratory. Controls the inventory of such items and arranges timely replenishment.
Evaluate bids for technical acceptability of Lab. equipment, glassware and
chemicals.
Procuring Spares, Chemicals, glassware and maintaining required inventory
Identify training needs of lab personnel, prepare training plans, individual
development programs (IDP) for professional and nonprofessional lab employees to
enhance their efficiency.
Train, develop and monitor performance of Lab staff to build capabilities for
handling various analytical tasks and update them on the latest analytical
techniques.
Ensure effective implementation of IMS (ISO 9001/14001 & OHSAS 18001) in the
laboratory and contribute to the development, review/update as appropriate of
quality control policies and procedures.
Responsible for initiating corrective / preventive actions to eliminate
nonconformity to quality system.
Evaluate non-compliance reports submitted by auditors and generate reports for
corrective actions.
Ensure that all Laboratory personnel adhere to the policy of IMS

GMP, FDA & ISO

Review data relating to corrosion of materials, protective coatings and cathodic


protection.
Recommend the suitability of various materials for specific applications.
Review contractors procedures for the application and installation of protective
coatings and cathodic protection systems.
Coordinate with other departments in matters relating to corrosion and protection
of materials.
Review the activities of independent testing laboratory, corrosion or metallurgy.
Coordinate with quality control personnel in the areas of corrosion and materials.
Conduct inspection to determine the extent of corrosion and make recommendations
for corrective maintenance.
Prepare technical correspondence, reports and studies.
Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.

Responsibilities:
Drafting & creating process using Quality tools & techniques
Prepare, design, establish and elaborate implementation processes for
installation, commissioning, integration, acceptance and handover.
Plan and conduct activities related to the development of new processes.
Evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives.
Performing process characterization and optimization using designed experiments
and problem solving and decision making tools.
Document the processes for the Implementation Support Center in accordance with
QA requirements.
Determine quality improvement parameters to reduce cost and time.
Create and maintain process maps; review processes, identify gaps, provide
innovative solutions and influence process improvements.
Analyze data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process
capability analysis tests.
Review, update and adapt the processes with all divisions and related internal
and external departments of the project.
Processing of administrative relevant Acceptance Test items (announcement of
Acceptance Test to customer, etc.) until the issuance of the
Acceptance Certificate from customer.
Clarify and Coordinate the interfaces with other internal and external partners.
Plan, prepare and submit deliverable to customer.
