Aims: to check understanding of previous lesson (future tenses- willvs be going to)
Materials: textbook
Procedure:
T announces the topic of the lesson and asks Ss to name the parts of the body they already know
(hair, eyes, ears, etc.) and to use them in short descriptions of their class-mates.
Aims:
- to introduce and practise vocabulary related to the human body
- to practise speaking and listening skills
Organisation: whole class
Materials: blackboard, poster
Procedure:
-SS are asked to look at the poster, listen and repeat the body parts the T shows them
- Ss ,then, write them in their notebooks
- T asks students to play the game Simon says together to practise body parts vocabulary
Activity 4 Interaction: T-S, S-T Timing 7
Aims:
- to practise body parts vocabulary and be able to use it in sentences of their own.
Procedure:
- T gives them the small pieces of paper with puzzles, asks them to look at the poster on
the board and solve the puzzle. Then , for checking purposes, Ss are asked to come to the
blackboard and write the words in the puzzle.
- Next T asks S to stick the correct post- it in the correct place on the poster.
Aims:
-to practise reading and writing skills
-to revise vocabulary related to clothes
Organisation: individual work, pair-work
Materials: textbook, worksheets
Procedure:
- T asks Ss to solve ex. 2b /76 from their textbooks-they have to write sentences with body
parts and clothes-individual work
- Next Ss are asked to read the descriptions of different body parts and match the
descriptions with the pictures- worksheet-pair work
Activity 6 Interaction: T-S, S-T Timing 5
Aims:
Procedure :
-Ss are asked to listen to the song while reading the song lyrics in the slide in order to get used to
the tune and lyrics
-Then they are asked to sing the son along with the tape.(as a variation I could divide the class
into three groups )
Homework Timing 5
- T asks Ss to look at the screen and read the three descriptions of the monsters
- T asks SS to do draw a similar monster at home and write its description
