d) describing how people can serve the community, state, and
nation.
Activity -The students will all receive a person of interest to do their
project on from the list of George Washington; Thomas
Jefferson; Abraham Lincoln; Rosa Parks; Thurgood Marshall;
Martin Luther King, Jr.; and Cesar Chavez. All of the work for
this project will be done in the classroom.
-The students will each draw a piece of paper out of the cup
with a person of interest written on it.
-The students will then be shown how to make a presentation
using Prezi by the teacher.
-The students will be given plenty of in class time to do
research about their person, including trips to the library to
find a book source and to be shown by the librarian how to cite
their source.
-The teacher will assist students with writing citations, and
finding sources.
-The students will then make their Prezis including pages for
the persons life, what they are known for, a fun fact about the
person, and citations.
-The teacher will check in with students as they create their
Prezis and help with technical work if need be.
-After completing the creating portion of the Prezi project the
students will each present their Prezi about their person of
Pedagogy

interest to their peers and teacher in class.
