Outcomes
By the end of the term, students should be able to:
1. Locate Fiction, Non Fiction or Junior Fiction texts in the library
2. Identify if a text is Fiction, Non Fiction or Junior Fiction by the spine label
3. Understand the Authors last name is identified by the three letters on the spine
label
4. Identify the features of a Fiction, Non Fiction or Junior Fiction text
5. Understand that Fiction books are arranged in alphabetical order, Non Fiction books
are arranged by subject using numerical order
6. know how to access OLIVER library enquiry
7. Use keywords to search for and locate texts
8. Create kite for 5 Lands Walk beach installation which reflects an aspect of the
Copacabana community.
9. Demonstrate an understanding of the concept in History - Continuity and change -
changes and continuities in family life and the local community over time.

Success Criteria Program was partly implemented by casual teacher due to absence of 3
weeks due to broken arm.
Students have gained a good understanding of the purpose of spine labels and have become
familiarised with the location of various sections within the library.
Kites for 5 Lands Walk beach installation took longer than expected. Students needed
teacher assistance in tying knots to complete kite tales.
