1 Introduction
1.1 Problem Statement

Touchscreen panel is provided on customer table

with a wireless transmitter. Computer display in Kitchen will have a

wireless receiver. Orders placed from customer will be displayed on
Computer.

1.2 Aim & Objectives

Many times in hotel we have to wait for a waiter to give our order for
food. This creates problem when there is rush in hotel especially in
festival seasons and generally on weekends. Main intention of our project
is to avoid such problems and to give solutions to such problems. In this
project a Touchscreen panel will placed on every table. Whenever
customers come to their table then they will select the desired order
menus from the touchscreen. At this time information will be sent to the
kitchen of the hotel. All this information will be displayed on a computer
display. For this purpose we have used a wireless RF transmitter at the
customer table side. And wireless RF receiver at the kitchen side. So
orders will be directly sent to the kitchen and users dont have to wait for
the waiter. and then the chief will deliver the desired meal through the
conveyor Belt working by the beside of Table.

1.3 Literature Survey

Competition in the food service segment is also becoming increasingly

fierce as restaurants look to attract diners from other types of
restaurants in order to increase their own traffic. Competitors who have
not kept up through menu innovation or by offering new services have
felt the strongest pressure competitively. Restaurants that demonstrate
innovation and creativity to improve convenience and service will be
those that achieve differentiation from competitors. Moreover, those
restaurants that are able to provide new concepts that can appeal to a
wider variety of customers will also realize increased returns.

Automated Electronic Menu System

Some students from Stanford University had designed a screen based

menu system which they called Automated Electronic Menu System.
This system is pretty similar to the online shopping systems used in most
commercial web sites. It has a shopping cart function. The customer can
browse through a graphical menu with several options, such as topping or
sauce, and the nutritional information for each dish. The customers can
add the items they like to the shopping cart and, like shopping sites, be
able to check the cart at anytime and check out after decided.
Moreover, it has aCall Waiter button for shortening the waiting time for
the waiter.

2 Methodology

Design

For conveyor Belt

PLC: A PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC) is an industrial

computer control system that continuously monitors the state of input

devices and makes decisions based upon a custom program to control the

state of output devices.

Stepper motors: These are a type of electric motor that can be accurately
controlled with the controller and are used for the 3d movement of extruder i.e

along x y z direction in a controlled and measured way.

Stepper drivers: These are chips that act as a middle-man between stepper
motors and controller as it simplify the signal that is to be sent to the motors.

4 Conclusion
In this project we have implemented a very
reliable and efficient system for workers management in the restaurants.
This project provides simple and user friendly way for ordering the food
in the restaurants, other than being simple and user friendly it also
reduces the man power upto certain extent.
The design system provides a low cost convenient and easy to use system
for order placement in restaurants. Now a days due to advancement of
technology people are familiar with touch screen interface it is easily
accessible by user to navigate by simply touching the display screen .By
using this system restaurants staff co-operates more efficiently and the
chances of error are reduced since the system is itself a machine.
Conveyor belt will minimize the time error and provide the easy service
