1. Project Detail View Area: Shows Project Details of the current Project
2. Bill of Quantity Detail View and Work Area: used to show and construct all categories, work
items types of work and subcontracted types of works in a project type
3. Bill of Quantity View Changing Area: used to change pages either between bill of quantity work
area, material list and labor requirement or between different types of projects

How to
How to Login
Initiate the software.
The software check if the user name and password is correct and log you in
select New
Enter user name, password, Display Name, select role(Administrator or Limited User) and select
OK
The software will display an appropriate message and create the new account.

The software will display an appropriate message and delete the account.
Enter old password, new password, repeat new password and select ok.
The software will show the next page of Project Setup" Wizard
Select Add to add project types, enter project type names, locations and quantity. and select finish
The Software will prepare the "Project" Window for work items to be entered according to project
types
The software will Close the Project and the project will no longer be editable

The software will copy the Project and open the project window for use

If specific project types is selected, check on project types you want to export and select whether to
include material list, labor requirements, cost ratio analysis and cost break down.

How to Calculate unit Costs based on selected cost categories and cost items for
the whole project (Filter out some cost components)
On Project window select settings and select Project settings
To exclude cost categories, check on the cost categories that you want to exclude. Ex. Check on Material
and all material costs will be excluded
To exclude cost items, expand the cost categories by selecting the + sign and check on a cost item that you
want to exclude. Ex. Check on Water and water costs will be excluded
select New
Select materials and select > arrow to add the selected materials to the new type of work
Select labor types and select > arrow to add the selected labor types to the new type of work
Select machines/equipments and select > arrow to add the selected machines/equipments to the new
type of work
Select pre made mixratios and select > arrow to add the selected mixratios to the new type of work
On materials in type of work enter the quantity needed of that material per unit type of work
On labors in type of work enter the utility factor and quantity needed of that labor per unit type of work.

And enter hours taken for a unit out put per gang
On machines/equipments in type of work enter the machine hour needed of that machine per unit type
of work
On Mixratios in type of work enter the quantity needed of that of that pre made mixratio per unit type of

Glossary
Project Type: In a specific project (Contract), there may be different types of constructions (Ex. A One
bedroom house, two three bedroom houses and a road that will connect the house to the main road).
A project type is sub project within the parent project(Contract) holding only one the group
construction(Eg. Two three bedroom houses).
Category: is the highest container of work items and types of works with in a specific project type. (Ex.
Super Structure, Sub Structure)
Work Item: is a container below a category that holds types of works and subcontracted types of works.
(Ex. Concrete Work)
Type of Work: is a collection of materials, Labor Types, Machineries, Overhead and miscellaneous cost
and profit cost bound together by a formula that defines the smallest component in a project type. )
Subcontracted Type of work: are types of works that the contractor subcontracts to other companies.
Subcontracted types of works only contain Description, Unit, Unit Price, and Quantity.
Mix Ratio: are systematic calculation of quantities of material based on only ratios and densities of the
component materials.
Notifications: are any significant changes that are stored to inform the administrators
Limited User: is a user with only specific privileges. A limited user cannot see other users projects,
cannot delete anything from library and so on.
