Wentworth's core purpose and mission is to
empower, inspire and innovate through
experiential learning (Mission, Vision & Values, n.d.).
Wentworths vision for the future is to become
nationally recognized as the university of choice for
externally-collaborative, project-based,
interdisciplinary learning (Mission, Vision & Values, n.d.).

At Wentworth, our core values reect that we are


student-centered, that we are passionate for real-life,
hands-on teaching and learning, and that innovation
and creativity are at the center of what we do. We
express these three core values as Students rst The
world is our classroom Thinking without a box (Mission,
Vision & Values, n.d.).

This is what we know, Students that come to
Wentworth, they are going to develop all of the
professional skills they need. They are going to get good
jobs. They are going to know how to do their jobs. But
we also need to make sure they are graduating as
citizens of the world. And that they are able to engage in
conversations, handle conict, and serve us proud in
every aspect of their lives. Thats where student aairs
come in (personal communication, October 3, 2016).
The Division of Student Aairs is committed
to the holistic education of students through
intentional interactions and learning
experiences that develop engaged citizens
and dedicated professionals who contribute
to their communities (Student Aairs, n.d.).
Student Aairs at Wentworth has a focus of
always putting students rst.

This is depicted in the divisions vision
