El reloj de tu computadora puede diferir desde unos segundos hasta unos minutos
respecto de la hora correcta. En consecuencia, Windows 7 incluye un programador de
sincronizacin de hora para ajustar tu reloj en forma automtica, que est ubicado en la
pestaa Hora de Internet, dentro de las Configuraciones de fecha y hora. El intervalo
predeterminado para este proceso es una semana (604,800 segundos). No hay forma de
cambiar este intervalo a travs de la interfaz de usuario. Debe hacerse utilizando el
editor de registro (regedit).

Pasos
Abre la Sincronizacin de hora desde Internet. Para hacerlo, abre las Configuraciones
de fecha y hora. Puedes hacerlo a travs del Panel de control, o haciendo clic en la
hora de la barra de tareas, luego haciendo clic en "Ajustar fecha y hora", luego
haciendo clic en la pestaa "Hora de Internet".

1. Verifica que la computadora est configurada para sincronizarse automticamente.

2 Abre el Editor de registro. Existen varias formas de hacer esto, elige la que te resulte
ms conveniente. Si te aparece un dilogo de Control de cuentas de usuario, haz clic
en S.

o Presiona la tecla del logo de Windows y R. Esto har que se abra el dilogo de
Ejecutar. Luego escribe regedit y haz clic en Aceptar.
o Como alternativa, puedes abrir el men Inicio y escribir "regedit" en el cuadro
de bsqueda. Haz clic en el programa regedit para abrirlo.

Dirgete hacia la ubicacin

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\W32Time\TimeProviders\
NtpClient. All, simplemente haz clic en las flechas que estn junto a los conos de
carpeta para navegar por las carpetas correctas. Posiblemente debas desplazarte un
poco con la barra hasta poder alcanzar la clave SYSTEM.

Haz clic derecho en la clave SpecialPollInterval, luego selecciona Modificar.

Convierte tu tiempo deseado en segundos. Puedes hacer esto rpidamente utilizando

Google o un sitio web como Easysurf.

Haz clic en Decimal. Luego, ingresa tu intervalo en segundos (sin utilizar puntos), y
luego haz clic en Aceptar.

Cierra el Editor de registro.

 Abre las Configuraciones de fecha y hora. Haz clic en Hora de Internet, selecciona
Cambiar configuracin, y luego Actualizar ahora. Esto sincronizar inmediatamente tu
reloj. Haz clic en Aceptar para cerrar el dilogo.

Confirma que tu nuevo intervalo de sincronizacin funcione correctamente. Si es as,

la prxima hora de sincronizacin debera ser exactamente un intervalo despus de la
hora que sincronizaste.

Consejos
Un plazo de un da, por lo general, para la mayora de los usuarios es suficiente. Sin
embargo, si necesitas contar con una hora precisa, un intervalo de una hora sera
apropiado.
Si ests interesado en conocer cmo funciona esto, investiga acerca de "Network Time
Protocol" (Protocolo de tiempo de red).
Si tu computadora no se sincroniza en el momento indicado, posiblemente sea
necesario que le digas al Servicio de tiempo que utilice la configuracin

Advertencias
Ten presente que sincronizar la hora demora varios segundos. As que, no hagas que el
intervalo sea de un segundo. Esto provocar una carga innecesaria en tu computadora,
ya que constantemente estar ejecutando el programa de sincronizacin.
W32Time: Windows Time Service

The mode that Windows Time uses

{ed:by default?} to send requests is set by the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProvi
ders\NtpServer

If the value of the Enabled entry in this subkey is 1, Windows Time uses symmetric
active mode. Otherwise, Windows Time uses client mode.

To set the NTP servers used by the time service, type the following at the command
prompt:

w32tm /config "/manualpeerlist:NTP_server,mode" /syncfromflags:MANUAL

net stop w32time
net start w32time
w32tm /resync
Check the System event log for error messages.

Where "NTP_servers,mode" is the name of the NTP server seperated with a comma
from the mode used to contact that server. Multiple server,mode pairs can be listed,
seperated by a space. For example: "time.windows.com,0x1 time-
b.timefreq.bldrdoc.gov,0x8 time.nist.gov,0x2 tick.usno.navy.mil,0x2".
This string is stored in the registry at ..\W32Time\Parameters\NtpServer (not under
"TimeProviders" as one might expect.)

The valid settings for the mode used with the /manualpeerlist switch include the
following: ^

0x01 - use special poll interval set in registry at

..\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient\SpecialPollInterval which must
be a DWORD value in seconds. 900 decimal (every 15 minutes) is recommend.
0x02 - Use this time source only as a fallback. If all time sources that are not
fallbacks have failed, then the system selects one fallback time source at random
and uses it.
 0x04 - send request as SymmetricActive mode. This mode is supported by
Windows servers, but may not be supported by servers running other operating

0x08 - send request as Client mode {ed: using the settings from
\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient\?}

The /syncfromflags:MANUAL flag in the W32TM command above specifies that the
list of NTP servers provided should be used as a time source. This is appropriate for a
standalone server or the main controller in a local domain. All other servers should be
set to /syncfromflags:DOMHIER which causes the system to sync from the domain
controller. This setting is stored at ..\W32Time\Parameters\Type and has the
following possible values: ^

NoSync Does not synchronize time.

NTP Synchronizes time to the time sources specified in the Parameters\NtpServer
entry. This is /syncfromflags:MANUAL
Nt5DS Synchronizes time to the domain hierarchy. i.e.
/syncfromflags:DOMHIER
AllSync Uses all synchronization mechanisms available.
