ARTICLES ASSESSMENT INDICATORS

There are three main aspects of article assessment, namely: articles structure,
language, and contents. Each aspect includes several indicators as follows.

Indicators assessment for articles structure (30 %)

1. Title (simple, specific, easy to understand)
2. Identity (authors name, institution, e-mail address)
3. Abstract (rational, objectives, methods, results)
4. Introduction (background, theories, objectives, significance)
5. Materilas and Methods (description of materials and methods used)
6. Results (description of results: it can be qualitative or quantitative)
7. Discussion (description of meaning of result, relating result and theory)
8. Conclusion (the achievement of objectives)
9. References (up date, relevances, consistency of writing)

Indicators assessment for language (30 %)

1. Diction (appropriate used of words)
2. Sentences (tense, subject verb agreement, the use of to be or auxiliaries verb,
clause)
3. Paragraphs (topic sentence, supporting sentences)
4. Communicative (easy to understand)

Indicators assessment for contents (40 %)

1. Concept definition
2. Description or explanation
3. Name of substances or equipments
4. Reaction equations
5. Chemical formula
6. Chemical reactions
7. Number and unit
