The plants machinery and equipment are controlled by PLC
systems adapted to the size and configuration of the supplied
system.

With a starting point in standard software, we design a safe

and flexible processing system that meets the requirements of
the individual client.

Cimbrias Turnkey contracts include PLC and SCADA for

process control and electrical panel installations such as main
distribution panels (MDP), power-factor correction panels and
motor starter panels (MCC). Our in-house electrical engineers
not only have expertise in the complete design and execution
of electrical facilities and process control, but are also able to
adapt and design systems with new or existing machinery.

SCADA SYSTEM
FOR OPERATING AND MONITORING
The SCADA system is tailor-made for operation, monitoring and
providing alerts, and it can be controlled and managed by the
operator from one or several locations. To secure daily operation,
all routes and operations are saved and stored and can be easily
accessed.
The SCADA system can be supplied for all applications and
ensures optimum supervisory control and data acquisition
Our preferred system is WinCC from Siemens: a powerful, user-
friendly, high performance PC based Human-Machine Interface
(HMI) together with Microsoft Windows.

The plant will be controlled by the operator from one or more

operator stations, touch screens, etc., with a tailor-made system
for operating, monitoring and providing alerts. Status for all
machines is displayed directly by a colour change on each
machine symbol.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

DATA ACQUISITION
Cimbria ensures it remains at the cutting edge of data acquisiton
by providing computer systems which, in conjunction with
weighing machines and SCADA systems, can log, store and
process data concerning material transactions to and from
storage facilities, as well as additions and partitioning during the
production process.

TRACEABILITY
Grain represents great value, and therefore traceability is
becoming increasingly important. A well-tested and stable
database system is normally built in Microsoft SQL. Logging is
typically done using a barcode system, but other systems such as
RFID systems are also available.

SERVICE PLANNER
To minimise the risk of breakdowns and plant
downtime, operating statistics on each machine
can be set and monitored, thus enabling scheduled
service and preventive maintenance to be
carried out in a timely fashion.

TRAINING
As part of our dedication to continuous improvement, we
have established Cimbria testing and training centres for the
education, instruction and training of all personnel who will
subsequently be working with our systems on a daily basis.

At the training centres, we hold both general courses and

individually designed courses that are customised with regard
to quality personnel for the commissioning, operation and
maintenance of systems.

DOCUMENTATION
Every single system is unique, and hence is delivered with
specially adapted technical documentation that contains
a complete installation manual with detailed instructions
concerning its operation and a detailed maintenance guide.
As a supplement to personal advice, the manual offers rapid
clarifications of possible questions, while at the same time
ensuring proper operation. We always maintain complete
documentation for each individual system.
