negative questions, you answer them positively looking and finding the
positive point in that qs. Be very confident and cool. Think that you know
the answer, but unable to express. So in that case you will get enough
courage to answer will be upto your trying level. I think if they will feel

1. Tell me about yourself.

Ans: I am Padman, recently working in NetHawk Network India Pvt Ltd,


Bhubaneswar as a Software Engineer since April-2005.

NetHawk Networks India Pvt. Ltd, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India (www.nethawk.fi) is


the one of the largest R&D center of NetHawk Oyj, Finland world's leading
manufacturers of analysers and simulators for telecommunications networks. It
provides the most powerful and scalable tools for testing in all stages of the network
life cycle product EAST (Environment for Automated System Testing) and M5
Nework Analyzer.

My objective is to make a challenging career in Software Engineering and to work in


a progressive environment that would help in enhancing the existing skills to reach
the pinnacle of success in the IT industry. I did my B LEVEL Degree , From DOEACC,
Newdelhi in 2004. I graduated from………..in 199… and did my schooling
from………….

2. What do you know about our organization?

Ans: Refer to website and prepare your ans. Talk about products, services, history
and people, especially any friends that work there.

At last add one sentence: - “But I would love to know more, particularly from your
point of view. Do we have time to cover that now?”

I’ve researched the company and I feel it’s a good place to work.”

3. What experience do you have?

Ans: Keep your Resume in front of you. Looking at it, tell about your total
experience and total no of projects . Concentrate on the details of your work, means
about how many months u worked in each project, what is the project about, and
what is ur role and responsibilities in each project.
At last you make a question to him: “Are you looking for overall experience or
experience in some specific area of special interest?”

4. Had you thought of leaving your present position before? If yes,


what do you think held you there?/ Reason to change the present
job-

Ans: Here I got nearly 3 yrs experience in Software Development (Telecom &
Services) and Protocol Testing in areas pertaining to C++ and Communication
Networks. I worked using C++ in Windows and Linux platform. I was involved in
implementation of Sigtran protocol stack in EAST simulator. I got the knowledge of
automated testing tools – EAST, and Regrassion and load Test cases creation for
Sigtran protocol stack testing using EAST.

”I’m not unhappy. But, this opportunity seems to be particularly interesting. I am


eager to take on more challenges.

After all I want to be more efficient professionally. Your job will provide me the
opportunity to work with C language as well as I will get the chance to know about
the Real Switch for testing the Network Life Cycle. That will enhance my capability
in my profession.

5. What are your strengths?

Ans: Hardworking and sincerity and ability to work not only for individual excellence
but also for team ability to achieve excellence are my strengths.

6. What is your weakness?

Ans: Sometimes I feel impatient if I realize that I can do much more in the situation.
In some cases It really becomes difficult for me to work with dead lines if I see
work can be done better. That time I give stress to me a lot.

7. In your current or last position, what features did you like most?

Ans: Don’t be negative.

I like everything about my current position and have acquired and developed a
great many skills, but I’m now ready for a new set of challenges and greater
responsibilities.

8. How long would it take you to make a meaningful contribution to


our firm?

Ans: Not long, because of my experience, transferable skills and ability to learn.

9. How long would you stay with us?


Ans: As long as I feel that I’m contributing, and that my contribution is recognized.
I’m looking to make a long term commitment.

10. Give examples of your leadership abilities.

Ans: If you have, then give a particular situation, or think that you have played a
role of a leader. How you handled it. Otherwise tell that I have not got any chance
to play such role but If that chance will be given to me, the certainly I will be
happy. Because, my people also like and respect me personally and professionally.
And also I want to grow and develop professionally, and I want to help others
develop. I want to build a team and to share what I have learned.

Ans: If that chance will be given to me, the certainly I will be happy. Because, my

13. What do you see as the most difficult task in being a


supervisor/ Team lead?

Dealing with different team mates having different personalities , getting things
planned, implementation of this plan through others.

14. Describe what would be an ideal working environment?

Team work is the key.

15. What kinds of people do you find difficult to work with?

The only people I have trouble with are those who aren’t team players, who just
don’t perform, who complain constantly.

16. What kind of hours are you used to working?

Ans: As many hours as it takes to get the job done.

17. How do you handle rejection?

Ans: Rejection is part of business. I see rejection as an opportunity and a good


teacher.

18. Why should we hire you?


Ans: Tell your your skills, abilities and qualifications and their requirements and how
can you fulfill their requirements.

19. How much do you expect if we offer this position to you?

Ans: If you don’t know the market value, tell the ans I would expect a fair salary
based on the job responsibilities, your experience and skills and the market value of
