Great Advice
EMBROIDERING THE NOSE
Noses are often worked in satin
stitch, where lots of straight
stitches are made closely together
to form a solid area. Thread your
needle with Raspberry Pink and
stitch a line at a time next to the
one just worked, being careful not
to pull too tightly

Irene Strange's six cheeky monkeys use

only three simple stitches between them
so if you're new to toy making, they are a
good place to start. If you are making these
for a baby, choose high-contrast colours
which will grab their attention. Crafting
them for yourself? Add a bit of craft wire to
the arms and legs to make them poseable.
