RE: Child Death Investigation

On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Midland Police Officers were called
to the MidMichigan Medical Center Midland reference a 20 month-old female child Midland
resident with injuries. Officers made contact with medical staff and learned the child was being
transferred to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw due to the severity of her injuries. Officers have
now learned the child had passed away on Friday evening, October 27, 2017. At this time
MPDs thoughts are with the family.

This incident remains under investigation and MPD is seeking any information pertaining to this
incident.
