 ELECTRICITY
What should a YooMart 2 employee do in case if there is no electricity in the Store?

As soon as you notice that there is no power in the office, inform Stephen # 0542118655;
0246195304; Sheriff 0233045558; If neither of the technicians and store manager are around call
Anton on 0204050956. In the situation where all the above-mentioned employees are not around
YOU should deal with the problem yourself following the instructions below.

Yoo Mart employees actions in case of a power cut:

a. Check if the BIG generator is functioning (listen if the generator makes any noise).

i. If it does not work (silent):

1. Check the generator fuel level. Get the key to the generator fuel tank from the security
post. Open main Door of the Generator where control board. Go to the engine menu by
pushing arrow button and check % of fuel in the tank. If the fuel is below 20% go to the
RED tank at the left side of the Generator open valve # 1 and valve; open back generator
door and open the 2nd valve on the pipe which comes from the RED tank. Go monitor
fuel level at the dash board. Once level is close to 100% close both valves and press
AUTO button on the control panel. The generator works on diesel fuel.
2. If the fuel level is over the minimum level, open the front door, press the AUTO button
on generators control panel, and wait for the start. Then call Anton on 0204050956.
3. If it did not start after AUTO button activation, press the green button and wait for the
machine to start. Call Anton on 0204050956.
4. If Anton does not pick up his calls, and you have pressed the green button already, do
not take further steps and call NESSTRA. Speak to Mrs. Ann # 0540107639 and ask the
Service Team to come over. In parallel to your actions, please email
ann.dybro@nesstraghana.com explaining the problem and copying Anton on that email.
5. Upon Nesstra teams arrival, find out from them what the reason of the fault was and
write it down in the Generator Faults Register Book. The Nesstra representative will give
you the Service Report. Pass it to Stephen.
6. Enjoy the electricity!

ii. The generator is working, but no power present :

1. Stephen, Sheriff, Meshak to go to the control room to identify a possible fault of ATS.
Call Anton on 0204050956 if Stephen is not around.
2. If Sheriff; Stephen; Meshak are absent / do not pick up their calls your steps should be
as follows:
a. Go to the Store manager office and collect SOS Card to open Distribution room.
b. Go to Security Post, get Generator key; Open the main door of 2nd Generator, push
green button twice to start Generator;

 Once 2nd Generator is working, ON the breaker under the control board; OFF 1st Generator by pushing
RED button on a control board.

i. Go back to the Main Control room and turn the handle on the DB1 board clock wise on Small
generator sign;

b. Small Generator is NOT STARTING.

i. Go back to Main Control room; Check if there is ECG power by looking at the screen of the
Main ECG meter.

ii. If you cant see lights on the screen check if the main breaker is ON by operating OFF/ON the
Knob.
iii. Once you see lights on the screen put the handle on BYPASS board to by pass position.

What should a YooMart employee do in case there is no water?

1. As soon as you notice that there is no water in the Kitchen; washrooms; Showers; WC, inform
Stephen # 0542118655; 0246195304; Sheriff 0233045558. If neither Stephen; Sheriff is around, call
Anton on 0204050956. In the situation where all the above-mentioned employees are not around
YOU should deal with the problem yourself following the instructions below.

2. Yoo Mart employees actions in case of no water flow WC; Shower; washbasins:

2.1. Check the level of water in the water tanks 1,2 (# 1 is close to the Generator)
2.2. If water level is low and there is no water flowing from Ghana Water Company line into the 1st
tank.
2.3. Check the valve at the back of Continental shop. (Yoo Marl line valve shall be open)

2.4. If the Valve is open but GW is not coming to Tank # 1 you have to call Water supply truck

2.5. Call correct plumbing to check the line: Michael Asare PM # 0203116924; 0574430179; Sandra

3. There is enough water in the Tanks #1 & 2 but water is not flowing:
3.1. Check if there is enough water in the Tank # 3
3.2. If the level of water in the Tank #3 is low, go to the Distribution board, which is located
next to the Staff entrance door and check the breaker in DB1 board marked Pump 1.

 3.2.1. If breaker is On but water is still not coming in to the tank # 3 Open BY PASS line
behind Tank # 3 Ghana Water shall start coming into the tank directly; call Correct

3.3. If Water level in tank # 3 is high, but water is not flowing:

3.3.1.Go to the Distribution board, which is located next to the Staff entrance door and
check the breaker in DB1 board marked Pump 2. If breaker is On but water is still not
coming call Correct plumbing Michael Asare PM # 0203116924; 0574430179; Sandra
Maintenance; 0204338001;

4. There is enough water in the kitchen

4.1. Check if there is enough water in the small tank # 4 under the stair case going to locker rooms;
If there is enough water check if the pump adjacent the tank, is working by listening to the
sound from it.

4.2. If the pump is silent and Tank has enough water: Go to the Distribution board, which is located
next to the staff entrance door and check if the breaker on DB1 marked Pump 4 is ON

4.3. If small tank is empty: : Go to the Distribution board, which is located next to the staff
entrance door and check if the breaker on DB1 marked Pump 3 is ON

4.4. If Breakers are ON but water is not coming neither to the small tank nor to the kitchen: You
have to open By Pass line which is located at the stair case going to the locker rooms and call

What should a YooMart employee do in case there is fire outbreak?

Yoo Mart employees actions in case of fire outbreak

1. As soon as you notice that, there is fire outbreak. Sound the fire alarm by breaking the glass in
front of the alarm. Call the fire service emergency line # 192; # 0299340487; Call Anton #

2. Take the nearest fire extinguisher and start extinguish the fire.
3. Inform the Customer Service about the fire;
4. Customer service shall calmly inform customer and staff about the fire by public
announcement system and to direct them to the exits.
5. All staff members and customers are to be directed to the fire assembling point which is
located at the car park close to Honda fence;

COLD ROOMS AND REFREGIRATORS

What should a YooMart employee do in case temperature is high?

1. As soon as you notice that, there is a problem (temperature is above +5 for positive cabinets and
cold rooms and above -10) for Negative with refrigerators or cold rooms, inform Sheriff
0233045558; Vitalina 0542118655; Stephen # 0246195304; Anton # 0204050956 about it. In the
situation where not all the above-mentioned employees are around YOU should call Celtic Cooling:
Prosper # 0540122608; 0544356467; Raphael # 0544356466; and deal with the problem yourself
following the instructions below.

2. Yoo Mart employees actions in case of problem with Trade cabinet or Cold-room

2.1. You need to move items from the problematic fridge into the other one, which is
working well.
NB: items from positive display or cold-room can be removed only to positive one; Items
from Negative cold room can be removed only to negative one. Unless the other
instruction is given by the Manager.
2.2. If there is no vacant cold-room where you can relocate frozen items: Call Mohamed

If the septic tanks are full and above mentioned problems appeared you have to call Septic suction
team:
