product can bring you contentment.
The Road blocker machine widely used in highway toll station, checkpoints, prison, airports,government agencies,
embassy,military bases, customs, bank, industrial and mining enterprises, port, warehouse, parking lot and all places
need to limit vehicles and control vehicle access. Operator on duty issue instruction through the control system.
Hydraulic transmission quick lift the road blocker devices to let the vehicle passed. Then the inductance detection

automatically instruct the road blocker device or a manual button,remote control quick lift road blocker machine to
achieve the purpose of controlling lanes, door release or closed and effectively prevent vehicle from forcedly passing
through the checkpoint.
The product use the hydraulic drive technology to intercept . Load-bearing, anti-collision compatibility is strong.
Operation is easy and flexible. A lot of advantages,such as hydraulic transmission,movement smooth, fast,low noise,
high traffic capacity , safe and reliable, strong carrying capacity, steady lifting,etc.
Road blocker with parking barrier gate, smart card charging management system and access control attendance
system compose a perfect crossing management system( can be added according to user`s requirement)
SAFETY TIPS
This product only used in some specified places.If used in some places not explicitly stately, it will cause damage
or maybe dangerous.
If damage dues to incorrect use or use frequency in excess of prescribed scope, Bolan Security is not liable
It cannot be installed near the flammable(explosive) gas. The gas has certain danger to the road blocker.
If don't comply with the installation matters when install SST-ZM series product and its corresponding
accessories,which cause deformation consequence, we don't be responsible for that.
Must comply with the current effective regulations of installing location.Do attachment on the system, you must
first cut off the power supply. Be sure to make the equipment grounding.
Unable to do any change on the automatic system. Installation personnel must give necessary support and
training to user in technology,including manual operation in an emergency.
When the road blocker is moving or rising, people don't allowed to approaching it. User is prohibited by any
means for maintenance. You must contact with qualified maintenance personnel.
Any item has not been made clear in use manual is not allowed.
1. Overview
1) Road blocker system component
Embedded road blocker equipment is mainly composed of road block machine, hydraulic transmission station,
electric control parts, total three parts
1.1road blocker machine
The road blocker machine is mainly composed of turn swivel or lifting body,housing base(anti-collision spike can
be added according to your client`s requirement). The machine is made of steel,16mm international standard A3
carbon steel and the channel steel welded together,which has a high strength of bearing load and anti-collision. There
is no electrical appliances and line setup inside the base housing. It is anti-proof and safe. The device is embedded in
the driveway or the specified location of the gate.The personnel on duty will control the road blocker to limit the
vehicle access
1.2Hydraulic transmission station

Hydraulic station composed of oil tank, the manual oil pump, a full range of hydraulic solenoid valve group, the
high power motor, oil pump,oil cylinder,oil gauge, high pressure hydraulic oil pipe and so on. It is the power source of a
full set of road blocker system.The station is installed at the side of road blocker and work together with the road
blocker( Can adjust the up and down speed through control valve).When power outrage, you can manually drop the
blocker down and rise the blocker up.
1.3Electronic control system
Automatic electronic control system parts: PLC control board,leakage switch, no exposure to noise high life
contactor and other precise time-starting device( prevent the impact of the oil cylinder in place after movement and
increase the service life of it)
Automatic controller: control box, remote controller,manual button. Those are controlled by the personnel on duty.
2) Dimension
Road Blocker is for two kinds: with spike or without spike. And dimensions is customized, standard dimension is
3000* 760* 920mm, length is customized from 2000mm to 6000mm; rising height is 450mm, its customized from
450mm to 800mm.

2. Working principle
1) Road blocker machine
Road blocker machine is composed of fame, drop-leaf, hydraulic cylinder, transmit mechanism. Drop-leaf
connect with housing through two set of rotating shaft. Respectively, the lower and upper of the hydraulic cylinder
connected together through a axis of rotation between the frame and the drop-leaf.

2) Hydraulic system
Hydraulic system is composed of drive motor, hydraulic oil pump,combination solenoids, manual control valve,
pressure gauge.
3) Rising and falling
The input of rising and falling: road blocker machine up and down command control input interface.
Ascending, descending in precise time is adjustable: according the precise in place time, it can avoid the impact of
the oil cylinder stroke after in place,which increase the service life of the oil cylinder.
Rising relay,falling solenoid: the switch between the road blocker solenoid of hydraulic pump and motor realize the
up, stop and down function of the road blocker. The regulating valve adjust the speed of rising and falling.
4) Function Introduction
4.1 Strong and durable structure, high load bearing, movement smooth, low noise, fast speed, long service life.
4.2 Adopting PLC control, system operation is stable and performance is reliable., easy to integrate
4.3 Supporting the gang control with parking barrier or other equipment. It can also work with other access
control system to make it automatic control
4.4Adopting the advanced hydraulic drive technology. The whole system is high security, reliability, and stability.
4.5Manual hydraulic system meet the requirement of fire management (optional)

In the case of power failure or malfunction, if a road blocker in a rising state need to drop down, you can close the
rising road blocker drop-leaf back to horizontal position by hand through the hydraulic pump and let the vehicle
access.
In the case of power failure or malfunction, if a road blocker in closing state need to rise up, you can rise up it by hand
through the hydraulic pump and prevent the vehicle access forcibly.
4.6Automatic hydraulic system

Remote control device: Through wireless remote control, it can control the rising and falling of road blocker within
the scope of 30meters around the controller.
Manual button device: the manual switch button in the security room control the rising and falling of the
corresponding road blocker.
4.7According to the user requirement, we can add following functions:

Card-swiping control: add card reader. It can control the rising and falling of the road blocker automatically by
swiping card.
Parking barrier and road blocker gang control: add parking barrier/ access control system to realize the gang
control function of parking barrier, access control system and road blocker,

Connection with computer management system or charging system: Controlled by a computer after connected
with a management system and charging system.
4.8 Convenient to maintain: when of structural failure or machine maintenance, you can loose the screw on the
cover and take off the 16mm cover plate for corresponding operation.
5) Product Feature
5.1 Quite and fast
The lifting time is up to 3-6s(configurable), far outweigh the road blocker machine of the same specification of
other manufactures. It is extremely rare. It adopts the hydraulic drive. Its movement is soft and quite,which just solve
the problem of big noise of traditional pneumatic lifting pump.
5.2 control of agile
Control unit adopts PLC programmable controller,which can be a variety of different function models to meet
the different needs of different users on function. In addition, its movement stroke is debug timing design. The user
can freely adjust the height of the cover plate,effectively saving energy .
5.3 Unique structure
The core part of its unique design for the hydraulic unit and mechanical power can effectively pass the
mechanical energy to hydraulic drive unitwhich is efficient.
5.4 Safety and reliability
Power failure or other emergencies, you can manually descent the cover plate of the road blocker to leave a
clear channel letting the vehicle access,which is stable and reliable.
5.5 Economic
Its hydraulic transmission mode, environmental protection and energy saving,low consumption,lower failure
rate,longer service life reduced the maintenance costs. In addition, the installation and maintenance is more
convenient and quicker by using untraditional mechanism design.

3. Installation Instruction
1) The amount of wire
1.1 At first, embedded the road blocker body in the position where it should be installed(vehicle entrance and
exit). Pay attention to that the embedded road blocker with ground is level(height 760mm). The distance between the
roadblocks and two road side is suggested to be within 1.5m
1.2 We should confirm the position of the road blocker,hydraulic station and the control box before piping layout

and wiring layout. Then we can know how long the pipe and wire we need:
a.The connection between the embedded road blocker and hydraulic station is 2*2cm oil pipe
b. There are two sets of wires connecting the hydraulic station and controller box.One is 4 0.5 ( signal control
wire),the other is 34 (motor control wire). The input voltage is 380V.
c. For manual button operation, you need to embed a set of wire 40.5 from the control box( manual control wire).
2) Layout
4. The construction diagram:
1) Foundation excavation
In the user-specified vehicle entrance and exit , dug a square groove (L 4000 mm * W1500 mm * D1000 mm ) to put
road blocker body in.(the size of the installation of a 3 m barricade machine size)
2) Drainage system
At the bottom of the groove, filled in concrete 240mm high. High accuracy requirement of horizontal( The bottom
of the road blocker machine can fully touch the surface of the concrete, so it can force the barrier body). Leaving a
small ditch(W150mm*D240mm) in the intermediate position of the lower part of the groove. Then embedded a PVC
pipe to drain.
3) Drainage methods

A, Adopting artificial drainage or electric pumping mode: Dig a little pool near the road blocker to manual and
electric discharge waters on a regular basis.
B, Adopting the natural drainage mode: Direct connection with sewers

5. Installation

1) Installation position
The road blocker should be installed on the user-specified vehicle entrance and exit. Hydraulic station ,according
to the actual situation of the scene, installed in the appropriate location for easy operation and maintenance, as far as
possible close to the road blocker(inside or outside of duty room ).Control box should be set in a place where is easy to
control and operate according to the customer request (Next to the work station of the personnel on duty).
2) Pipeline connection
2.1, Our factory is fitted with 5 meters of the hydraulic pressure pipeline, the exceeding part should be another
billing. After confirmed the installation position of road blocker and hydraulic station (can know how long the oil
pipeline),we need to excavate foundation.When the foundation excavation, we should take the terrain into
consideration to arrange the trend of the hydraulic oil pipe and control wire. We should ensure that pipeline is under
the condition of no damage to other underground facilities, then buried it safely.And make mark in the appropriate
location, to avoid damage of pipelines when other construction operations is implementing.
2.2groove size of the pipeline should be based on the specific terrain. Under normal circumstances, the embedded
depth of the hydraulic pipeline is 10 ~ 30 cm and width 15 cm , the embedded depth of wire is 5 ~ 15 cm, width is
about 5 cm.
2.3 Threading pipe(PVC pipe) should be added to protect the controlling wire, so is the oil pipe.
3) Machine running test
After finished connection of the hydraulic oil pipeline, sensors, control wire, we should recheck it again. If
everything is ok , carry on the following work:
3.1 Connect the three-phase wire 380 V with control box.
3.2 Start the motor idling, and check whether the motor rotation direction is correct, if not correct, please
change the three-phase connection wire. the next step after normal.
3.3 Add the hydraulic oil and check whether the oil level of oil level gauge is shown above the middle position
3.4 Start control button (remote control or button), to debug the switch of road blocker. When debugging,
switching time interval should be longer, and pay attention to the movement situation of the road blocker to check
whether it is normal.After repeated several times, observe whether the oil level on the hydraulic oil tank indicates in the
middle of the oil level gauge. If insufficient ,oil should go as soon as possible.
3.5 When debugging hydraulic system, you should pay attention,. during running test, to the oil pressure
gauge.(pressure should be less than 100)

4) The road blocker reinforcement
4.1 If the road blocker machine worked well, re-casting cement and concrete around the housing to reinforce
the road blocker.
6. Road blocker work with parking barrier gate
1) Vehicle entry
When there is a vehicle needs to entry, the security in the office press the release button. The parking barrier gate will
open(lift)and then road blocker will open(drop) to let the vehicle access. The vehicle go through the parking
barrier,road blocker and vehicle loop detector(system with loop processor) to the parking lot. After the detector signal,
the parking barrier gate closed and the road blocker up. If the system is without loop processor, after the vehicle
passed the parking barrier , and the road blocker, the security in the office press the button to close the parking
barrier and then rise up the road blocker.
2) Vehicle exit
When there is a vehicle needs to exit,the security in the office press the release button. The the parking barrier
open(lift) and then blocker will open (drop) to let the vehicle access. Vehicle go through the parking barrier ,road
blocker, and vehicle loop detector(system with loop processor) out of the parking lot. After the detector signal, the
parking barrier closed and the road blocker up.If the system is without loop processor, after the vehicle passed the
parking barrier, road blocker, the security in the office press the button to close the parking barrier and then rise up the
road blocker.
7. Only Road Blocker
1) Vehicle entry
When there is a vehicle needs to entry, the security in the office will press the release button to drop the road blocker
down and let the vehicle access. The vehicle pass through the road blocker and loop detector(system with loop
processor),. After the detector signal, the road blocker rise up automatically. If the system is without loop processor,
after the vehicle passed through, the security in the office should press to button to rise up the road blocker.
2) Vehicle exit
When there is a vehicle needs to exit, the security in the office ]will press the button to drop the road blocker down
and let the vehicle access. The vehicle pass through the road blocker and loop detector(system with loop processor).
After the detector signal, the road blocker rise up automatically. If the system is without loop processor, after the
vehicle passed through, the security in the office should press to button to rise up the road blocker.

8. Use and Maintenance
1) Daily use and maintenance
The daily use and maintenance of hydraulic road blocker divided into three parts: road blocker, hydraulic system,
control system.
Road blocker: clear retentate which exist beneath drop leaf. Unclog drainage pipe.
Hydraulic system: check the height of oil showed on oil level gauge and sign of pressure gauge.
Control system: Dust-proof and water-proof.
All those system should be kept clear and hygiene to prolong the service life.
2) 500 hours maintenance
21 Clear retentate and dirt of the whole road blocker.

22 Check and tighten bolts .
23 Check the pipe connecting and wiring.
3) One year maintenance
3.1 Renew the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic station.

3.2 Clean the hydraulic oil tank
3.3 Replace the oil suction filter
3.4 we suggest SHELL brand oil

For the fault that the users cannot ruled out, you should immediately contact with the after-sales service
department of our company to troubleshoot under the correct guidance. You cannot disassemble without
authorization, so as to avoid unnecessary loss.
