CHAPTER THREE

METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY

This chapter present the research method in the study, subject of the study, description of

research instrument, data gathering procedure, and statistical treatment applied utilized to enable

the reader to see how the study was conducted and how the conclusions are derived.

3.1 Research Design

The research will be exploiting the experimental method of research. As extensively

accepted, the experimental method of research describes how participants are allocated to

experimental group. A common method is completely randomized design, where participants are

assigned to group at random. Experimental research allows you to make inferences about the

relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. Experimental research also

reduces variability, to make it easier for you to fond differences in treatment outcomes.

Since this study is focuses on the rate of people that will choose between the original

sinigang sa sampalok and sinigang sa kamias, the experimental method is the most appropriate

method to use.

3.2 Population and Sample

The population consisted of thirty (30) respondents from Philippine Womens

University Sta. Cruz, Branch, both boys and girls. Random sampling was done to obtain

accurate data that is needed on the study.

3.3 Research Instrument

The questionnaire was the primary tool used in this study for it is a quick and efficient way

to obtain information from a number of respondents.

The questionnaire was composed of checklist, structure and closed- ended type of questions

to make answering easy for the respondents.

A covering letter was also included to inform the respondents about the study and into

indicate as well the confidentiality of the information that gave.
