WHAT THE WRITERS HAVE TO SAY about the 2011...............
Shows a good clip of oak, and seems more than a little
Penfoldian in its delivery, was my first impression. Plum, blackberry, dark chocolate and toasty oak, with a cool undertow of wet vintage mulch and spice adding complexity. Medium to full bodied, mocha and spice, with fine grained supple tannin and almost cool acidity driving it along. Blackcurrant sweetness and oyster sauce savouries, then a silky toasty finish of good length. Pretty bloody good, really. Gary Walsh Dec 14, 2014 93 + points
