Question # 1

Why do you think motivation is essential in learning?

Answers:

A. For the past years that Im teaching, I noticed that motivation is important in getting

students to engage in academic activities. It is also important in determining how much

students will learn from activities they perform.

B. Motivation directs behavior towards particular goals. It increases initiation of and

persistence in activities.

C. Virtually all students are motivated in one way or another. Some may be keenly

interested in classroom subject matter and seek out challenging course work, participate

actively in class discussions, and earn high marks on assigned projects.

D. Motivation is important because it is what causes the learners to actively look for

resources to guarantee their success.

E. Motivating students can be a difficult task. But then, motivated students are more excited

to learn. This makes motivation an essential in learning.

Sub-analysis:

All of the answers stated above are all right, to be very honest. Motivating the learners is

one of the important keys in the success of teaching. It plays a big role inside and outside the

classroom. It can also help the learners in a positive way in which the learners can apply up until

they become an adult.

Why do you think good teaching is democratic?

Answers:

A. I believe that good teaching attempts to create a democratic environment in which the

right of the individuals are respected.

B. We, teachers, think that each individual is entitled to equal rights with every other

individual in the class and that he is subject to the same rules with respect to equality as

other pupils.

C. In teaching, teachers must pay attention to the entire complex organism. In other words,

we should be concerned with the all-round development of the child.

D. A good teacher should have an equal outlook to all of his/her students. He/she should

respect the students beliefs and values.

E. It is the teachers responsibility to ensure that he/she treated her learners fairly and

equally, no matter their race, gender, age, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.

Promoting equality starts inside the classroom and is essential for both teachers and

learners.

Sub-analysis:

In the midst of analyzing their answers, it is obviously shown that a good teacher must be

a fair teacher. No bias and whatsoever. The learners should be treated equally for them to have a

positive outlook in life. It could be a big help for the learners in terms of in terms of dealing with

different people that they might encounter.


Question # 3

What do you think is the effective teaching strategy in teaching intermediate levels?

Answers:

A. I think it will be encouraging students to be an active participants inside and outside the

classroom.

B. I, as a grade 5 teacher, use the strategy in which I implement movement into all the

lessons. This way the students wont sit still throughout the discussion. It makes my class

less dull and more exciting.

C. I usually use the collaboration method. In which they are given opportunity to work with

their peers.

D. I always make sure that the students are comprehending the information. The last thing I

want do is to move forward with the lesson with some of my students still in question.

E. Whenever Im discussing, giving activities or examination, I constantly scan the

classroom. Making sure to constantly keep an eye in every learners. Not an easy task but

still an effective one.

Sub-analysis:

Being able to understand the lesson depends on how and which teaching strategy the

teacher will use. It can be a tough for the teachers to know which one is the most effective. But

being able to catch the attention of their learners will eventually sum up into good results. The

strategies that they mentioned are all based on what theyre doing inside the classroom in which

they think is an effective one. We, as a future educator will be dealing with learners in a daily

basis. It is important to these facts which already been tested inside the classroom.
Question # 4

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using modern technologies in teaching?

Answers:

A. The advantage is the learners are engaged in gaining more knowledge because of

additional information that are not found in their books. But at the same time the use of

modern tech also makes the learners to be lazy.

B. As for the advantage, it can be an applicable education. Teaching this skill in children

early will give them an advantage and a learning curve for hen they are adults. However,

it can also be an access to inappropriate content which should not be visible in the

learners eyes.

C. It can broaden the mind of the learners. Having access to the technology will expose the,

to things outside and help them to form their own opinion. But it can also lead into

cyberbullying trap which can cause serious matters on them.

D. The advantage of using modern technology is that it can bring some fun inside the

classroom. And the disadvantage is it can be a major distraction.

E. It can lessen the work of the students as well as the teachers especially in terms of

making projects and assignments. But it can also foster more cheating in class.

Sub-analysis:

Teaching and learning process these days made easy because of the modern technology.

It serves as a big help for us students and also for the teachers especially in making visual aids
for the learners. Lesson plans are also now in the form of downloadable files in which you can

access anywhere. It makes life easy, yes, however, there are also lots of disadvantages in which

causing the learners to be a lazy one. As said, it also serves as major distraction in learning.

Browsing the internet, social medias, online games, porn sites are all major distractions which

can led the learner into not-so-good environment. It is still have to be guided by elders and

teachers for them to know the limits of using modern technologies.


Question # 5

How can you modify the behavior of your learners?

Answers:

A. I used to observe my students first, mentally noting their attitudes. And when I noticed

something that is somewhat good, I help them to turn that attitude better in which the

hole class will benefit.

B. Usually I do the Dont accept excuses approach. Students who expect to fail are

difficult to motivate, so what I did is to talk to them calmly, patiently and directly.

C. Just be a keen observer. The followed by analyzation which will lead you into

conclusion.

D. Im using positive reinforcement. An example is when I give rewards to my students for

getting good grades with star stickers.

E. Like some other teachers, I also implement the prize incentive. This way my students are

motivated in a way that they will be aiming for a certain goal because there is an awaiting

prize at the end.

Sub-analysis:

Modifying is as hard as motivating. But both in different level. There are so many things

to consider before modifying the behavior of the learners. But nevertheless, it is a must for a

teacher to this task. Every teachers responsibility is to look after their students inside the

classroom. It is their job to mold and instill good behaviors and attitudes in them. this question

and the answers that they give are beneficial to the future teachers.
General Analysis:

These questionnaires and all of the answer of those have been a great help. It broaden my

knowledge about everything that concerns teaching. These answers are very adequate and

precise. It also serves as an overview on what should the future must weigh and do when they

reach the point of teaching. Being a teacher is not an easy task but it also gives an impression

that teachers are one of a kind.

Conclusion:

To be a great teacher requires being a good learner. In other words, in order to teach you

have to learn first. There are many scenarios that can happen when we are already teaching. It

can be a bad but it can be good also. What matter is how will we handle those kind of situations.

How can we apply the forewords from this interview. How can we form new tactics which will

eventually help us in teaching. Patience and willingness are the best combination in this field.

Most importantly is To teach with passion. Everything is useless if you dont love what you

are doing.
