BRIDGE - Fostering mutual understanding and cooperation of the EU

Overall objective(s): To contribute to the strategic objective of the EU
Objectives of the action cooperation with Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova (in continuation ENR partner
countries) within the ENP and with Russia in the frame of the Strategic
partnership (SP) cooperation.
Specific objective: 1) To analyse in the fields that are relevant for the Project the
so far realisation of the ENP policy towards the ENR countries and of the
Strategic Partnership between the EU and Russia; 2) To improve understanding
and raise awareness of citizens, especially young people, academic and civil
society in the ENR partner countries and Russia on the EU policies and in
particular on the ENP and on the SP with Russia; 3) To contribute to the
strengthening of cooperation and enhancing dialogue between different
stakeholders of the EU and the ENR partner countries and Russia concerning the
relevant topics of the ENP and of the EU`s SP with Russia; 4) To promote
democracy and local governance in the ENR partners countries; 5) To improve
understanding within the EU of the actual development problems and tendencies
in the ENR partner countries and Russia; 6) To disseminate information with the
objective to increase the knowledge on the Projects topics and to create an
atmosphere of support to the Projects` objectives in the ENR partner countries
and Russia; 7) To elaborate recommendations for future development of the
cooperation of the EU with the ENR partner countries and Russia in the fields of
the ENP and the SP with Russia.

migration and border management activities in the ENR partners countries and
Russia; 7) Enlarged cooperation will be build up between stakeholders on
Tempus, Erasmus Mundus and other EU programmes in the field of education,
culture and science towards ENR partners` countries and Russia; 8) Better
information and greater awareness of stakeholders on good governance, human
rights, minorities protection in the ENR partners` countries and Russia; 9)
Improved understanding of stakeholders in the EU of the actual development
problems and tendencies in the ENR partner countries and Russia; 10) Better
informed national governments and the relevant EU bodies on the view-points
and opinions of the civil society organisations and institutions in the ENR partner
countries, Russia and EU partner countries; 11) Better advised and informed
wider public in the ENR and EU partner countries and in Russia on the Projects`
topics.

Main activities 1) Data collecting and analyses of the so far realisation of the ENP policy and the
