1. Two single phase ideal voltage sources are connected by a line of impedance 1+j2.4. V 1= 240 V with
angle 14 degree, and V2= 250 V with angle zero degree. Find the complex power for each machine
(by approximate method and by exact method). Also, find the real and the reactive power loss in the
line. Is the approximate method is suitable for the described power systems.
