Procedure:
Ss watch a PPT to learn new vocabulary about food : ham, apple juice, soup, and revise the old one:
eggs, biscuits, ice cream,sandwich, cheese, milk. Ss learn the meaning of the new words and tell the
meaning of those they know.

-to introduce the notions of fruits and vegetables
-to color images according to instructions
-to group the images of fruit and of vegetables in two different bowls
-to consolidate vocabulary apple, pear, orange, banana, lemon
-to introduce new vocabulary fruits and vegetables, carrot, tomato, potato, plum

Procedure
1
Ss receive 2 different handouts, one with fruits images : apple, pear, orange, banana, lemon,plum and one
with vegetables,carrot, tomato, potato which they have to colour after specific instructions written on the
handouts. T sticks the picture of two bowls on the boar ,one dedicated to fruits and one to vegetables.
After that Ss are asked to cut the images and stick them accordingly on the bowls.

-to consolidate the vocabulary from the previous exercise
-to practice writing

Procedure:
Ss are given handouts with the vocabulary from the previous exercise which they have to spell next to the
matching image. Everything is corrected on the board with similar but bigger images
Activity 4
Time 12;
Aims:
-to introduce new vocabulary about food : ham, apple juice, soup
-to revise the old one: eggs, biscuits, ice cream,sandwich, cheese, milk.

Procedure:
Ss receive a handout with other types of food, mainly cooked food which must be numbered according to
written underneath
Activity 5
Time 14
Aims:
-to consolidate vocab from the previous exercise
-to number dishes after indications
-to color pictures
-to express preferences orally making sentences with :I like/ I dont like and by sticking a picture to a dust
bin or a bowl
Procedure:
Ss colour the food pictures, then they express their preferences with I like/I dont like, choosing from
what they have lastly coloured. The teacher sticks 2 images one with a dustbin representing what one does
not like and a dish representing what one does not like. Ss cut pictures and stick them to either the bin or
the bowl.
