1.
Indeed, some people who enjoy the blessing of modern technology may think
such development is nothing serious.
2.
They focus more on the potential benefits high-tech gizmos can bring to the
public rather than hidden risks.
3.
Yet, such opinion has overlooked the fundamental right for mankind, which is
to keep their privacy.
4.
Personally, I dare not say the so-called advantages necessarily outweigh the
disadvantages.

5.
It is commonly assumed that technology of such can give people a safer life.
6.
Given that with such technology, the public can be given awareness that they
are constantly being watched; ergo, potential offenders would think twice
before they attempt something illegal and this could hinder/suffocate potent
crimes.
7.
One fine example can be that in many supermarkets you would see signs
indicating that customers are under surveillance/being monitored.
8.
Researches have shown that supermarkets with signage alike have a much
lower rate of shoplifting than those without.

9.
Albeit cameras in supermarkets may have effects as mentioned above, it is
irrational to use that to eclipse/replace/ignore potential disadvantages that
come along and I argue that advantages does not necessarily outweigh
disadvantages.
10.
Above all, advantages of such development root in violation of basic human
right.
11.
Since technology of such has penetrated/prevailed every corner of peoples
life, it has taken away possibilities to protect privacy from average folks;
therefore, even if the development has promised the public certain
advantages, these advantages have to be questioned.
12.
It is reported that criminals can steal personal information simply by tapping
into victims mobile phone and cost huge loss, which can be a daunting
example.
13.
One common way to do this is by offering smart phone users convenient
applications through which they can be monitored constantly.

14. ?
Sufficed to say, if adopted and adapted properly, technology of such can be
used to bring some convenience to our life.
15.
Nonetheless, considering the very foundation of such approach is against
privacy, I dont think the advantages dwarfs disadvantages.
16.
Only if we can take specific circumstance into consideration, can we compare
advantages and disadvantages rationally.
