One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church

Why ONE??
- Source: Holy Trinity which is a perfect unison of the 3 divine persons (God
the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit)
- Jesus reconciled all mankind
- the Holy Spirit unites the people into ONE COMMUNION of Believers
(Guides the Church)

OTHER NOTES:
- United in our Creed, Teachers, Sacraments, etc
--> Ex. In our mass, even though you are in a different country, the same
flow will still happen.
- Continue to do the ONE mission of God = spread the Word of God

Why HOLY??
Christ sanctifies the Church, and the Church is the agent of
santification

The Lord is the source of all holiness and it is through Him that we
get our grace from (the priest is the direct successor of Christ and it is
through the sacrament that we receive the grace of God)
Each of us are called to HOLINESS through BAPTISM ---- we
receive the grace and by this grace we strive for holiness.
WE STRIVE TO BE HOLY IN PREPARATION FOR THE 2nd
COMING OF CHRIST
Church of Sinners yet we repent, we go back to the path of
holiness

Why CATHOLIC??
Catholic = universal (meaning)
The Church is indeed Catholic since Christ is universally present
in the Church and he left us with,
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"

Why APOSTOLIC??

- Christ founded the Church and entrusted his mission to the apostles
(first bishops)
St. Peter, first Pope and Bishop of Rome (Jesus to Peter) and this
title is handed down through the Sacrament of Holy Orders = APOSTOLIC
SUCCESSION
Deposit of Faith (SS and ST) was preserved, taught, and handed
on by the apostles.
