INTERN SPOTLIGHT NEWS AUGUST 2017-DECEMBER 2017
I wrote news stories assigned to me by my editor, helped manage
the back end of the newspapers website, copy-edited pieces for
publication and helped create calendar pieces to fit into the
entertainment section of the paper.
CONTRIBUTING EDITOR THE ODYSSEY ONLINE JULY 2017

I managed a team of 10 writers. I edited their weekly submissions
to fit AP style standards, gave writing tips and advice, helped three
other editors manage a team of 30 plus writers and saw that my
team meets deadline each week. I also coordinated coverage for
breaking news events around campus to see what writers should
cover which events.

I wrote occasional pieces about my struggles with mental health
and self-identification.

I wrote weekly posts for the This is College!? blog. My
responsibilities included recruiting writers, maintaining content
and interacting with the public. My own blog has been approved
as of September 2017 starting in December when I graduate.

I wrote weekly posts for Odyssey. I was on a team of ~30 writers.
My responsibilities included meeting deadlines, communicating
with editors and providing readable content.

I published three pieces in the ASP; two opinion and one hard
news. All three had to do with politics.
