Checkline II TopFix.
The Checkline II TopFix Lifeline System is packed with innovative new features for increased functionality and simpler
installation. The TopFix System manages dynamic loadings via an In-line Damper System (IDS) which absorbs dynamic
loadings and allows tension to be accurately measured during and after installation which is critical when installing on
fragile structures or over long spans.
A new and revolutionary CheckLine Ball Trolley (CLB) is available in a fixed or removable version and provides simple
and smooth transition through intermediate and corner brackets. The CLB is an ultra-compact, ball bearing design with
swivel handle which keeps the device close to the cable centre stopping twisting and ensuring seamless and smooth
bracket transitioning.
TopFix Base Plates are multi holed allowing installation directly to most roof structures. Intermediate and end posts have
patented rubber damper technology which also assists with dynamic loading. This innovative technology manages roof
thermal expansion and contraction ensuring the designed pretension is continuous.

Ferno believe the Hi-Safe CS1000 cable runner is the best and safest for
ascending and descending. Standard cable runners snag and hinder
movement forcing users to take a hand off the ladder to shunt the runner
along the cable creating a dangerous working at height scenario.
The cable runner can be removed from the cable allowing use on other ladder
systems but remains locked onto the system when the karabiner is in place.
The HS-CS1000 cable runner comes complete with a built in energy absorber

wind turbines, masts, high bay lift trucks, cranes or similar. A controlled rate descent device with a 15:1 geared recovery
mechanism provides lifting capabilities for either one or two person, self rescue evacuation. The standard kit is supplied with
50 metres of 11 mm kernmantle rope that conforms to Australian Standards, customised lengths up to 160 metres can be
supplied. Rate of descent: 0.8 m per second depending on operator competence and fitness. Each kit meets standards EN 341
Class A, EN 1496 Class A, ANSI Z359.4

ROOF SET UP EXAMPLES

Designing proprietary engineered fall protection systems is a calculated process and involves engineering databases that
provide vital information on applied forces to structures and components that make up the system.
Proprietary engineered systems are made up of individual components that are traceable to sample testing in
accordance to AS/NZS1891.2 and EN795C and as a complete system have a design database like the example shown to
establish the design limitations, forces and fall clearances involved in a given application.
