MEMO

Subject: Personal Brand Narrative

Per your request, I have constructed this memo to summarize my professional persona research
and personal findings. This information provides insight into internal and external thoughts
regarding my communication style and values. I discovered my people style after completing a
questionnaire, and compared my external findings through survey questions emailed to past
employers and peers. This document will give you the information to further your understanding
of the impressions I have formed throughout my college career. This memo covers common
themes I found through my research, internal and external disconnects, and the overall lesson
from the task.

Common Themes
I identified as an Expressive from the PeopleStyle Questionnaire. Animated, forceful,
opinionated, and impulsive are all characteristic descriptions of an expressive personality. I
surveyed five people, and there are many similarities between my personal findings and their
opinions. They all believe I demonstrate more energy, appears more fun-loving, and is faster
paced. The survey respondents also recognized me as an expressive. All five of my individual
responses acknowledged my values as detail-oriented, hardworking, and organized. These
values supported the three standards I strive to maintain. The survey responses also converged
with my one of my CultureMatch personality dimension results. I scored Very High in
Precision and Planning. Four out of five respondents ranked this area a ten out of ten. This
specific dimension rating summarizes I am happiest in a group that values a logical and careful
approach to work. Overall, there were many similarities between my self-evaluation and survey
results.

Internal and External Disconnects

Although there were many common themes shared through my own findings and survey results,
there were also disconnects. The CareerLeader CultureMatch identified my Innovation and
Change dimension as low. This area described me as closed off to new ideas and change.
However, the survey results differed. Three out of five respondents rated me an eight out of ten
for Innovation and Change. This dimension exemplifies an openness and willingness to embrace
change. Clearly, there are contrasts between the opinion of myself and outside opinions. It is
interesting to learn there is a wide ranged disconnect between my self perception and outside
opinions. Moving forward, I will acknowledge my willingness to innovate ideas and incorporate
them into my group settings and professional experiences.

Overall Lesson
The most important lesson I learned from this assignment is to trust myself and exert more
confidence. The disconnect regarding my Innovation and Change dimension demonstrates how I
am perceived against how I perceive myself. One survey result acknowledged my ability to get
things done. This statement directly coincides with specific descriptions of organizational
Innovation and Change culture. In my future team projects, I will acknowledge my innovation
abilities and rest assured when approached with change.

This memo covers common themes, internal and external disconnects, and the overall lesson I
learned from this assignment. I learned external peers and past employees believe I have an
expressive personality, which is congruent with my PeopleStyle evaluation. They also
recognized my openness to innovation and change, which disconnected with CultureMatch
results. I look forward to incorporating my discoveries in future collaborations. Thank you for
the opportunity to present this memo. Please feel free to contact me at
