Murata Components Library for AWR Microwave Office Install Manual

1. Introduction
This manual is for users of the design kit (the "library") that provides the parameters of Murata Manufacturing
Co., Ltd.("Murata").It describes the operations from library installation to using the library in the schematic
window.
Although operating the Library in accordance with this manual can basically perform the required operations,
some operations may differ partially depending on the environment used.
This manual is described based on the following environment. See the manuals for the PC, etc. used in the
actual environment.

Microwave Office : Version10.0

2. Download Murata Library


1 .Download Murata library from the following URL
http://www.murata.com/designlib/awr/index.html

2.Click the Down load bar and download the "library" (murata_liblary_mwo_v**.zip) to the arbitrary
file.(cf:C:temp)
* You shouldnt name the file in Japanese because the library might fail to work.
3. Installing Murata Library
Unzip the downloaded file to the arbitrary file (cf:C:temp).After unzipping, Murata folder will be made in
C:temp.
Move the unzipped files into MWO install folder (CProgramFilesAWRDE10Library) as following.( (If
the previous version is already installed, move the new Murata folder into them after delete the previous
Murata folder Murata .
Murata file in the Murata folder move into CProgram FilesAWRDE10models.
[Murata folder in C:temp move into install folder Library]
[murata.dllfile in Murata folder move into install folder models]

Open Lib.xml in Microwave Office folder/Library using a text editor such as NotePad and confirm the
following line shown in the second line from the bottom.
<FILE Name=Murata>Murataparts.xml</FILE>
If there is no this line, add it and save.(Restart MWO if it is already running).
If there is this line, you dont need change the lib.xml file.

4. Using Murata Library
Open Muarta category up in Element browser .There are two versions for part number , one for EIA and
the other is JIS. (the red flame in the figure below ),and you use one of them. (They are all the same
except part number in the Inductor one.)
Select the device to be simulated from the lower frame of the element browser and drag it to the
schematic.
