THE HAUGHTY CEDARS
“The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it”. Isa 35:2 Above
many Cedars of Lebanon is raising “The Haughty Cedar”. His
strength is not in his height, but in how deep are going his roots
in the ground. People are saying that “The Haughty Cedar” can
bow down to the ground without to break, and it goes back to its
straight position becoming even stronger than before. Today the
Lord is using Haughty Cedars to build remarkable churches.
The new birth in Christ represents only 5% and 95 % represents
the spiritual maturity growth. Heb 5:12-14 “For indeed
because of the time, you ought to be teachers, you have need
that one teach you again what are the first principles of the
oracles of God. And you have become in need of milk, and
not of solid food. For everyone partaking of milk is
unskillful in the Word of Righteousness, for he is an infant.
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, even
those who because of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good and evil”. Heb 6:1 “Therefore, having left
the discourse of the beginning of Christ, let us go on to full
growth”
Let’s review again the following words: “even those who
because of use have their senses exercised to discern both
good and evil” You cannot be like the old farmer who always
his testimony at the Thursday night prayer time was: “I don’t
make big improvements, but I thank God that I am steadfast”.
One spring when his tractor got stocked in the mud, the wheels
were spinning but without to move forward, it just happened
that his pastor was driving by, he dropped the window down
and smiling he told him: “brother, it looks like you don’t move
that much, but praise the Lord you are steadfast”. These are just
excuses of immaturity. My beloved brother, we must fight to
mature and grow in the Lord, “to the measure of the stature of
the fullness of Christ” (see Eph 4:12-15). Don’t waist your
time, avoid legalism as we are in the process “for the
perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ. And this until we all come
into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of
the fullness of Christ” Eph 4:12-13 Lord, help us!
After their own unlawful actions they put their victim into
prison! MANDYA DISTRICT Pastors Shanth Kumar and
Nagesh Kumar had organized a ‘Vacation Bible Class’ for
children and youth. At noon about 30 people from both the
BJP and the Bajrang Dal broke into the Class and caught
hold of the pastors and put them into prison without bail,
charges framed against them. They are still facing trial on
the basis of false accusations made by the attackers. (Love

KERALA. Love and greetings in the Highest Name of our
Lord Jesus Christ! On August 9th and 12th our team will visit
Orissa and on 13th to 15th we will visit churches and
orphanages at Andra Pradesh. Our team has 4 people from 4
states: I am from Kerala, Br. Amos from Tamilnad, Br.
Dake from Andra Pradesh and Prasanda Khilla from Orissa.
We have great expectation from God for a great revival
within churches through this short visit. We are hungry for
your precious prayers

MISSION IN AUSTRIA AND ROMANIA
(Continuation) By the grace of God, Wednesday May 19th
together with Dr. Tim Hill, Prim-Assistant of Dr. Raymond
Culpapper, the General Superintendent of Church of God, I
served in Bethany Church in Arad, Pastor Lutu Rivis
Tipei, the President of the Romanian Pentecostal Church of
God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was also on Thursday
night when I preached at Bethel Church in Oradea, Pastor
Liviu Apolozan.
On Friday we visited the Romanian Bible Society founded
by Br. Gabriel Fazacas also at Oradea, and Dr. Tim Hill

CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IN INDIA – STATE OF

KARNATAKA - CHICHMAGALUR, Two women pastors,
Kadur Devaki and Lalithama were conducting the regular

Sunday Service at Chichmagalur when extremists entered and
threatened everyone. Services were shut down and the victims –
not the violators – were immediately imprisoned. They now
face a trial on the basis of false charges being framed against
them. ANDHRA PRADESH STATE, HUBLI Edward Bellary
prays for the sick. He went with three ladies to pray for a sick
woman. After the prayer, when he was at home, 20 Bajrang Dal
people broke into his house and beat him up accusing him of
converting people to JESUS.
went to Perla. The Celebration continued on Saturday when
with many other guests and officials from Romania and abroad,
we participated at the dedication of the Chaplains’ Center from
Oradea. In the great Day of Pentecost, accompanied by my
dear wife Victorita, we glorified the Lord for the Work and the
Baptism in the Holy Sprit, at Good News Church from Ileana,
Salaj, Pastor Dan Paul. The Holy Spirit moved in a special
way bringing a true revival in this church, where I preached for
1.5 hours. On the afternoon we traveled to Tirgu Mures, where
at the Summer Theater we had an Evangelic Service,
celebrating the Pentecost. About 2,000 believers of four
denominations, they blessed and glorified the Baptizer with the
Holly Spirit and with Fire, our Lord Jesus Christ. Hearts were
touched by the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit. In Romania
we also celebrate the day after Pentecost, and we visited the
church at Nimigea de Sus, Bistrita-Nasaud, where we rejoiced
in the Lord for many hours, through the preaching of the Word
of God, prayers, revelation through the Holy Spirit, tears and
testimonies of our guests and our local brothers. Now they
build a new church and they need financial help.
The service in the morning was one hour longer, and after the
service we rushed to Rodna Veche (an over 2,500 year old
city). At 3:00 PM they started a baptism in water service. The
church was packed. The Holy Spirit touched many hearts
through songs and through the Word of God. The water of the
Somes River was cold and moving pretty fast, as the location
was only 16 Km from the origin of the river. I entered in the
water and I ministered together with Pastor Vasile Buia. It was
late, but the love of our brothers from Maieru brought us to
the third church service in that day. We arrived there at the end
of the service. But the Holy Spirit came upon us, touched and
searched our hearts, spoke to us and blessed us. This church also
is in construction and they need our financial support. After
we took some rest at Slanic Moldova we came back home in
USA.
ROMANIAN CHAPLAINS and the dedication of the
Medical Center On May 21st and 22nd a special celebration
took place in Oradea, Romania. The Chaplain Commission of
Church of God together with representatives of World Mission,
Nursing Division, Romanian leaders and many others dedicated
a project which they worked for seven years. This was the
biggest project of this Commission and the cost of this facility
was $1.5 Mil. This is more than bricks and mortar. Saturday
morning, May 22nd this facility was dedicated for the three
departments of this mission:
(1) A program of training for Chaplains, (2) A complete
equipped Medical Center for poor families from Romania,
(3) Volunteer Services and Goods distributed to Romanians
affected by calamities and crisis. My wish is that all of you
will visit and get involved in this mission. The financial support
came from some major donors, but also from hundreds of
people who faithfully gave $5 or $10 every week, showing that
“they care” for this project. This new complex receives already
support from organizations like Operation Compassion,
Samaritan’s Services (Germany) Assist International, and
others.
During this celebration we offered a class for chaplains to
around 50 people, represented by all types of chaplains from
Romania. Other classes for chaplains were offered in
Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungry and other countries
from Eastern Europe. This Center for Chaplains has the
residence of the administrator and also fully furnished
bedrooms for missioners that can host up to 16 people. The
first floor it is for the medical mission with ten beds,
medical equipment including an echograph, EKG,
instruments to measure the blood pressure and for
perfusions. Up to 125 people can be held in one class to be
trained as chaplains. Dr. Crick and Rev. Tom Offutt
which their great contributions for this project were
mentioned at a special dinner one night before the day of
the dedication participated at this event. Major donors
include: Lazarus Foundation, Dr. & Mrs. Gregory, the
Stratford Heights Church of God, from Middletown,
OH (Senior Pastors W.D. Watkins, and Roy Philips) and
donations received through World Missions of $50,000
from different churches and people from USA. (to be

CROVU, ODOBESTI, DIMBOVITA …I had a 20 year
old car. Due to damaged roads in Romania, to using the car
to bring many disabled people to the church, because of my
poor financial resources as I have to take care of my family
also and not doing the necessary maintenance, the car broke
mechanically. This was my only transportation option that I
had to cover the 80 km area of my ministry. The motor now
is broke. For one month now I am not able to answer to
the needs of the ministry when people are calling me from
towns and villages around. You were for me a great support,
encouragement, spiritually and financially (EEFE). God
helped us until today, July 15, 2010 to minister on an 80 km
area, to plant nine churches and now we are ready to start
the tenth church (each having between 10 and 80 people).
Everyone is sad. Please help us through your financial
support that this cloud of sadness to be lifted up. The devil
wants to stop us to plant the tenth church, to hinder the
bread of life and the living water to arrive to this people or
at least to be delayed. I don’t ask for a white horse, I will be
ok with a donkey: a second hand car to help me in this
ministry. Respectfully, I am just pouring my soul before
you and before the Lord, and I thank you. (Evangelist Ion

KALKUTA, INDIA (Liviu Vlad) with the help of the
Lord I arrived safely at Kalkuta. In the fist two days in India
I had four car break downs. It is interesting that in both
cases the spare wheels were not usable. It is very hot and
humid. Please pray for me for wisdom. Everything is
different. Everywhere people are looking at me as to a
strange person and I think they might be right. I am white,
tall and big. I cannot hide from the crowd. Everywhere it is
dirty and the smell sometimes is horrible. The city is very
crowded; sometimes you walk faster than driving. Every
driver has his own rules and they honk a lot, you can hear
them every 3-4 seconds, sometimes with no reason at all. It
is very noisy and just walking through the streets when you
get home you got headaches. (to be continued)
