Tuesday 1st. Pray for the mission in Frinton today.
Pray for all involved, prepared to do the unseen jobs as well as the seen, to build friendships
for Ian and Lindsey as they lead with others, that all who attend will have a
real sense of God's presence and love for them.
Wednesday 2nd. Ask God to bless all who attend Dovecot this afternoon
for 'Singing Together'. Thank Him for the opportunity to share fun and
fellowship with the residents. Thank him for the gift of music and song and
the way it can reach into and touch people's lives when other things can't.
Thursday 3rd. Pray for the Building Group as it meets tonight, for wisdom
and discernment as they look at information coming through in the
feasibility study being conducted by Ranald Boydell alongside previous
work.
Friday 4th Pray for our leaders, Ian, John, Linda and Bill. Pray a blessing
over them and ask for wisdom and discernment as they seek to lead and
equip us.
Saturday 5th. From series by Rachel Jones on 1 Corinthians 13: read
1Corinthians 13:4. Thank God for all His patience to us as individuals and
as a fellowship, that despite all our human faults and failings He treasures
us. Pray that as a fellowship we would continue to grow with love for one
another with the same patience and love Christ has for us.
Sunday 6th. Pray for our service today and for all involved in leading. Ask
God to continue nurturing in us a sense of expectation and desire to hear
His voice. Pray for our young people as they take part in JAM today that
they will have a sense of God's love for them.
Monday 7th. Chattabox starts today at St Andrews Leckie. Thank God for
all those who will lead and help this week, pray for energy for them as the
week progresses. Ask God to bless all the families who will hear of his love
and salvation this week. Also pray for our deacons meeting tonight.
Tuesday 8th. Pray for our brothers and sisters in Islay, Johnstone and
Kilmarnock Baptist Churches and for Ivy Young, the Ministries
Administrator of BUS. Pray for the Fundraising Group meeting tonight as
they seek to plan activities over the coming year.
Wednesday 9th. Southside Ministry. Take time to visualise the south side
of Peebles and think of all who live there- many of whom do not know of
God's love for them. Confess times of feeling inadequate and overwhelmed
Read 2 Corinthians 1:20-22, then praise and worship God. Thank Him for
his faithfulness, strength and promises, acknowledging this is His work that
He has begun with us.
Thursday 10th. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-5. Pray that as part of Christ's church
we would love each other with Christ like humility, that we would be
with all and we would seek more and more to do things for the benefit of
others.
Friday 11th. 1 Corinthians 13:5. Thank God that He keeps no record of
the wrongs we do. Pray that as a fellowship we will do that too when we
are hurt, disappointed and let down by our brothers and sisters. Ask the
Holy Spirit to help us repent, forgive and move on, looking forward not
back.
Saturday 12th. Thank God for our mission partners and for all they are
doing in the everyday situations they find themselves in to share God's love
and message of hope within the communities they are living and working
in. It's the Church Picnic in Biggar today: pray for safety, fun and fellowship
for all who attend.
Sunday 13th. Thank God for the opportunity to freely meet together to
worship Him. Pray for our service today and pray a blessing on any visitors
attending this morning. Vicky's Tearoom meets this afternoon. Pray for a
good time of fun, fellowship and safety for all who attend.
Monday 14th. Pray for King's Park, Kirkintilloch and Kirkwall Baptist
churches and Jenny Wilson, PA to the General Director of BUS. Pray for all
the teachers starting back to schools today ahead of their pupils and
students, especially those within our fellowship.
Tuesday 15th. Thank God for all our young people. Pray for them as they
start back to school this week, some starting for the first time, all going to
new classes and teachers and some to new schools.
Wednesday 16th. 1Corinthians 13:6. Thank God for the fellowship He has
given us through the truth of the gospel and for his love to us. Thank God
that we can see the changes his love can bring in the lives of folk in our
fellowship. Praise and thank Him.
Thursday 17th. Pray for the Now group meeting tonight to prepare for the
church meeting about phase 1 of our building project. Pray for wisdom and
discernment as they await the feasibility work being prepared by Ranald
Boydell. Pray a blessing for Ranald, thanking God for Ranald's offer to
carry out this work and liaise with Scottish Borders Council on our behalf.
Friday 18th. Continue to pray for the ministry of the garden, thanking God
for this amazing area that he has given us.
Saturday 19th. 1Corinthians 13:7. Ask God to help us grow in our love and
relationships with one another, to knit us together and love one another in a
way that encourages, trusts, hopes and perseveres through easy and hard
times.
Sunday 20th. Pray for Ian as he leads us this morning, for the children in
JAM. Pray we would all come with an expectation that God is going to
speak and a willingness to act on what we hear.
Monday 21st. Pray for our brothers and sisters in Knightswood, Ladywell,
Larbert Baptist churches and Beatrice Anderson, Finance Administrator
BUS.
Tuesday 22nd. Find somewhere quiet, listen to what you can hear and
look around you. Allow God to speak to you through whatever you hear
and see then pray as you feel led.
Wednesday 23rd. In the darkness of life remember glow worms living
deep underground in pitch darkness. To see their light you have to be still
and silent, if you are their light shines through into the darkness. Read
Psalm 46:10 then take time to be still in God's presence.
Thursday 24th. Pray for the joint meeting of deacons, building group,
fundraising group and NOW group as they look together at information that
has been assembled and together prepare to present to the church
meeting on 30th August.
Friday 25th. Pray for our brothers and sisters in the other churches in
PRAYER DIARY
Peebles, thanking God for the opportunities we have to serve Him together
in Peebles.
Saturday 26th. 1 John 3:1. Pray as you feel led.
Sunday 27th. Remember our All Age service today and BBQ at the Kings
Meadow. Thank God for this opportunity to invite family and friends to
share in our service and fellowship.

Tuesday 29th. Take time to sit and pray for our meeting tomorrow night.
Ask God to knit us together ever more closely with each other and Him as
we seek to discern His will for our fellowship.
Wednesday 30th. Continue to pray for our Church Meeting tonight. That
those who come would have a real sense of God's presence and leading,
and that there would be an atmosphere of love and openness.
Thursday 31st. Diversity meets tonight in Peebles. Pray for a deepening
sense of fellowship and friendship for all who attend.
