Our History:
Lynette Battle, back in 1992-95, was first involved with her church in Child Evangelism clubs in her
local city. While raising and homeschooling her children, she remain activily involved in discipling
children whether through the foster care system or through the local body. In 2011, God merged
Lynettes passion for the fatherless with her passion for teaching. And for the last 6 years Lynette and
her team have been more creatively involved in the Charlotte, NC area. They have been reaching and
ministering to urban, at risk, and international background children and youth (currently about six
nationalities). They have been involved in a variety of approaches like clubs for kids, after school
programs, mentoring and discipling kids, character development programs, summer camps, prayer
walking and door to door experiences, evangelism, mercy helps programs, family involvement, etc.

Our Vision:
Disadvantaged children and youth being reached, become Kingdom of God minded and transformed,
and be transforming their communities, city and world around them

Our Mission and Approach:


Go to and engage disadvantaged children and youth where they are and then involve them in a
creative community of Biblical grace with simple, reproducing truths and stories, appealing
experiences, and disciplines contextualized just for them. Use various proven, best practice attractive
group activities and mentoring. Share Christs Gospel, facilitate character development, disciple them
with a passion for Jesus Christ, a love for one another and those far from God, respect and be
involved in the Church, and launch into the world practical equipping to serve others, share good news
and build healthy communities of light.

Our Core Activities and Values:


Outreach.. Effectively go to and connect with at risk, unchurched children and youth,
including those of multiple international, ethnic backgrounds
Fellowship. Build intentional and caring biblical relationships with the child or youth and then
the family through excursions, meals, weekly game night, lunch at schooletc
Discipleshiptrain and equip them to grow in Christ with proven Biblical, simple, reproducing
training, be leaders in their community, scholars at school and active participants at church
Mentorship.. assist youth in identifying developmental goals and to build the competence,
character and discipline necessary to achieve those goals
Love out Loud..serving the community through service that meets practical needs in
neighborhoods, school, community projects and artistic endeavors
Worshipgrowing in God through praising, prayer and prayer walking and listening as well as
studying the Word.
Launchthrough example to be passionate followers of Jesus Christ , to serve in their church,
minister to the needy, and give back to their communities.

Our Program Elements:


1. Conduct weekly events for the purpose of connecting with new children and families
Prayer walking, hanging out, and talking in near-by neighborhoods; hand out materials
Events where we knock on doors, pray with residences and share the gospel; share Jesus Film
Special events outside the club meetings aimed at non-club kids

2. Operate various clubs using gospel tactics from the mission field that will work well with each cultural
context (Besides using interactive teaching and discipling, use oral storying and discussion lessons;
including using segments of multi-language Jesus Film stories and children coloring sheets)
Real talk discovery Bible clubs (geared as outreach especially to those far from God while
discussing and teaching on contemporary issue topics)
Neighborhood Bible clubs (geared more for those wanting spiritual growth and Bible learning
as followers of Christ)
Summer camps

3. Provide weekly opportunity to come together for relational building


Weekly game night
Lunch at school
Excursions

4. Operate a mentorship/ enrichment program mainly for the purpose of training youth to be discipled
leaders with character development
Girls of Character (grade school)/ Young Ladies of Grace (teens) -Character Building
Small group / one on one discipleship mentoring (for next level discipleship and training to
disciple others)
Weekly discipleship accountability and goal setting challenges for future leaders
Go into the community and serve in various practical need mercy helps programs
Train youth to assist with after school enrichment and mentor programs
Train young leaders to head up worship services in neighborhoods
Train youth to assist with summer camps and back yard clubs

5. Engage parents of the children we serve to empower them to grow as leaders in their families and
communities for the glory of God.
Hosting neighborhood bible studies for moms
Use creative ways to invite families to be involved in their childrens activities
Create special events to meet the needs of families, i.e., clothes closet, food pantry, and life
skills training

6. Partner with the church and local non-profit organizations for opportunities for service
Train key leaders to assist in other non-profit or church mercy programs or projects
Opportunity for service using their performing art training(senior homes, etc.

7. Once they are truly developed and mature, deploy them to serve the larger church and total
community with their talents and abilities.

Our Budget and Resource Needs:


Transportation (donated 15 passanger van or 12,000 for used one)
Non-parrishable snack items (groups of 25 or more/)
Gas cards
Girls of character christian program ($5,000.00)
Young Ladies of Grace mentor program ($6,725.00)
Food for meetings ($2500.00 or prepared meals for 25 or more )
Tutors
Mentors
Neighborhood club material ($250.00 or arts & craft supplies )
Modest church clothing (sizes 4T-20w)
Full time salaries for Lyndsey, Leah and Grace ($12,000 total)
2 week summer camp enrichment (25 kids x$75.00 per child)
Host home for retreat
Teen conference ($50 x 25 kids)
