Opening:
Greeting the students.
Time: 5 min
I will put on the board a tree and the students will have different letters card, then the
students will stick a letter that related to (a vowels family), to make a word.
The students will follow the instruction which is they should share the clips to answer the
flashcard.
Each student will have a flashcard
Time: 20 min
Small
Then the student first will see a picture in the flashcard to point the right letter related to the
picture to make a word family of ( letter vowels) with clips.
The students will follow my instruction which is they should shara a colour after they write the
word of the picture.
All of the students will have a worksheet.
The students will read and write the word after that they will wite it.
Then they will color a picture related to a word.
Guided Experience activity 3:
I will give the students an instruction which is they will have one basket in which all the words
and they should share it together.
The students will have a flashcard of pictures.
Then they should stick words related to the pictures to make words family (of the letter
vowels).
Closing
Time: 5 min
Each group will have an umbrella with different letters, the students will make a word family
Whole
of vowels (a), to know if the students recognize the vowels (a) to make word family with (at).
Assessment
I will make a checklist of the student's names to write notes while they do the activities to know who
is need more focus and practice, because all of the students will have different levels of the activities,
and that will shows who need more help, because each student has different way to learn and
understand. Also, these activities will help to develop their fine motor while they do the activities.
Reflection:
Today I start my first lesson which is about vowels. Firstly I surprised that in KG at this
smaller age they start learning about vowels and I feel it is difficult, not easy to teach it, and I
feel that I should provide a fun educational activity to let the children enjoy and understand
the lesson faster. However, when I teach a vowels lesson I change my opinion because it is
good to teach kids at this age vowels to develop their knowledge to let them know a different
kind of words and their meaning. On the other hand, I feel that I did well on my first lesson
and the materials that I was used I try my best to provide a resource of all activities to be
professional to use it for next time. The thing that let me feel proud of myself when I teach
the students vowels lesson, all the students are involved and they understand the concept of
the lesson, that we have five vowels (a, e, o, i, u). on the first activity they understand and
they finished faster they point the right letter related to the picture. The second activity the
students are able to match the word to the picture, and the last activity most of the students
understand the lesson and recognized the words of vowels (a) to make family words and
circle a picture related to the words that they write it. I feel that I need to improve my English
language especially the way of asking the children because they learn from me how to ask
inappropriate way I need to focus on this aspect more to let the children have a strong
language from their childhood.
