Having recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the

University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), I have been eyeing for a career path that will highly utilize my
engineering, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis skills as preparation for future management,
academia, and consulting responsibilities. My lifelong affinity and passion for complex problem-solving
and teaching has led me to pursue a well-established career in Data Science, Optimization, Research, and
University Teaching.

I currently work as a Process Analyst in Smart Communications, Inc. and as a Part-time Industrial
Engineering lecturer in the University of Asia and the Pacific. Juggling these roles always remind me of the
importance of honing my skillsets and broadening my experience on one hand, and sharing these acquired
knowledge and skills to aspiring engineers on the other.

In my current work as a Process Analyst, I am responsible for analysis, documentation,

improvement, and integration of enterprise processes. Belonging to a team that specializes in enterprise
technology and supply chain processes, I have had the opportunity to be involved in one of the most
critical business projects of the company to ensure stable and quality supply of the companys SIM cards.
SIM cards serve as the breathing air of the company to generate revenue from an acquired subscriber;
hence, stockout would mean a humongous disaster. The biggest challenge of this project is to ensure
continuous inflow and maximization of the limited Mobile Identification Number (MIN) supply, as the
license to use mobile numbers depends on the NTCs permission. One of my biggest contributions to the
MIN-SIM program, thanks to the knowledge I acquired from my Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification,
is to pursue supply recovery initiatives. I am involved in the recovery of Postpaid MINs, automation of
Prepaid MIN recovery process, and reconciliation of prepaid MINs with conflicting data in systems. With
these initiatives, our team is able to prevent impending threats of MIN supply scarcity. Part of my roles as
well is to design the best controls to prevent recurrence of supply and SIM quality issues.

In my part-time lecturer role, I am teaching Advanced Mathematics and Advanced Statistics to

Industrial Engineering students. The role enables me to combine my corporate experience, theoretical
knowledge, and teaching competencies

As a Process Analyst, analyzing and improving Enterprise processes which encompasses a

complex interconnection of functions, activities, tools, and systems hones me in recommending holistic
and sound solutions to complex business problems. My teaching role prepares me to become an effective
communicator, mentor, and people manager. I believe that the demands of both jobs provides me with a
rigorous training to become a highly competent and holistically trained

My career decisions and future plans is deliberately fashioned based on my belief that the current
business landscape implies a sustained and ever-increasing demand for management scientists and
engineers. Not discounting the fact that a managers experience, leadership and decision-making skills,
and business acumen are indispensable, decisions based on experience and managers numbers alone
in this fast-paced and ever-evolving business environment will not suffice. The current, technology-driven
landscape demands a swift understanding of customers needs and wants to develop quality products and
services. Fulfulling this demand requires a multidisciplinary approach: one that requires science
mathematical modeling,
I aim to become a highly competent and holistically trained solutionist, one who could provide an
an empirical,

Although a managers experience and business acumen is still indispensable, I believe that management
decisions need to be grounded

Given the fast-paced advancement of technology, decision-making need to be more approached as

Upon graduation, I intend to enhance my experience by applying my acquired skillsets in a well-

known company. On the sides, I want to further my knowledge by pursuing further studies in Data Science.
I also aim to
