Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will introduce the lesson idea to the students by asking them a
little bit about our government and elected officials. The teacher will ask who the highest elected official is in
the country and whom the other elected officials are. The students will each be able to take an educated
guess on who they think are elected officials. This project should take anywhere between 15-20 minutes to
complete. The students will see a lesson on how the teacher uses the software and allow the students to
make a graphic organizer or diagram after the teacher is done showing the students how to do it. Student
learning will be assessed by having the students create a graphic organizer or diagram on the chosen elected
officials. I have attached an example from inspiration.

The final product will be able to show the teacher how much the students understand the content based on
how the graphic organizer or diagram is set up. Each student will create a main idea bubble and make sub
categories based on the main idea bubble. By using different colors and pictures in their work, the students
will be able to effectively show the teacher how much of the material and content they understand. The
teacher can promote higher order thinking by having the students pick a subject or topic and create their very
own Inspiration project. They can use this to also help make study guides for assessments. The teacher will
then conclude the lesson by having the students do a Ticket out the door about the different elected
officials. The teacher will be able to provide almost instant feedback based on the answers that the students
have given.
